Canoe-Picnic Point is the place to be! That is, if you have a boat or are like a fish in the water. You see, this secluded island on the St. Lawrence river, is well, an island. Automatic coolness factor, +10. The park is on Grindstone Island, which is one of the largest islands in the famous “Thousand Islands” area. (Rumored as one of the most beautiful places in the state). As you would expect, the boating and fishing is excellent and is what draws most people, but the island itself is quite pretty with picnic areas scattered about and secluded, forested campgrounds. Canoe-Picnic Point is a wonderful visit and only accessible by boat… how cool is that?

State park 8mi from Alexandria Bay · 30 sites

This stunning lake is renowned as one of New York State's premier fishing destinations, attracting anglers from far and wide. Spanning nearly 11,000 acres, Black Lake stretches over 20 miles in length and reaches up to 4 miles in width at its broadest point. The lake's landscape is characterized by striking rock formations, sandy bars, and underwater shoals, creating an environment reminiscent of the rugged beauty found in northern Canada. Majestic rocky islands dot the waters, providing a picturesque backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts. The Indian River and Fish Creek serve as the primary sources of water for Black Lake, which flows northward for over 20 miles before joining the Oswegatchie River. Wildlife Treasure is a new business, established in 2016.  We're young but growing fast, developing great relationships with the public.  We have a solid base of customers who enjoy snowmobiling, ATV riding, hunting and now hopefully, camping.  There are numerous outdoor activities throughout the region, some of which may require transportation.  We're here to help; we'd love for you to have a great experience while staying with us.Learn more about this land:Stay in our comfortable, cozy cabins or pitch your tent somewhere on our 40 acres.  Take a walk in the state land adjoining our property and explore wildlife.  There is a "beaver" pond nearby and the Black River is not too far away.  If you love the outdoors, I'm sure there's something you'll find intriguing here.
