Find peace at our campground in New Jersey which is due south of the Wharton State Forest and surrounded by other wildlife management areas that dot the protected ecoregion. We offer back-in and pull-through RV sites that can accommodate all sized RVs and trailers! Each RV site includes a picnic table, fire ring, 30 or 50-amp electrical service, and sewer. We have deluxe patio sites and some rustic cabins too! Friendly people are waiting by the phone to tell you about our amazing activities, and an atmosphere that all campers will take to heart. Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins: > Bell's Cabin- Main cabin that sleeps up to six > The Chatham House- Sleeps up to ten > Chief's Cottage- sleeps up to ten All cabins have their own separate listing and can be booked together or combined. The main cabin, Belle's Cabin, is made from hand hewed logs and is the only cabin furnished with a king size bed. All cabins come equipped with full bathrooms, updated kitchens, wood stoves, and the main cabin has a walkout porch on the second floor. All cabins have climate controlled heating/cooling units as well as hot water. Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life. The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land. There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property. Great campground and friendly tenants. We weren’t there for the amenities such as an arcade and swimming pool. The owner is very friendly and runs a nice place to stay for a few days. We will definitely recommend and return ourselves. My only wish is that the cabins were a little bigger. Since this was the first time my wife went camping we left late the second night rather than stay til morning. Our dog, not a people/animal dog, was a bit of a pain too.

Entire campground was very clean with lots of activities, a fishing pond and a river to float down. The cabin had ample room and my pups were welcome. We even pitched a tent right outside for my son to camp out. The store was huge and had everything you could possibly need or want so you don’t need to leave the site.

Brendan’s property is beautiful and private yet close to everything. The sunset was gorgeous! Driving with our 21’ trailer was easy off the main highway. We loved our stay. Brendan was an awesome host and brought us firewood and a fire pit. I totally recommend this site for relaxation and privacy.

We had a great weekend in the chief’s cabin as a group of four. It truly could not have been any nicer and still be considered a cabin. The furniture and construction gives the cabin a great smell that reminds you you’re in the woods even as you’re soaking in a copper tub and surrounded by air conditioning. The site features multiple large fire pits and a full stock of wood and kindling for burning. We visited crater lake but be prepared for an almost 40 minute drive despite it being only a mile away by hiking trail. Dave is a kind and well informed host and we felt completely safe, comfortable, and secluded at his property.

I had one of the 2 tent only sites. Close to the showers. The facility is clean and appears to have a lot going for it, especially if you have kids. The pool would have been inviting except for the temps being in the 60’s and having a bit of rain. Dawn, the Owner was great. Even offered to come down to the camp store after it was closed of if I needed anything, like ice cream.
