It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. THOMAS POND Thomas Pond is a beautiful 533-acre freshwater with miles of shoreline. Thomas Pond’s maximum depth is 64 feet, and the mean depth is 22 feet. Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. As our guest staying at The Queen's Property, you will also have free access to the Watkins Shores Road Association's boat launch. The boat launch is just a two or three minute walk down the road from your site. Our new dock is available to dock your boat during the day.. However, there is a small fee to dock your boat overnight (see "Extras") at our site. Just make sure you check for Milfoil or any other invasive plants before launching. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS NEAR CAMP Within 5 minutes of camp, you will find all the essentials, including food items, ice, firewood, goodies, gas, and RV supplies. In fact, you can even order your groceries online for pickup, (free at Hannaford Brothers Grocery and Walmart) either on your way to your campsite or when you need to resupply your camp (we would be happy to give you the details). During your stay, you may also want to take a trip off-site to explore all that the Lakes Region offers. Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Naples sits smack-dab in the middle of the Sebago Lakes Region. Sebago Lake abuts its western border and Long Lake abuts its eastern border. A short 8-minute drive from your site, Naples spoils its visitors with boat rentals, waterfront shops, and awesome restaurants. Further north is the Town of Bridgton. Bridgton is a 20-minute drive from your campsite. It offers its visitors a quaint downtown filled with local retailers, pubs, and restaurants. Enjoy the beaches of Bridgton’s Crystal Lake which sits on the edge of its downtown borders. NEARBY STATE PARKS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES If your idea of exploring is centered around outdoor activities, then Sebago Lake State Park is a 1,342-acre park that abuts the shores of Sebago Lake. Within the park, you will enjoy protected forests, bike paths, and Sebago Lake beaches. Sebago Lake is a deep glacial lake, and by itself is 44 square miles of clear waters that abut Sebago Lake State Park. Nearby places you will like: We are within walking distance to downtown restaurants and public swimming area on Long Lake. There's also porto potties next to the walkable country store, which has everything you forgot to bring. Also a great ice cream shack, and an above-average watering hole, The Olde Mill Tavern. We are happy to help you with your gear and have a couple of wheelbarrows and sometimes an ATV. So unless you want to RV/truck/car camp at the trailhead (definitely an option), it is tent-only camping on the lakeshore and garden sites. Please don't ask if you can drive your vehicle right down to the site---we don't even drive our own down. However you decide to arrive, we are happy to guide you at no extra charge. We do have cellular phone service on site and shoreline but NOT on the logging road in. [There is unfortunately no way for us to make the property accessible for guests who need the use of personal mobility equipment. Prior to being a dairy farm consisting of over 500 acres, the property served as a tavern, inn, tannery, and has always been a traditional, well-loved farmhouse. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any. 2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience. WELCOME BACK for 2026... 2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. Many kinds of trails all around. In Maine’s finest hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking and boating territory. A perfect place for adventure, romance, celebration or serenity. An escape from the electronic world! But there is good cell/data service too. The cabin has solar and battery lights but no power or generator. Hand water pump in the kitchen during spring/summer/fall. 6 gallons of wash water provided in the winter. Spacious outhouse, solar shower, etc. (See Winter Conditions below). Glamping at its finest! This is a cozy place with led lights & solar lights, candles, gas cook range, gas refrigerator, wood stove, a dug well with hand-pump in the kitchen (pump can not be used when the temperature is below freezing) and a log cabin outhouse. King bed in bedroom; twin bunk beds and queen pull-out futon couch in great room Fully outfitted with dishes, utensils, pots,/pans, linens/blankets/pillows, books, games, oil lanterns, camp/bag shower and more. Firewood is included in the rental price. Propane, paper towels, toilet paper and dish soap are also provided. All Wheel Drive or 4WD is needed to access the cabin in winter and mud season. WINTER CONDITIONS (when ground is frozen): -4-wheel drive or All Wheel Drive needed. -There is NO running water from the well pump when the ground is frozen. The sink can be used with a bucket underneath. Frank is a really nice guy and has a beautiful property. His land is tucked away deep in the woods down a dirt road. His house is on the property, but he’s got a really large lot of land with beautiful views of nearby mountains. I stayed on his property in winter, and he was super accommodating, he plowed for me, helped me pick out the best spot that would be shielded from the wind, and even provided me with an extension cord for power and some wood. I’ll definitely be back. He’s got amazing views and a very private feeling property. He even offered that I could stay in his finished lower level if I got too cold. Cool property and it’s really close to Mt Pisgah where I was doing some hikes.

I arrived at this site with high expectations, and it certainly delivered. You have your own designated pitch right next to the electrical hookup and picnic table. It comes with wifi, which is awesome. You have this whole hillside to yourself. My dog and I absolutely loved hanging around the fire and looking out over Thompson Lake below. I will definitely be back to this Hipcamp site.

The land was stunning and provided awesome views of the stars at night; the stream made for great ambient sound, all around great area! Sean was super friendly and we even got to meet the goats! Short drive away from Norway and Bethel, would defintiely recommened if you're looking for a weekend getaway trip.

This was an amazing getaway. The cabin had everything you could need. Craig and his family were really hospitable. Always kept great communication. The cabin is insulated and kept us warm throughout the night. Craig gave us extra blankets and was kind enough to set up the hot water shower for us. The instructions to get there were pretty exact. The location is amazing. 15 minutes to Franconia Notch. Quick 5 minute drive to downtown Littleton. Lots of options to eat there and Bethelem. (Try the skirt steak at El Mirador Restaurant or the Thai Donuts at Taste the Thai). A power generator is available in the cabin for charging your stuff as well.

Beautiful, quiet and serene. Great getaway. The driveway is a beast. Tent camping is on level ish gravel. There’s a bucket for an “outhouse” set up. She provides fresh water. I purchased wood from her and it had been raining, so it was wet. Just make sure you have plenty of resources for wet wood if it’s been raining. My dog had a blast
