We had the best time at Lisa's cabin. The cabin was super comfortable and accomodating. It had a everything we need for our stay, from plenty of kitchen supplies to extra blankets. The outhouse was also very clean and just a short walk from the cabin. We also enjoyed the walk down to the river. This spot really has it all. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Pine Brook Retreat

Perfect peaceful spot to relax and shut down. We didn't really need anything but we knew April was there if we did. There are a lot of little things April leaves in the cabin in case you forget anything which is appreciated. It is decorated so cute with little lights inside which I appreciated at night. The spot is gorgeous with the sound and sights of a brook and trees. What more could you ask for? Sitting by the fire watching the moon rise and sipping coffee with the sun rise was so enjoyable. We didn't bring our dogs but will in the future. A great spot for them. You are in nature and have total peace but with the security of knowing April is right there if needed and hiking and stores are close by if you need them. Highly recommend this spot.

Weekend Trip to SnugLife Camping

Jody and Keith’s site was beautiful. The stove in the tent kept it cozy throughout the autumn night. They provided a garden cart to transport our things which was helpful. The air mattress was as comfortable as an air mattress can be. Jody and Keith recommended that we bring lights, since we were arriving after sunset, but we foolishly overestimated the power of our phone flashlights. So definitely bring a few lanterns. I would definitely stay again. It was beautiful by the river.

Cutest little cabin nestled in a well loved place. The area built out for camping was so lovely and everything in the cabin was well thought out. We were unfortunately there during a burn ban but there was a lovely propane fire we were able to use and it was perfect. Listening to the creek while drinking my morning coffee was so so perfect.

We loved our stay at Emerald Green Cabin. We have stayed at many off-the-grid cabins, and this was one of our favorites. Very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the ease of the kitchen set-up with the propane stove. The woodstove kept us plenty warm during the cold nights. Apart from some of the places we've stayed, you could notice the care and thought put into the design, build, and furnishment of the cabin. The path down to the river was fun and well-marked, though the water level was a little low due to the drought...as we expected. Lisa was an excellent host, responsive without being intrusive. We highly recommend the Emerald Green Cabin.

beautiful, restful, only bring what u can carry down a bumpy, rocky, hilly half mile, bring water, wood, lights. my dog and i were very content. the heater wood stove was hard to figure out, glad it wasn't colder. the latrine situation was also confusing. i was not prepared to pack out my trash, sadly. I'll be better prepared when we come again, maybe for a few days next time. The tent, bed, platform, site were clean, comfy and inviting. would still be comfy w more people. the full moon on the brook at night was intoxicating ♡ thanks for letting me reserve so late and last minute!! k n maya

3 nights at Suncook River Camp

We rented a Jayco camper that made our stay easy and more comfortable. It was right on the river- we enjoyed waking up and watching the ducks go by. We spent a ton of time outside, grilling, having fires and spending time/ laughing with friends. Lots of things locally to do as well. We went apple picking and to the local fair! We got some time kayaking in the river too which was peaceful. It was a nice, quiet getaway, and the owners are lovely people. Be prepared with all your own camping gear. Though the camper was very comfortable, we were lucky we had everything we needed. You will need all your own kitchen gear: a grill, pots/pans, plates, mixing bowls, etc. We would def come back, especially since it's only 1.15hr from home. Thanks for a nice stay.

Weekend Trip to Suncook River Camp

We loved the Suncook River Camp and staying in the blue Avalon vintage camper. The camper was perfect with its vintage charm and comfortable bed. The site on the Suncook River was great. Our 7yo daughter loved the clean pool, the outdoor movie night, and fishing/canoeing/tubing in the river all weekend. We caught some nice yellow perch on nightcrawlers. The campground was large enough to have amazing amenities (Hot tubs and sauna opening soon) but not overcrowded. The hosts were very responsive to requests such as firewood orders. Great trip overall!

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet among the trees and creek. The site had lots of seating around the fire pit, a table for cooking and card games, and a nice walking loop to stretch your legs between relaxing activities. We would love to return!

My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing time in the Pink Lark camper at Suncook River Campground! It was the cutest little get away, and the staff were so nice and helpful with anything we needed. We will definitely be returning to try out some of the vintage campers, buses, and dome tents!

Weekend Trip to Pine Brook Retreat

What a perfectly wonderful, private, peaceful site surrounded almost completely by the shade of tall pines and maple trees with a nearby babbling brook. Nothing fancy, simplicity is exactly what I was looking for and I wasn’t disappointed. True camping feel without dealing with a tent! The A frame is super cozy and the two comfy air mattresses were clean and made up with fresh sheets, spreads and extra blankets. Thoughtful touches included bug spray, small lantern, games, percolator (and mini coffee pouches), twinkling lights and other basic essentials such as mugs, plates, pan, axe, oven mitts. The fire pit was already set up with kindling plus a large bin full of assorted sizes of wood close by. Fresh water was always available and refilled at my request but I honestly never even had to ask. :) The rechargeable fan was a lifesaver as it was extremely hot and humid during my stay. It was perhaps my favorite camping “luxury” of all! April is an awesome host, very responsive to your needs. I loved her way of making me feel alone, yet not. Communication and instructions were easy, and she brought a lot of my stuff up from the camp to my car with her ATV. Another lifesaver! I’m on the older side, my body is nothing what it used to be and her help was IMMENSELY APPRECIATED. This was my very first experience with Hipcamp and I am extremely happy with my stay. Will definitely be booking again!
