Discover a magical setting close to everything in the Catskills.
This solo campsite is tucked into a private meadow pocket, bordered by a tumbling creek, woods, and my horse's favorite pasture, with views of the surrounding hillsides and the river valley leading to the Delaware River at Callicoon. Your accommodation includes a canvas tent on a platform with a queen-size air-mattress bed, a wood-burning stove, and two Adirondack chairs. A pop-up tent, that sleeps up to 6 persons, is available. We provide a large blanket and pillows with cases, but not sheets. Outside, there's a fire pit and a picnic table with benches. We supply fire-starters (kindling, newspaper, matches), but not firewood (available for purchase at a nearby market). Potable water is available in containers that are refilled upon request. The toilet is rustic.
Our farm is home to herds of White-Tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, Painted Turtles, Red-Tail Hawks, my Off-The-Track Thoroughbred horse, chickens, ducks, and Aslan, my Cocker Spaniel. Birdsong, frog song, the babbling creek, and the thundering hooves of Deva will serenade you to sleep.
During your stay, you're welcome to hike, swim, and fish in the pond. Boating and fishing opportunities abound nearby, in the Delaware River or the famous fly-fishing creeks. Bethel Woods is a mere 20 minutes away. Wahl Dairy Farm has been a family run and owned small farm since 1921 when August Wahl moved their family to Callicoon. August was a butcher by trade, and the farm started as a family homestead, raising their own chickens and cows with the help of a few horses and of course August's father who was very handy and could make axe handles and wooden wheel spokes.
The Wahl homestead became Wahl Dairy Farm in the 1940s when August started selling milk, two or four cans at a time, to the creamery. August's son, Vernon, took over the business and built it up; at one point about 100 cows were being milked! Vernon's son Ross took over the farm in 1995 and diversified it. Ross regularly raises chickens and pigs and grows pumpkins, in addition to the 40 or so milking cows currently on the farm (there are also calves and heifers).
The farm is about 200 acres in total, including 15 acres of woods, 15 acres of "hunting" land (deer and rabbits roam free in the scrub), and close to 150 acres in production with pasture and hay. We never feed corn silage! We believe the corn gives the milk a more sour taste (you are what you eat!). We're proud that we've always been in grassland and committed
to raising a mostly grass fed dairy herd, a quality not found in many diary farms today. We're excited to share this place with you!
In addition there is excellent cell phone service on the farm! Great for digital nomads and everyone who needs to stay connected. The site is the second highest point in Sullivan County. Some of the most beautiful views in New York State!

Relax in a secluded, comfortable tent while enjoying the music of the frogs. The land is a mix of cleared and wooded areas with a half acre pond. In the spring the pond comes alive with the singing of frogs and the blinking of fireflies. Enjoy a campfire in the evening and a brilliant display of stars. The pond is nice for swimming or paddling. We provide a kayak or just sit on the dock or relax in the hammock.
The village of Callicoon is a ten minute drive with great restaurants, a brewery, distillery, wine bar, grocery store, vintage shops, live music and a wonderful farmers market on the weekend. From town, you can also book a canoe trip on the Delaware River. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a 15 minute drive for great concerts and an interesting museum. There will be a list in the tent with suggested activities in the surrounding area if you choose to go exploring.
We provide kindling, firewood, bedding, fresh eggs from our chickens and brownies from our kitchen. There is a small cupboard attached to the picnic table with everything you will need for meals on the campfire. A cooler is provided, please bring your own ice. There will be 2 large jugs of water at the site and additional water at the handwashing station on the back side of the outhouse. The site offers total privacy. Parking is within a couple minutes walk to the site and there will be a cart to help you transport your gear.
We are a couple of longtime residents of this beautiful piece of the planet and we look forward to sharing it with you.

We loved out stay at Frog Pond! The setting is amazing, and there was so much thought put into the site to make it so any stay would be enjoyable and relaxing.
Before we even got there, Ginny kept an eye on the weather for the dates of our stay. Rainy and in the 40s. So, she reached out to let us know that she would be supplying a heater for the tent so we could stay warm. She also maintained contact during our stay to ensure that we were comfortable.
The additional tiny touches, such as the freshly laid eggs and probably the fudgiest brownies I have ever had, definitely stood out. And we appreciated the folder of suggestions of things to do in the aread that can be found in the tent.
The site tself was gorgeous and we had fun exploring the area.
Definitely recommend staying, and already can't wait to go back ourselves!

Not only my partner and I enjoyed our stay, but our fur babies had such a lovely time too. We had the most wonderful stay at Mountain Bliss and are so thankful for the amazing hospitality.
Host Marion was incredibly welcoming, kind, thoughtful, and very helpful throughout our stay. She even let us borrow power banks when we needed them, which we truly appreciated. You can really feel how much care she puts into making guests feel comfortable and at home.
We loved everything from the peaceful overall view, the rustic toilet setup, the big trash bins for convenience, and especially the heater that kept us warm during the changing warm-cold night weather. Every day felt relaxing and cozy.
If you’re looking for a much-needed escape from the busy city life like we were, this place is absolutely for you. Mountain Bliss truly gave us peace, comfort, and beautiful memories with our dogs. We would happily come back again.

We had an amazing time! We helped chicks hatch, they gave us a few farm fresh eggs, we held baby lambs and laid out in the sun with a three day old highland cow! They are all so friendly and welcoming, the animals and owners. They let us camp out with the view of the water and didn’t bug us at all but we’re very helpful with handling the animals properly and taught us a few things. We will definitely be back!!

We had such a great experience at The Neversink River Isle! The campsite was peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for a weekend getaway. The sound of nature and the beautiful surroundings made the trip even more special.
Blake was also very kind and accommodating. He let us stay a little later last Sunday because it rained the whole Saturday, which we really appreciated. That thoughtful gesture made our trip so much better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet and enjoyable camping experience!

On our arrival, we were greeted by a cute pup, cat, two adorable shaggy cows, chickens, turkeys, sheep, and goats. The turkeys chortled in unison on our arrival like trumpeters. I was immediately smitten with the whole scene! The lake is serene, with breathtaking views within a short walking distance from the camp sites. The owner was friendly and responsive. It was the best camping trip we've had!

Staying at Beaverwood Farm was so much fun and was a great weekend getaway. The farm is very spacious, and even with multiple groups there, we had our own section to set up. There are great views of the lake from the campsite. All of the animals are really friendly, expect them to be around the camp. The hosts were great, they had a custom map of both the farm and the nearby area with food and hiking recommendations. Recommend staying here!

This is a wonderful and welcoming camping spot. One of the biggest highlights was meeting a huge potbelly pig and a longhorn that stopped by to say hello—such a unique and memorable experience!
The owners were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The location offers beautiful views of Swan Lake, which added to the charm of the stay.
Best of all was the tranquility—peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect escape from the everyday rush. A truly special place for anyone looking to enjoy nature and unwind.

Site 65 was fabulous. I did a quick tent camp with my pup and we loved the privacy of this space. I had plenty of room to move around and back my car in. Wood was delivered to my spot for easy campfires and it was a great chance to disconnect. Bridget was a great host and I can’t wait to go back and stay a little longer next time.

We booked this campsite for our anniversary and it was spectacular! The fire pit was a great size and we purchased the wood so there was a stack of firewood waiting for us. You can fish right from the site (we saw two nice sized trout at night but couldn’t catch them). The bugs were not a problem for us which surprised me (but at night if you are using a headlamp a mosquito net helps keep the bugs from hitting your face, also we didn’t have any ticks bothering us at all)
The spot is private, huge, and so peaceful. It also looked like there were some outlets we could’ve used for a projector if we would have brought it. If you’re looking for a great camping trip this is the spot!
Ps: We didn’t rent the inflatable kayaks from Blake but we regretted it immediately when we saw people peacefully strolling along the river fishing on theirs.

I stayed for two nights at this farm in new york. Nice small farm with free roaming animals. The animals were friendly and liked to interact with you.
The campsites were level, clean, compost toilets were available. Outside shower with warm water. Caught a few pickeral in the lake.
Nice campsites with plenty of room. I will be back again and would recommend this place to campers. If you like farm animals you need yo visit here. Paul and Marilyn are great host and are making a nice campground.

3 nights at Majestic Farm & Organic Orchard
Majestic Farm's Tiny Orchard house is a gem hidden in the beautiful forest. We had wonderful experience - lots of space and privacy, but also meeting other guests at the common kitchen area. The cabin was amazing: one adult and 2 kids slept upstairs and one adult slept downstairs. There is no electricity at the cabin, so we brought lots of led lanterns and light strings to make it cozy. There is a short walk downhill to the lake. Also, the hosts are amazing - super responsive, and I strongly suggest to buy and cook their meats on the coals - tender, juicy, flavorful, finger-licking goodness!
Sam's point - very cool hike not too far away. Also, Braden Brook Stables are 15 min away.
Last but not least - warm shower in the middle of the forest is as ecstatic and tranquil as you can possibly imagine.

I had such an amazing stay at Beaver Wood Farm in Swan Lake, NY. One of the best parts of the experience was definitely the farm animals, they were all so friendly and added something really special to the stay. Being able to walk around and interact with them made it feel way more personal. It’s not every day you get to enjoy that kind of connection with animals in such a peaceful setting. The property itself is beautiful, quiet, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up, which made it easy to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Waking up to fresh air, nature, and the sounds of the farm was a highlight. If you’re looking for a laid-back getaway where you can disconnect, enjoy nature, and spend time around some incredibly friendly animals, this place is definitely worth it. I’d absolutely come back again. The host Paul and Marilyn were super nice and welcoming as well!

If you’re looking for a welcoming group of people with a great view along the river, this is the place. The bathrooms are great too. A bbq on Fridays..all welcome to join & contribute. It looks like sometimes they might have live music on a small stage near a common area. You can also just enjoy the quiet of your own site.
