As well as a monastic and very grounding Ensuite Bedroom, or a simple campsite if you want to bring your own camper or tent. All facilities have access to a guest bathroom inside the main house. I offer dog sitting while you soak at Ojo, healing modalities that you'll find in the Extras section, and my dear neighbor Jackie takes appointments for massages with homemade essential oils. +++ 6 miles to Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. There you will find the best restaurant in the area, with locally/organically farmed produce. The land is naturally and beautifully wild- it is not a manicured campsite. The dirt rd down to the property is best suited for higher clearance vehicles, but is manageable for city cars.  With land by the river comes the mosquitos- June to August only. They are predominantly active during sunrise and sunset; long loose fitting clothes and a repellent work great. Waterhole, Waterfall and climbing sites near by, as well as Plaza Blanca, Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch and the Taos Gorge are 30 mins drive away.  *No cell service in the greater area. The property is in the agricultural village of El Guique just north of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, where indigenous settlements have existed for many centuries due to rich soil, proximity to the Rio Grande and Chama rivers. While we are in a rural area, you will be 10 min north of the town of Espanola and 5 min from the Ohkay Owingeh rest stop (with a great El Parasol Norte takeaway restaurant- don't miss their tacos!). It's easy to run to Espanola's Wal-Mart, Lowes or other stores if you forgot anything or need to purchase supplies. In terms of the campsite, our 5 acre property is a narrow agricultural strip that extends from the irrigation acequia (ditch) at the top of the dirt road down into a dense bosque (forest), ending in a path to the Rio Grande. The campsite is in the bosque (forest) a little distance from our house in the privacy of the cottonwoods and elms. At this time we do not have other campsites sharing the space so you will be camping by yourself and have the bathroom to yourself. It is a short walk from the camp to the Rio Grande where you'll find stairs to the river. The river is wade-able in the late summer but in winter/spring the currents are strong and not advisable for young children or non-swimmers. You and your family are welcome to walk back to our farm to interact with goats, chickens, and our friendly dogs, use the playground, or swing on the large swing by the pond. This property is at its best Summer through mid Fall when all is green, the pond is full and river is calmer. Winter camping is still doable but may include snow, a frozen pond, and leafless trees, as well as visiting sandhill cranes. The site is spacious, has a firepit with a cover. We can supply wood if you need it (just text us). In summer we have mosquitos being so close to river so come prepared with some serious sprays or creams- citronella candles and herbal stuff won't be effective here. You will have a lot of privacy in the bosque, and it is relatively quiet from urban noise. But you will be in agricultural country, so you will hear sounds of roosters, horses, goats, peacocks as well as our neighbors doing their thing in the farm land all around you. There can be dogs barking so if any of this noise bothers you at night you will want to bring earplugs.

My husband and I stumbled across this beautiful and serene property by accident in 2020 just as Covid hit. We feel blessed to be here and feel the need to share it’s calming, restful qualities. We have three adult children and have three grandchildren. We also have eight international children as we hosted international students for four years. You are welcome to come sit by the fire and be social or just do your own thing. Learn more about this land: Sites located across the property for up to 8 groups. The RV camping is located near one of our horse corrals and above our irrigation Acequia, above or next to the house, or in the field down by the arena after haying is complete (usually after the first week of July as long as the rain cooperates). Can back in or pull through and has 110v power nearby. No water to hook up to, but we can fill your tanks via hose by the house or arena. Other sites available if you don’t need power, or have a generator.  Property is within a 100yds of national forest service that gives access to off-roading, hiking, biking, horse riding, fishing, and winter snowshoeing, cross country skiing, etc. We are located just off the High Road to Taos in Llano, 29 miles south of Taos and 55 miles north of Santa Fe. We are eight miles from Ski Sipapu and eight miles from Rio Santa Barbara Canyon.  Your well-behaved pets are welcome. We also have one great dane (Raggy), a great dane mix (The Morrigan), one ranch cat (Sasha) and four horses (Gentry, Shadow, Mattie & Jr G). The dogs are a rescue of some kind. The Morrigan is black, 3.5 yrs old and comes out of a rescue in AZ. She went in with her litter as a 5 month old puppy, and she came here about a year later. She is reticent and suspicious, so ignore her and she will come up to you on her own; continue to ignore her. Ragnar (Raggy) is our most recent rescue and is from Las Cruces. He's 3 yrs old and a merle. He suffers from anxiety and fears children. We are working him through his fears, and he is doing really well. The weather here tends to run cooler, as we are located in the mountains in a small valley at approximately 7,800 ft above sea level. In the spring through fall, temps will average from mid 40°F up to mid 60°F at night and mid 60°F up to mid 90°F during the day. Temps can get into the 100°F's in the summer, but that is rare. Generally if the sun is out, it is warm or hot even tho the actual temps are not. It's a high-altitude affect. The opposite is true as well. Cloud cover will feel cooler. We also experience monsoon style rains that occur in the afternoon generally starting in July and running into August or later. In the late fall through early spring during winter, the average temps usually run from 0°F up to mid 20°F at night with occasional dips into negative temps and in the day generally run from mid 20°F up to the mid 40°F range. Same as above - if the sun is out, it will feel warmer, etc. We do hay the fields, so we may have tractor activity going on in the late spring and early summer. In the winter we will be clearing snow from the roads and feeding hay. Can't wait to see everyone this year!

Vacant desert landscape lot with a trail cut into the natural vegetation. Can host up to 3 vehicles or two campers. Nothing much here but a place to get away for the night and still be close to the city. You will need 4x4 to comfortably make it to this site!! Not all of us have a weekend free but we might be able to get away for the night and a breakfast before having to return to soccer games or meetings. This is also a great spot to get out and try out new gear without exposing yourself to a long difficult haul only to find out you forgot the propane or the shovel. Take the 5 minute drive from civilization and find yourself far enough away to breathe easier. Cross the dry, sandy, river bed and you’re almost there. Feel free to stay a night or two whenever you like.

 Situated at 6300 ft. above sea level the Chama River Valley is surrounded by forested mountains. There is white water rafting on the Rio Chama and Rio Grande Rivers nearby during spring and summer. Within an hour there are ski areas at Taos and Santa Fe during the winter. Ojo Caliente Hot Springs is 17 miles away and has a full spa and restaurant. There are beautiful hiking trails throughout the area and Abiquiu Lake is less than 20 minutes away. The location of the Tiny House is in a quiet, private and beautiful setting. Abiquiu Lake is only 15 minutes away for fun swimming, Ghost Ranch is 20 minutes away and has 3 beautiful hikes. Santa Fe and Taos are 60 minutes away. The tiny house is a healthy house built on the golden mean and has no electrical radiation inside except wi-fi. All material used are nontoxic.Notable aspect. There are no pets allowed on the property.

Victoria was a wonderful host. She let me know easy directions to her home/site. The site was beautiful and restful, which was good because I had become ill before arriving so spent a lot of time in the camper. There was a snowstorm the night before I was to leave, dumping 8 inches of snow to dig out of. Victoria helped me dig out the camper and truck while her husband cleared the driveway with a tractor. Given the road conditions, Victoria gave me recommendations for which road to travel to increase my safety. She and her husband were the best of hosts!

We just returned from a fantastic RV trip! The entire campsite was wonderfully serene, offering a genuinely peaceful escape. The setting was stunning, with beautiful scenery surrounding us everywhere we looked. It was also an extremely easy place to set up our RV, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for a relaxing, beautiful, and hassle-free nature getaway, this spot is truly nice and highly recommended. Also loved hearing the history lesson about the land that's was really cool.

The location and convenience of the spot can't be beat. We ran into a bit of an issue with muddy conditions trying to get into the parking spot but it sounds like thats very irregular. Very cute little place. Nice private location, but easy to find. Pat is very kind. There were a few things in the Silo that didn't work upon arrival. Pat brought in the maintenance man, but was unable to fix them during our stay. Thanks for putting in the effort. The bed is very firm but we found it very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and linens situation. Porches are really nice for enjoying the views. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location and spacious campsite!! Host has 2 sweet and friendly dogs that love to linger around camp, but take note that the dogs wandered off with our doormat and we weren't able to find it- host said this is something that happens here but we wished that was communicated in advance so we didn't set that out as usual (was a sentimental gift from my grandmother). Otherwise loved being so close to Santa Fe and would stay again!!

we had a great time at one of the RV sites. We stayed one night on our way back home. I would recommend arriving before dark. Some nights it can be very dark out. Brenda made sure we made it to out spot and was super fast with communication. Thanks for the pleasant quiet stay.
