Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins:
> Bell's Cabin- Main cabin that sleeps up to six
> The Chatham House- Sleeps up to ten
> Chief's Cottage- sleeps up to ten
All cabins have their own separate listing and can be booked together or combined.
The main cabin, Belle's Cabin, is made from hand hewed logs and is the only cabin furnished with a king size bed.
All cabins come equipped with full bathrooms, updated kitchens, wood stoves, and the main cabin has a walkout porch on the second floor. All cabins have climate controlled heating/cooling units as well as hot water.
Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life.
The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land.
There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property.

During or right after a NorthEast Tropical Storm or Severe weather the power can go out.

Welcome to The Record Room! Our property has a vast collection of vintage, classic, and current vinyl albums that play solely from solar power. Its audio system delivers sound on the inside and out for a campfire mood that can't be beaten.
The Monguap River is close enough to be seen and heard from the cabin, but the adventure of getting there is half the fun! The Delaware River is only 2 miles from our location, and River rafting is a big business around here. A small artesian-fed creek runs right next to the cabin. It lends to the relaxing sounds of water with many quaint spots for you to dip your toes into, paired with a wood-fired tub that feeds off of the stream, which can only be explained by experience (weather-dependent). Our hot tub also pairs beautifully with our newest addition to the cabin, our sauna! Perfect for a cold plunge afterwards (more information in the add-on description)!
A queen temper-pedic bed and super comfy overstuffed futon will assure a good night's slumber. The Record Room's covered outdoor kitchen is designed to extend the awesome vibes into every meal.. (I.E., Flat top grill, single burner, and stainless grate grill all powered by propane, cast iron frying pans, and utensils). Our outhouse is designed and maintained by the women of the family, and great pride is taken in making it a favorable experience. A small wood stove heats the Record Room on chilly mornings and nights. If you're looking for the fine line between camping and glamping, this is your place! We recommend having some prior camping expertise, and we must mention that there is no WiFi/ service. We have a few spots available for your friend circle to pitch a tent and enjoy the experience with you!
A basic convenience store can be located three miles to the right of our property with all your basic needs (including gas). For your grocery shopping, a small family-owned market can be found within 10 minutes up the road. If you're looking for activities, there are plenty of rafting/canoeing/kayaking companies for your enjoyment. We also recommend downloading a trail-finding app, as there are an abundance of them all within 5 minutes!

2 nights at Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat
This cabin was exactly what my partner and I were looking for for a quiet two-day retreat that felt outdoorsy without all the work of true camping. Space heaters and a woodstove kept it fairly cozy for cold November nights, and there was a ton of wood available for the outdoor firepit. We enjoyed exploring the collection of board games and CDs inside, plus outdoor badminton and frisbee under the lights. Beautiful clear stargazing, and easy driving distance to some great hikes.

We stayed at the Record Room Cabin this past weekend and absolutely loved it! The hot tub with warm water and hot tub made for such a unique experience — truly unforgettable. The sense of privacy and peace was perfect, and the vinyl record collection was just incredible. There's even a magnificent pool table under a canopy with a view of the forest – a truly stunning sight. I agree with all the comments above. This is truly an amazing place! I really hope to come back again!

My sweetheart and I had such an amazing time at The Record Room. We stayed for 3 nights and we wish we had one more! It was a cozy getaway that felt timeless. We loved setting the vibe with the records, dancing in the living room, and just enjoying some slow, peaceful days. It was cold when we went and one day was particularly rainy, but there is a lot to enjoy indoors and the fireplace kept us warm and cozy. One thing to note is that the wood provided is rather thin and burns fast. For this reason, heating the hot tub and keeping the indoor fireplace lit is a JOB! We had to add every 15 minutes or so. Our recommendation is to start early on the hot tub and bring some of your own logs as well - even better if they’re the big fire-starter ones. Overall it’s a special place. Masen and his family are great hosts and we hope to make it back again someday.

3 nights at The Record Room
Masen was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The Record Room was a cool place to stay and we really enjoyed it there. Yes, it takes some time to get the hot tub warm but just make a plan and make it happen cause it’s awesome! It was especially magical with a full supermoon lighting up the sky!
A great little retreat with lots of hiking in the area, and pretty views. The property was fairly well equipped. The stream on the property was dried up from no rain, and though bummed, Mother Nature is in charge, so we readjusted our expectations. Just a little disappointing how quickly the power was gone from listening to records. We didn’t really need power but for that, with our constant campfire and our lanterns while we were on site, but we wanted wanted more music! Haha The collection is fun and diverse!
Overall, the Record Room is a cool experience and I recommend it!

2 nights at Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat
This was exactly what I was looking for. It was quiet and relaxing, but there was a cool town nearby to explore if I want to see other people. There were tons of games, so you would never need to feel bored, but also a TV just in case as well. The ability to just pick fresh herbs from outside always makes me feel great.
I really felt like a friend was welcoming me into their cool house.

We had such a lovely time here. Waterfalls galore! We did an overnight since we are total amateur campers but with the stay it was wonderful. We did this with our 7yo and 4yo and even took multiple dips in the waterfalls (mid-September). The water was cold but completely invigorating. The scene was very tranquil, peaceful and just secluded enough for us city dwellers! Including the waterfall right on premises, we were able to experience a total of 4 tremendous falls and the gorgeous Mongaup river. There was beautiful plant life along the walks surrounding the campsite. What a great hidden gem! Would totally go again.

The Record Room is beyond cool! Think rustic but cozy! You get to sleep in a warm, cozy and comfortable bed while still being in the magic of the woods. There's an outdoor kitchen for fireside meals, a beautiful sauna just a short walk away, a hot tub run by natural spring water and more! You have books, games and a record player inside and a hammock outside. The cabin is run on solar so be sure to preserve your power! We discovered an amazing waterfall just a 3 minute drive away as well as got to see an amazing overlook just 5 minutes away! There's also a pool table on the property that you can use!
Your phone will most likely be on SOS mode while staying at the cabin so be prepared with all that you need before arriving.
Overall, Masen's HipCamp was such a cool experience and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away and recharge your soul with the magic of this property!

This place was fantastic! My group and I had the best time with being able to hike, camp, swim and play football. Also we had good use of our porta-pottie/bathroom close to our site and had a shed where we could keep our items dry if it rained. I highly recommend to anyone and we are definitely coming back again next year!

Everything we needed was right at hand and it was amazing to wander the waterfalls without having to get in a car. When we did get in the car, the River walk less than 10 min away, we relaxing and beautiful. Circle Park is 15 min away and it’s a great place for kids to run free. Can’t wait to come back and explore more!

My family had a great time at the record room! We enjoyed everything: the great outdoor kitchen set up, the record collection, adding on to the “fairy camp” in the woods, stargazing on the hammock etc etc. The cabin is so cozy and the loft bed was very comfortable. The pit toilet is well maintained. We really felt we had everything we needed! The hot tub wasn’t able to be used while we were there sadly but it looked very nice. Instead, we enjoyed the sauna which was incredible. It was like being at a nature spa! We would love to come back. Great experience for all (adults, kids and dogs)!

The record room is something truly magical that can only be explained by experiencing for yourself. It is the perfect spot to connect with nature without sacrificing our creature comforts. It was the perfect spot to camp with our two little girls, exploring the magical forest full of wonders, fairy houses and cool sculptures. The outdoor kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals while watching the hummingbirds and butterflies sip from the surrounding wildflowers. I'd take it over a modern kitchen any day. We loved having dance parties in the cabin playing all the records and soaking in the hot cedar tub under the plentiful stars. Lots of great spots for fishing and hiking in the area. The cabin itself is super comfortable. We had one rainy day on our trip and honestly it was my favorite day. Listening to the raindrops on the tin roof with a fire going and a good book and a good record. The rain made the forest even more beautiful. Masen and his dad are great hosts, quick to answer any questions, Super friendly cool people who put a lot of thought into every little touch of this place. There was even a suprise pool table not on the listing! My only qualm is that we overpacked as they supply you with pretty much everything you would need, and that we had to leave. We cant wait to come back!
