One of the tent sites has water and electricity and another has electricity with nearby water. There is bathhouse with two toilets and two vanities as well as a shower with changing room. Potable water is also available from a spigot at the bathhouse. There are over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat. This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times. It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill. Please check the calendar for available dates. Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. Whenever possible, try to arrive before dark because there are no lights at most sites, which can make setup difficult. A note regarding electric vehicles (EV): If you have an electric vehicle and would like to tent camp, please select one of our full hookup RV sites. If you have the proper electric adapter for your vehicle, you can charge your vehicle at the 30A RV plug while tenting in the field near the RV site. We do not supply these adapters, and we cannot allow you to charge your vehicle unless you have reserved an RV site with full hookups. We loved the hot tub so much that Cliff prepared for us during our 2 nights stay. I would recommended to bring extra bedding if you plan to stay there in November, it get pretty cold in yurt.

My friend and I had such a lovely time! Our host Ryan was beyond helpful and kind to make sure our stay went well. The site was well maintained and easy to find. We also had a great open sky to stargaze and fresh snow in the morning which made our experience so much more fun. This was my first Hipcamp experience and it was a wonderful first impression!

Best site I've ever stayed at! Good amount of space between sites but still an easy walk to the kitchen+water, outhouses were clean and convenient with an excellent sense of interior decoration! We stayed at Birch Grove on a particularly cold, rainy, and windy Halloween weekend and Nick already had a large tarp set up over the easiest tent spot.... plus a cow skull and a few candles for the ambiance. Excellent vibes 👌

Incredible site with multiple pitches spread out around the land. We were lucky enough to be put on the beat site...on site 7 (despite booking the field site). What a view and great facilities. Fit pit with grill for cooking whilst watching the stars and white mountains. Camp cooking kitchen and shower near the main house. Fire wood for sale. Compost toilet at each site. The only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer! Look out for the friendly moose and check out the little boat on the pond. Fab site 10/10.

The site was beautiful and had everything you need! We were here in the fall so the other sites were mostly empty. Each site is large and wooded- we stayed in #5 secret field and it was huge and very level. Great spot! We will definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to Butter Hill Hideaway-Forest Retreat

I loved camping on Lori's land. All the glamping tents are very private, and you have to walk about 100 yards from the car, so there is no noise at all. The outhouse was super clean and so cool inside. The bed in the tent was very comfortable and had enough room for the dog as well. The land is beautiful with North Conway only a 30 min drive for great food and coffee! I highly recommend this Hip Camp!

Nick is a terrific host and it's obvious that this hipcamp is a labor of love. Kudos to Nick for preserving this beautiful property for generations to enjoy especially in the face of constant development and expansion northward. It truly is a sanctuary. Wildlife is terrific and diverse. Lots of deer, birds, Moose and great privacy between sites. I'll return for sure!

I loved camping here! The leaves were gorgeous in the morning. There was some road noise but it was nothing too crazy and I would still highly recommend this spot! The tree coverage and built in coverage was so nice to sit under especially since it was raining. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to land with service and close to town!

I really liked camping here, there is a fire place right by it but there was a no campfires rule in effect unfortunately. But the property was really lovely, and quiet. Felt like I was backpacking after that little trail to the campsite! I would definitely come back. Thank you!

An amazing stay at a beautiful property! It was a little hard to find- when I clicked the directions option on the booking, it took me to two different places that were both incorrect. The address for the campground is 262 depot street, and the campground map is difficult to find- doesn’t seem to be on the Hipcamp site. Our friends booked the river run site so we were able to take over the whole area, and our dogs could run around and play which was great! Very private and secluded, though it might have felt too close if people at the adjoining site (river run) were strangers. We will definitely be back, so many cool and different options for lodging!!

Weekend Trip to The Notch Hostel

First time hostel experience. I was expecting all 20 somethings, but pleasantly surprised all ages were represented. We camped in the yard and it was clean and well maintained with plenty of space. It allowed us access inside of the hostel and more importantly a hot shower. Everyone was welcoming to my small dog, and I felt safe both outside and in. Highly recommend.

The campsite was huge and the host was awesome. The property had so much space to explore and the 1 mile hike to the viewpoint did not disappoint! Great spot to see some late season foliage and we even got a chance to see the aurora borealis too. The no burn notice across the state of NH was a bummer but the host offered a portable propane fire pit instead which was amazing! Overall a great experience

Such a magical feeling place. Everything was perfect. You can tell that these people have their act together and know exactly what they're doing hosting. I hate that. I only got one night to stay there due to an issue back home at work. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be staying here.
