A perfectly pleasant stay! Kate was very responsive and even gave us a suggestion of a good place to eat. Tabora’s was yummy! We chose the spot on the property closest to the lake so we could have the view. It was level, super quiet and peaceful. We even had two whitetail deer run past our rig one afternoon. At night we could hear cars at the Watkins Glen racetrack in the distance, which was super cool. Only about 10 minutes from the town of Watkins Glen, it was super convenient. During part of our stay, the local police department used the property to train its K-9 division, which was intriguing to watch. (It would have been nice to have been notified that this was a training rather than a man hunt, though. We were a bit nervous until we figured it out.) :) Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely recommend!

A last minute decision to go camping led us to pick here, it's a large campus and plenty of space to keep between others, it was just my bf and I with our 2 dogs for an over night. We arrived late morning was set up by noon and was just us till early evening another couple came and set up across the way. We enjoyed the view and peace and quiet. We did walk down the road down to the watefront but there were other homes so we didn't go all the way down. It's a hike! It's a primitive set up no bathroom or running water so we came prepared. Would definitely go again.

Despite the description, it did not have a port-a-potty. The host was not communicative. She did, however, refund the camping fee. Also the view was not as suggested. The property was rather junky.

Grassy Field - Dorms
The site seemed like it hasn't been kept up with in a bit, as there was a bit of trash and an overgrown thornbush right in front of the view of the lake, as well as some other overgrown areas. Also the posting said there was a portapotty/outhouse but I didn't find one. Pretty sure that the small building downhill was it, but it was too overgrown to know for certain. Lastly, around 8 pm one night a car pulled in to the site, with bright headlights shining into my tent. I was hoping for some privacy but didn't get it. Overall a nice site, but a few gripes that I would like to see changed before considering going again.

Host was very kind and available, helpful. Was disappointed in the extremely steep and windy hill to access the dock. I was not comfortable walking or taking a vehicle down.

Grassy Field - West
We loved staying here. Beautiful view of the lake (from one spot), easy access to Watkins Glen and surrounding wineries. We were the only people there, very quiet. We hope to stay again next summer.

Gorgeous site with expansive lake views. Very private and expansive. Easy access to the wine trail and all the amazing farm stands in the area. We loved our stay and would come back.

The area was beautiful and peaceful. It was nice to be able to sit by the lake and read without having to share the area with anyone else. Kate was super helpful with her directions and checking in on me.

This is a great developing space for camping in a mode field with a great view of Seneca Lake. They have a picnic table and firing public space and brought in port a john while I was there. Kate was very accommodating and helped me find the space that I needed with a variety of options. Even though it says dogs must be leashed if there is no one else there, it a great place to play frisbee with your dog.

Basketball Court #2 East
So communicative! The location has fabulous views of the lake and is very convenient to quite a few breweries, wineries and distilleries. Level court and of course not much shade. Great price and perfect location!

Basketball Court #1 West
I didn’t realize the basketball court was between two buildings. So we ended up camping in the grassy spots with our friends. We had a nice quiet time.

We have a 30' fifth wheel and this was such an easy spot for us. It was very private, and quiet. Such a fun area to explore. I would recommend to anyone.

It’s a great place to boondock that’s very close to state parks, like Watkins Glen. Tons of waterfalls, hiking and biking. Many beautiful spots to set up on. It’s an old abandoned school with lots of space to set up your stay. We’re in a large 5th wheel with a generator. Stayed 2 nights. Would highly recommend it!!! Kate was very quick with responding for clear communication our entire stay!
