I know this is listed as an RV spot but it’s also a great tent spot & car camping area as well. Been here a few times and will be back again. Private, safe and scenic, what else could you ask for. Theres also a clean porta potty on site and an epic, natural stone firepit.

We had such a wonderful stay at this campsite! The host was incredibly accommodating and always quick to respond! She was amazing! It made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming from start to finish. We brought our two kids and our German Shepherd!
The campsite was peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully set up. It was also great because it was super close to stores and restaurants as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would happily come back again. Highly highly recommend for families and dog owners! 🏕️🐾✨

KSJoy’s property was as described and a nice spot to hang out for a couple of days before the busy holiday season kicks in. Full electric hookup. No water this time of year (was just shut off last week). Nice area. Drove around. Followed the host’s recommendations for local food. Great advice! Had our four dogs with us. The property is close to a fairly busy road so having good recall (or we brought a fencing system) is essential. The road noise Fri-Sun in mid Nov. was not an issue. The host was very communicative and answered all questions but was hands off which we liked. Highly recommend.

Perfect if you live around hartford and want a quick getaway spot. Very acominating. Private but not far from food, beaches, and shopping. We got there when it was dark out so it was helpful that all we needed to do was set up the tent, they had everything else you could need there.

We enjoyed staying at KSJoy's land. It was exactly as described. You can hear some road noise due to the closeness of the road but because of the home on the property, it's still very private. Our dogs enjoyed being off leash and there was a good amount of room for them to roam around. If in the area we would not hesitate to stay again.

I love the variety of camping styles you can have on KSJoy’s property. I have hammock camped, tent camped and will absolutely be back for a car campout soon. There is a gorgeous, rustic stone fire pit that I haven’t used yet but may on my next trip. The onsite bathroom is a welcome amenity. The yard is beautiful. There is a bit of distant road noise but it does not detract from the peaceful surroundings. I already can’t wait to come back. Five stars all the way… if there was a star rating 😊

Wanted to meet up with friends in between where we live and NYC and it was the perfect distance. Super nice outdoor shower and very cool fire pit. Also perfectly centralized where you can either go to a beach or a walk in a state forest. Don’t recommend tent camping as I-95 gets very loud at night and the main road next to the house can be loud as well. Otherwise had a lovely time.

Calm and serene place with everything to make a camping stay easy and thoroughly enjoyable. A quick drive to the beach or Westerly to grab supplies. We relaxed, had a late eve fire in the firepit and cooked great meals on the grill.`It was our first HipCamp experience and it was perfect in our new mini camper. The birds singing in the morning throughout the woods.. priceless and soooooo much better than a phone alarm! THANK YOU!

We had a wonderful time at this private, peaceful campsite. The shady space and surrounding forest were perfect to feel away from it all. The outdoor shower and portapotty made our first time RV camping a breeze. We brought our dogs, and they loved chilling in the yard with us on the leads. KSJoy was super helpful and welcoming, and helped us get situated when we arrived. Would happily camp here again.

This was a return trip for us to ksjoy’s spot &it gets better every time.She is clearly a host that takes pride in what she does. From start to finish, she made sure we had everything we needed. She even has a stand for things one might need like propane tanks, firewood etc.
Her location is fantastic too, its right off the highway and close to literally everything including grocery stores, the beaches, mystic seaport, newport and so much more.
What really makes this spot so special is while being so close to all the things to do, it still has perfect seclusion, its like a oasis. Even being just off the rd, your far enough back that its nothing but silence back there.
This spot is perfect for someone tent camping to one staying in a large rv such as us. She offers a grill for cooking or a outdoor shower for one’s that need it. We easily back our 36’ 5th wheel in and park it in a manner where its just us and the woods. The home up front is vacant and been so for some time so you get all the privacy one could ask for. We have a 1 year old who loves to move and the property is exactly what someone with kids would want.There is a big circle path we run laps chasing the dog with our son in his stroller. There is a 30amp electrical hookup along with good well water hook up too. My wife and I our hard to please when it comes to sites but this one is 1 of our top 5. In closing, ksjoy is a person that takes pride in her camp and has a special place that one would be lucky to stay at!

It was exactly what we needed. Our dogs are a little reactive and this was secluded enough that they were able to relax and have a good time. It's pretty close to the road, but the road wasn't busy. It was very nice to be able to chill by the fireplace with the dogs and just be. Highly recommend!!

We camped in our motorhome at KS Joy’s land for three nights. The yard is lovely. Surrounded by woods with singing birds and very private. The yard is very well maintained, and there is an outdoor shower and an outdoor privy. There’s 30 amp pole, which you may use and move about the yard at will. The location is extremely convenient to the Connecticut coast, including Mystic and the historic Seaport.
The only possible negative is that the house is off a busy road, and there is some road noise. Overall, a wonderful place to stay..
