There is a forest and pond for ducks behind the garden . Our place is for Wildlife, to be fed, and given water and safe space to raise young. We are located in an area where the birds of the world fly from the north to the south and then change direction each season. Many lizards . Many wild mammals . There are many farms in the area. With Horses , goats , chickens , ducks , mules, donkeys , other livestock . We have no pets and no livestock. At night this is dark ( we do have solar lights on walk ways ) and it is peaceful. A safe zone for travelers . Serene , gentle and lovely . You get your privacy . New Mexico is so amazing, all year . We have inside space in Fall / Winter . Welcome to Mother Bosque Garden . Started in Corrales NM in 2010 . We are in the North valley of Albuquerque New Mexico 87107. The same families have lived here for 100, 200, 300 plus years . 1000s of years . Native people have lived in this valley for close to 20,000 years more . The Rio Grande is very close by ( 2 miles west of us ) bike or by car . We are close to route 40 and route 25, just 7 mins. away . There is a Food Co-op with in a 5 mins. drive . And a regular store and gas within one mile of our place. The Indian ruins and artifacts fascinated him then and he is still happy to share this history with whoever shows an interest. With all the improvements made by his father and family through the years, you will also learn to have a love for the history and beauty here on this unique 30-acre treasure. You can explore Native American ruins that were inhabited by some 2,000 people between 700-1100 AD. The grounds are wonderful to walk with a little lake which draws elk, deer, hawks, blue herons, etc. Easy to access just 3 minutes off I-25. We are 5 minutes away from the Pecos Natl Monument and 15 minutes away from the Pecos River with plenty of great fishing spots…Visit Santa Fe (20-minute drive) or Las Vegas (30-minute drive) with dozens of restaurants, museums, art galleries, etc. We look forward to your stay!

This cabin sits on a ranch that's been in this breathtaking valley for generations. There are six other amazing cabins spread throughout the 40 acres. We are only 14 miles from Manzano Mountains and about 31 miles from Salinas Pueblo Missions National Park. This particular cabin was once a pig barn and this ranch was once a fully operational ranch that served its owners and community so well. Padilla Ranch is a 375 acre historical ranch that includes the ruins of the Tajique Indian Pueblo which dates back at least to the 1500's. 50 acres will be designated for HIP CAMP. In the Tewa language, Tahiki means"where the grasslands meet the forest." It is one of the oldest pueblos, if not the oldest, pueblos in the United States. The natural feature of Padilla Ranch is it is located on the East slopes of the Manzano Mountain range and contains numerous pinon, junipers, pine and oakbrush trees that provide perfect environment for such wild life as elk and deer. The Tajique Creek runs through the Padilla Ranch & is generally a live stream and includes a dam which furnishes water for the Tajique acequia system (which is a historic irrigation system) . Padilla Ranch also contains numerous hiking trails, horseback riding trails nearby. The Manzano Mountain wildness is located approximately 7 miles west of Padilla Ranch in the Cibola National forest where in the Fall, there is a large maple, oak and aspen forest, which is one of the largest in the country. There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy various level hiking trails including a 20 minute hike to a creek and waterfall in the forest (some steep spots and creek is intermittent) or climb up Shaggy Peak (seasoned hikers only please). NOTE: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Our guests are welcome to used the shared space that encompasses a picnic table, flat pavers for lounging, yoga, or hammock usage, and a firepit area for use when fire bans are not in effect. A great base camp for hiking, biking, and all the wonders that New Mexico offers. We are located 1.3 miles back on a dirt road that has some steep sections and can have washboard sections during certain times of the year. During winter times, 4-wheel drive is necessary. We welcome (and LOVE!) dogs, but they must remain on leash and out of respect for our neighbors, are unable to allow disruptive/barking dogs.

Camp with has expansive views of the Sangre de Cristos, The Cerrillos Hills, and the Jemez mountains. Camp With is 8 miles away from the artistic and historical coal town of Madrid and mining town Cerrillos. Our 210sq ft foot canvas bell tents Includes a super comfortable queen (Juniper) and full (Yucca) size bed, fresh cotton bed linens, towels, two headlamps, battery-powered lantern, games and a mix of eclectic, modern, and antique decor. Enjoy the sun, stars, and views, connect with nature, immerse yourself in rural off-grid living and unwind in the Ortiz mountains. Juniper Camp is set up for a couple in the queen-sized bed. Yucca camp has a full sized bed. We are happy to accommodate up to 2 extra guests inside each tent. Additional guests are responsible for their own sleeping bag, pad, and pillow. You will see this as an option while finalizing the booking. The campsites offers an open off grid private outdoor kitchen where we provide you a shade structure with cooking utensils (pots, cast iron pan, spatula, tongs), cutlery, 3 gallons of filtered water, propane bbq, propane two burner stove, plates, dinner linens, glassware, foil, paper towel, french press, bowls, and a platter. There is a table under the kitchen roof to enjoy your meals. There is no electricity, so bring your ice and coolers. We are doing several small permaculture projects sprinkled throughout the land. There is a chance you could run into us building or planting something on the far side of the 15-acre property, but we like to give our guests privacy, peace, and quiet (how we would want to be treated ☺️). The unpaved road to the campsite is 3 miles and filled with stones, hence our street name, Stoney Road. We highly recommend a vehicle with clearance as there are some rocks on the road that are "oil pan busters." There are no street lights on the dirt road; we recommend arriving at the site during the day. After rainfall and during the monsoon season (May-September), the road can be very muddy. We don’t want you getting stuck. Let’s be honest here: high clearance and or 4x4 on your vehicle is recommended. There is a communal composting outhouse as your bathroom during your stay. We have an open air seasonal hot outdoor shower. (May-mid October) Please be mindful and use the Castile soap we provide. The greywater from your bathing feeds the plants. We remind you that this is a rural off-grid campsite: there is no electricity. We have created this space for you to connect with your loved ones, play games, and enjoy being outside. The closest restaurants are in Cerrillos and Madrid, 8 miles away. You are responsible for your safety, food, ice, and relaxation. We have items for sale in a cool, old, Kelvinator fridge (acts as a vending machine) if you forgot things like batteries, an extra pair of socks, a beanie, sunscreen, eye drops, canned goods, tums, ibuprofen, flashlight, etc. You will receive the key code upon your booking to access items for sale. We are close to route 40 and route 25, just 7 mins. away . There is a Food Co-op with in a 5 mins. drive . And a regular store and gas within one mile of our place. Come eat Traditional New Mexican Foods and Heal with Very Living Traditional New Mexican Herbal Medicines . Relax, rest, find repose. Padilla Ranch is a 375 acre historical ranch that includes the ruins of the Tajique Indian Pueblo which dates back at least to the 1500's. 50 acres will be designated for HIP CAMP. In the Tewa language, Tahiki means"where the grasslands meet the forest." It is one of the oldest pueblos, if not the oldest, pueblos in the United States. The natural feature of Padilla Ranch is it is located on the East slopes of the Manzano Mountain range and contains numerous pinon, junipers, pine and oakbrush trees that provide perfect environment for such wild life as elk and deer. The Tajique Creek runs through the Padilla Ranch & is generally a live stream and includes a dam which furnishes water for the Tajique acequia system (which is a historic irrigation system) . Padilla Ranch also contains numerous hiking trails, horseback riding trails nearby. The Manzano Mountain wildness is located approximately 7 miles west of Padilla Ranch in the Cibola National forest where in the Fall, there is a large maple, oak and aspen forest, which is one of the largest in the country. Spacious Wilderness camping is one of the most attractive features of Padilla Ranch for tent and other forms of outdoor camping.

Now we welcome adults, and other groups to enjoy the vast and wild high desert nature up on this ridge. There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy various level hiking trails including a 20 minute hike to a creek and waterfall in the forest (some steep spots and creek is intermittent) or climb up Shaggy Peak (seasoned hikers only please). NOTE: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Be aware that the roads can be snowy, icy or muddy and rutted ( 4-wheel or All-trak recommended in certain times of year). We don’t guarantee the road will be plowed.

Just down the road, called, RED ROOT , next to the Food Co-op on Rio Grande Blvd. Our Space is in the heart of the Griegos Neighborhood , A very old style , old world area. Safe area. Same Hispanic families have lived here since 1712, no joke, that is real. Rural feel for an urban / suburban setting , space space, off street parking. We are NOT an RV park nor are we a " camp ground " . We Are an Organic Garden ( Urban Permaculture ) that you can stay inside a magical, growing goodness space . This place is very, very private . The parking area is not private . Our road is dead end , very low traffic . The garden wall around the whole tent area has a 6 foot tall , very thick wall , and trees , surrounding every thing. There is a forest and pond for ducks behind the garden . Our place is for Wildlife, to be fed, and given water and safe space to raise young. We are located in an area where the birds of the world fly from the north to the south and then change direction each season. Many lizards . Many wild mammals . There are many farms in the area. With Horses , goats , chickens , ducks , mules, donkeys , other livestock . We have no pets and no livestock. At night this is dark ( we do have solar lights on walk ways ) and it is peaceful.
