This 150-acre property has been in our family for 32 years and now houses three generations. Built in 1900 it was a traditional dairy farm until the 50's and 60's when potatoes were planted on the fields for the Boston and New York markets. By the 70's and 80's it became a gentleman's farm for a retired couple from New York City and the dairy farmers nearby hayed the fields. When we purchased the property in 1993 we continued offering the hay, built greenhouses, planted vegetable and flower gardens, ran a traditional Bed and Breakfast, now airbnb. We leased some of the fields to a local organic seed company for 13 years until they purchased their own property. The farm remains certified organic and is still being hayed by a local dairy farm, the gardens are community managed using regenerative and sustainable practices when ever possible. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat. This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times. It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill. Please check the calendar for available dates. Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. Whenever possible, try to arrive before dark because there are no lights at most sites, which can make setup difficult. A note regarding electric vehicles (EV): If you have an electric vehicle and would like to tent camp, please select one of our full hookup RV sites. If you have the proper electric adapter for your vehicle, you can charge your vehicle at the 30A RV plug while tenting in the field near the RV site. We do not supply these adapters, and we cannot allow you to charge your vehicle unless you have reserved an RV site with full hookups. We operate a small working farm on our 50 acre property. Approximately 7 acres is cleared fields where we grow hemp, pigs and chickens. We are at the end of a dirt road with private access and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. If you decide to stay with us we can guarantee you your own private tent site to get away from it all, or a beautiful spot to park your van, car or small camper, all while still being only 10 minutes to the amenities of town, 15 minutes to world famous mountain biking at Kingdom Trails, or 20 minutes to breathtaking Lake Willoughby. The Orchard House at Peck Farm Orchard is the building where we serve our customers during our orchard season September through October. The property is located on a dirt road in rural Vermont and is surrounded by conserved land in current farm use. Please note: This property has been repurposed for the very special event of the full eclipse April 8th, 2024. Travel and weather in Vermont in April can be like summer, like winter, something in between and all of it in one day. Please pack and plan accordingly. Spring(March-May) travel can be very muddy. The building is made of rough cut wood from our farm property and features a cook stove, power, refrigerator and access to an outdoor fire circle. The floor is concrete so an air mattress or better yet a cot is recommended. Is you plan on using the wood cook stove please let us know. There is one string of plug in lights, no other lighting is installed. A traditional outhouse is located just 50 yards from the Orchard House. Drinkable well water is available upon request with 24 hours notice. 2 miles from the Orchard House is a small cooperative country store with food supplies. The Peck Farm Orchard is located on a beautiful 4 mile loop frequently used by runners and walkers. There is easy access to local hiking trails and snowmobile/skiing trails. The orchard and parking area is located on 18 acres with access to trails spanning more than a thousand acres.

Mountain home tent sites sits on a nearly 200 acre historic hill farm in Tunbridge, VT. If you are looking for a quiet, private, and breath taking space to camp, look no further! Over the years the farm has undergone many changes, but dairy farming has been a consistent activity. Still actively farmed as Fledgling Farmstead, our farm is home to cows, sheep, chickens, goats, fruit trees, and a veggie and herb CSA and farm store. We also host workshops and on-farm events including the annual music, arts and food festival called Fledge Fest held at the camp site location each summer. Find more information on our website! The forest is actively managed for firewood and saw logs. The land is incredibly diverse from a high exposed hill top to a deep a forested mountain brook and everything in between. Come pitch your tent on a remote hill top surrounded by amazing views and nearly two hundred acres of diverse forests and pasture lands. The camp sites are private from each other with a large common area at the top of the hill with a fire pit, lean-to shelter, outhouse complex with water for hand washing (seasonally available) and sweeping views of the Green Mountains. There are trails for hiking and mountain biking (no dirt bikes or ATV's) all over the farm and a beautiful brook in a sheltered mountain valley. Just a 5 minute drive to the bottom of the hill is the first branch of White River; a beautiful clean river for swimming and fishing crossed by multiple covered bridges that lead to the farm. The Orchard House at Peck Farm Orchard is the building where we serve our customers during our orchard season September through October. The property is located on a dirt road in rural Vermont and is surrounded by conserved land in current farm use. Please note: This property has been repurposed for the very special event of the full eclipse April 8th, 2024. Travel and weather in Vermont in April can be like summer, like winter, something in between and all of it in one day. Please pack and plan accordingly. Spring(March-May) travel can be very muddy. The building is made of rough cut wood from our farm property and features a cook stove, power, refrigerator and access to an outdoor fire circle. The floor is concrete so an air mattress or better yet a cot is recommended. Is you plan on using the wood cook stove please let us know. While the cookstove can provide some heat and the ability to cook it does not heat the whole building very well. There are outlets for use in the building. There is one string of plug in lights, no other lighting is installed. A traditional outhouse is located just 50 yards from the Orchard House. Drinkable well water is available upon request with 24 hours notice. 2 miles from the Orchard House is a small cooperative country store with food supplies. The Peck Farm Orchard is located on a beautiful 4 mile loop frequently used by runners and walkers. There is easy access to local hiking trails and snowmobile/skiing trails. The orchard and parking area is located on 18 acres with access to trails spanning more than a thousand acres.

Our property sits high on a plateau near Cole's Pond in Walden VT. Our land is a little over 100 acres in size and we use it to collect maple sap for our maple syrup production. Best site I've ever stayed at! Good amount of space between sites but still an easy walk to the kitchen+water, outhouses were clean and convenient with an excellent sense of interior decoration! We stayed at Birch Grove on a particularly cold, rainy, and windy Halloween weekend and Nick already had a large tarp set up over the easiest tent spot.... plus a cow skull and a few candles for the ambiance. Excellent vibes 👌

Incredible site with multiple pitches spread out around the land. We were lucky enough to be put on the beat site...on site 7 (despite booking the field site). What a view and great facilities. Fit pit with grill for cooking whilst watching the stars and white mountains. Camp cooking kitchen and shower near the main house. Fire wood for sale. Compost toilet at each site. The only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer! Look out for the friendly moose and check out the little boat on the pond. Fab site 10/10.

Site #6 was on the other side of the field from where we stayed at site seven, but was just as charming!

Big circular drive with lots of space. I like it. Ryan was quick to respond and he checked in to make sure all was well. Little details are welcoming, like lights, toilet stall, picnic table, and fire ring. Statewide fire ban while I was there. The highway is close but the noise wasn’t too bad for me. I fly fished the river but did have to drive for public river access.

Had a fantastic time! Kevin was very responsive to questions ahead of time, well maintained site and easy directions for locating it. Only flaw was the amount of noise coming from the motor speedway nearby. The location and views outweighed this minor annoyance since we just opted to put on a playlist to drown it out. The evenings around the campfire were filled with nature sounds and the babbling water. We’d stay here again! Kevin as a great host!

Sacred Nectar Sanctuary is one of those rare places that completely exceeds expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Nick — the owner and creator of this sanctuary — is not only a master artist but also a true visionary. He has built an incredible environment for camping and van camping that feels both natural and magical. The setting is stunning, but it’s the details that make it unforgettable. The sauna and the natural cold plunge in the river were absolutely idyllic — one of the most relaxing, grounding experiences I’ve ever had. Nick built it all himself, and you can feel the care and craftsmanship everywhere you look. There are surprises around every corner — art, little design touches, and thoughtful amenities. Even the bathrooms and showers were an upside surprise — beautifully done, clean, and clearly created with love. Nick himself is also a highlight: cool, flexible, and genuinely great at customer service. You feel more like a guest at a friend’s property than at a campground. If you’re looking for something unique, restorative, and full of heart, this is it. I can’t recommend Sacred Nectar Sanctuary enough — we can’t wait to go back.

Sacred Nectar Sanctuary was our favorite Hipcamp yet! Nick's property has all of the key amenities of a traditional campground, plus a few extras: community kitchen, firewood for sale, extra parking, walking trails, outhouses, access to drinking water, etc. However, unlike a traditional campground, the sites are very spaced out and private, which makes for a really great camping experience!! We were able to allow our dogs to wander off-leash at our campsite and in the surrounding woods, without bothering any other campers. Also, the sandy clearings at our site made it so easy to pitch our tents! We will definitely be back, and can't wait to check out some of the other sites at Sacred Nectar!

Our stay at Camp Ebb and Flow was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, hosts Jeff and Jill greeted us with such kindness and warmth that we instantly felt right at home. They went above and beyond by sharing local recommendations for hiking trails, scenic road trips, and great spots to grab a bite — their hospitality truly set the tone for our visit. The property itself is beautifully maintained — spotless, thoughtfully landscaped, and full of charm. It’s clear that Jeff and Jill take great pride in keeping everything in perfect condition. We especially appreciated their off-leash policy, as we travel everywhere with our dog, Dex, and he absolutely loved the freedom to roam and explore safely. I'd be remiss if I did not mention the bath house, yes, there's also a bath house. It's all enclosed, climate controlled, spotless, and includes Jill's personal touch with the stellar decor. If you’re looking for a place to escape the everyday hustle and recharge, look no further. Camp Ebb and Flow offers the perfect balance of peace and natural beauty. The gentle brook on the property was one of our favorite spots to unwind, listen to the soothing sounds of nature, and simply breathe. There’s no question — we’ll definitely be back. Where to go

White Mountain National Forest

Mere miles from Twin Mountain, White Mountain National Forest comprises over 800,000 acres of rugged terrain. Covered in hardwoods and conifers, White Mountain is a popular destination for hikers and backpackers of all skill levels who want to see the forest’s amazing sights, including the Appalachian Trail. Camping options abound in the forest with several managed campgrounds spread over Androscoggin, Pemigewassett, and Saco Ranger Districts. Find various amenities in each campground, including flush toilets, faucets, and hot showers, along with hookups for RVs.

Umbagog Lake State Park

About 70 miles northwest of Twin Mountain lie the southern shores of Umbagog Lake, home of Umbagog Lake State Park. The park offers a scenic lakeside camping experience with plenty of canoeing, kayaking, and swimming opportunities. At the western shore, Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge provides a unique habitat for diverse wildlife, including moose, waterfowl, and bald eagles. Then, set up at the park’s base campground that has two cabins and 27 campsites with electrical and water hookups, along with 33 remote campsites and four remote cabins around the lake. The base campground is also outfitted with flush and pit toilets, coin-op showers, and a camp store.

Mount Blue State Park

About 90 miles east across the New Hampshire-Maine border lies Mount Blue State Park. The largest state park in Maine, Mount Blue comprises about 8,000 acres with Webb Lake at its center. The park is tucked within the Western Mountains and offers year-round recreation, from guided canoe trips and walks in summer to sledding and cross-country skiing in winter. The park manages its own campground with over 130 campsites equipped with flush toilets, showers, and potable water. The campground has both reservable and first-come, first-served RV campsites with electric and water hookups, as well as a nearby boat launch.

When to go

Summer months are the most popular time of year in Twin Mountain. July is typically the hottest month with an average high of 76°F. In fall, campers can see the changing foliage, while wintertime campers will enjoy snow activities. February sees a high of 25°F and low of 8°F, with an average 17.44 feet of snow. Although many parks in the area stay open in the offseason, they may have closed facilities and less maintenance.
