If you’re seeking privacy, tranquility, and rejuvenation in the woods, you’ll find it at Camp Jack. Relax and enjoy your spacious private campsite in the scenic fields and apple orchards of our homestead, surrounded by hundreds of acres of private conservation woodland. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the delicate beauty of spring wildflowers blooming, take a meditative walk along mossy trails through the lush green shade of the summer woods, drink in the endless views of fiery autumn colors across rolling hills, or experience the magical fairyland of the Great North Woods in deep winter snow. Our homestead is located at the edge of the White Mountain National Forest, with its endless outdoor recreation options. It's a 15 minute drive to charming downtown Littleton with dining, breweries, shopping, seasonal farmers market, and Ammonoosuc River trail. 25 minute drive to Franconia Notch State Park, with access to Cannon Mountain skiing, Mirror Lake swimming, the Flume Gorge and Basin trails on the Pemi River, and 800,000+ acres of White Mountain National Forest hiking that includes Appalachian Trail access. 30 minute drive to the start of the Kancamagus Scenic Byway, which is gorgeous in any season and famous for fall colors. 50 minute drive to Mount Washington, highest peak in the White Mountains, with its famous auto road and cog railway to the summit (summit road open summer only). Whether you're a hiker, cyclist, fisher, hunter, leaf-peeper, snow sports enthusiast, or simply searching for peace, quiet, and natural beauty, the White Mountains offer something for everyone.

Peaceful pines at Camp Jack

95%
(10)
Tent site · Sleeps 4
Campers at this site will enjoy a peaceful 1-acre mowed field surrounded by a magnificent grove of Eastern white pines, red maples, burr oaks, and white ash. The campsite is steps away from a trailhead that leads to miles of walking trails through our 900+ acres of private conservation woodland. Our farmhouse is a short walk from the campsite if you need us, but entirely out of view of the campsite. SITE TOPOGRAPHY: The campsite area is in a sloping field bordered by our private gravel Lane. The field has a southward slope with several level areas for parking and setting up camp. This site is accessible only for vehicles with 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive with good clearance (e.g. Subaru Forester SUV can make the drive), due to some bumpy and sloped sections of the unpaved grassy field. WATER: There is no running water at the campsite. Potable water is available at our farmhouse via an outside tap accessible to campers, and we lend clean drinking jugs and 5-gallon buckets to campers on request. POWER: There are no electrical hookups or outlets at the campsite. WASTE DISPOSAL: There are no facilities for waste disposal at the campsite. Campers must pack out all solid human waste, solid pet waste, and trash at time of departure. Host can provide campers with trash bags, toilet bags/wag bag kits for human waste, and other cleanup supplies as needed, upon request. Currently, the nearest RV dump station is located in Bethlehem, a 10-minute drive from the campsite, and has a $10 fee for their dump station use. PLEASE READ REGARDING CAMPFIRES: Campfires may be enjoyed at this campsite, subject to host approval and local fire danger rating during your visit. If you would like to request a campfire, select the “Campfire” extra when you make your reservation on Hipcamp. Please review our campfire rules carefully, and message the host if you have any questions regarding campfire rules.
