From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? But three is more realistic, and I cannot seem to change it. My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look. Winter offers easy access to groomed VAST trails in the field behind the house and studio. Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? But three is more realistic, and I cannot seem to change it. It was a good blend of having convenience, glamping, beauty, and quaintness. While the upstairs bed is comfortable, it does sit on the loft wood itself. One word of caution and to be prepared, the ladder that goes up to the loft is narrow and quite steep. There's also a bed on the main level, which I actually found more convenient for those of us who have to pee in the middle of the night. 😊 Overall it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would recommend it for anyone that wants a down to earth glamping experience.

My friend and I had a great stay at Jacqueline’s! The farm was beautiful and the campsite itself was peaceful and secluded. Although it felt tucked away, we weren’t far from some smaller towns and enjoyed plenty of biking and hiking nearby. Definitely enjoyed the convenience of not having to set up a tent etc. upon arrival, and appreciated their gesture of sharing a bit of firewood and a full cooler of water to allow us to settle in easily as we arrived fairly late. Thanks for a great stay!!

My husband and I had a cozy and relaxing weekend at Halfpipe Farm! The cabin was awesome, we loved the big arched window, loft and how it was built with love out of cool repurposed materials. Its quiet and secluded but also close to town. Sarah was super nice and responsive in our messages. Space was clean, has everything you need and even a hot shower! As a bonus she has a super cute and friendly cat that comes to greet you when you arrive. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend!!

Ellacoya State Park

Attention, RV campers. On the southwest end of Lake Winnipesaukee, Ellacoya State Park opens from mid-spring to mid-autumn and offers a range of amenities for your next beach getaway. Belknap Mountain State Forest

Not far from Ellacoya State Park, Belknap Mountain State Forest embraces Lake Winnipesaukee from a higher altitude. Hike up Mount Major, and you can spot the lake in the distance. On a clear day, you may even catch a glimpse of Mount Washington. If you’d rather look upward than outward, stroll the nature preserve trails for prime bird-watching.

All through the Lakes Region

Within a short distance from Lake Winnipesaukee, you can visit Squam Lake, Ossipee Lake, and Lake Wentworth, among others.
