Omg, the alpacas. Loved the fuzzy hosts so much. This is a beautiful spot, and would repeat. Word of warning: if you’re coming through in spring, be careful with the grassy field. We got stuck in the mud and were only able to get out after airing down tires. Host was helpful on resolving, and quick to support.

We had a series of unfortunate events, so we did not get to stay overnight. But! We were able to come by in the morning and we were greeting with so much hospitality. The spot is beautiful and the alpacas are sweet and adorable! We truly could feel the magic of the place with just a few hours spent there. We can’t wait to return and actually stay overnight!

Stayed a few nights with my wife, adult son and his girlfriend. Very private, easy to find, very well appointed and well maintained. Dirt road was kinda a bummer after winter, but doable. A little tight backing my 30’ trailer in, but we managed. Will likely stay again!

We had such a lovely experience staying at the alpaca ranch. We loved spending time with the animals. They were so cute!! Stacey was very friendly and helped us get set up with a heater to stay warm in the intense wind.

Weekend Trip to The Reimer Pack Yurt

A perfect spot for a romantic snowy weekend! The woodfire stove kept us warm during a snowstorm, and the location was perfect for ski slope access and wandering the snowy woods. Jesika was thoughtful and communicative throughout our stay, clearing a parking spot pre-arrival and keeping the wood stove stocked. Great space for a quick getaway! I live in Reno and had a friend visit from California. Between us for this trip we didn’t have much trunk room but both love camping. Stacey had all of the essentials so all we had to bring was sleeping bags and food! Definitely would recommend for friends. There was a fire ring and we were allowed to have a camp fire with wood they provided! Perfect for winter camping!

Stacey was such an accommodating host. This was a unique and fun experience. The alpacas were fabulous and very friendly and curious, even with our doggos. Beautiful piece of land, perfect place to get away from the city and experience farm life. The glamping tent was great, we opted for a propane heater, which kept us nice and toasty for the night. We hope to return in the summer!

It’s the place you forget about the everyday stress and immerse yourself in nature. Of course let’s not forget the highlight of the stay, being among the alpacas. We woke up and they were grazing around the camp. They were not shy and so curious they come right up to you. Everyone on the farm was so helpful and welcoming. Our pup also had an amazing time here.

Our family had the perfect Christmas getaway at this cozy yurt. It comfortably slept the four of us, with plenty of room to relax and for the kids to play. The wood furnace kept us warm and toasty even as we were surround by a winter wonderland. The towering snowy trees and sparkling icicles made for a truly breathtaking white Christmas. We loved the peace and freedom to explore the beautiful grounds. It was a quiet, majestic retreat—perfect for reconnecting with nature. The walk to the yurt was close but a workout due to the snow. Sleds were provided to help carry our belongings, which was very helpful. However, we found we overpacked and could have brought less knowing we could dry clothes by the fire- which I would definitely recommend. The kitchen was well-stocked with an oven, stove, and refrigerator, making meal prep easy and enjoyable. For families, we suggest bringing disposable plates and cups since washing dishes in the small foot-pump sink can be tricky with a larger group. For couples or solo travelers, the provided dishware is more than sufficient. Our kids (ages 4 and 10) had a blast exploring and playing in the snow. They both called it the best vacation ever! Jesika was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend this yurt for a peaceful and unique getaway. We’re already planning to return in the spring or summer to see it in a different season!

Sugarpine Slopes at Grouse Ridge

It is on this property that I saw my first grouse. Also look for warblers-notably Audubon's and the Hermit Warblers- along with the White-headed Woodpecker. You will likely hear a Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see one Learn more about this land: Welcome to Sugarpine Slopes. The Sugarpine has the longest cones in the world and many birds and mammals like the pine nuts and use the tree for habitat. This is a spring through fall place only. There is no winter access. The property is at 5800 feet. Depending on the weather the road may close from Nov 15th to May 15th. The road on the property is a dirt road. All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles recommended although the lower section could be accessed by most vehicles. Shorter trailers allowed at Site A. Site 3 can also accommodate a small teardrop-style trailer The property is totally undeveloped at this time. It is a wildlife corridor for deer and bear (keep all food contained), the mountain quail and the blue grouse. Keep your eyes open for the Hermit Warbler, Audubon's Warbler, and our gorgeous visitor from the tropics the Western Tanager. You are likely to hear the Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see it and its red crest in an undulating flight through the trees. The property has a lovely west facing slope which climbs gradually at first then more steeply to the top of the property. We have drive-in camping on the lower section. There is one walk-in site at the top of the property. There is wonderful hiking nearby with several trailheads in the area within approximately 4 miles. More information can be provided upon request.

Our Escape

There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

Cute little cabin nestled in Tahoe National forest . This little gem is on an acre of land surrounded by national forest land. Close enough to Lake Tahoe to get to but also away from the Tahoe chaos. Host lives on property , but will most likely be out and about most of the day. There are two neighbors but both own 20 acres so you can not see them, feels very private. The front of the property where the cabin is located there will be some highway noise being close to highway 20 , especially during a busy weekend. you can’t hear highway noise while in the cabin and towards the back of the land. However it is nice to be so close to highway 20 because it leads to several different destinations. ( west : Nevada city. east: towards Tahoe, and both directions there are soo many lakes/ rivers ) Tiny house: •Full sized futon downstairs and king sized mattress in loft. Electric fireplace, all the game boards , cards, chess, fire pit, projector for movies if requested!!! •Additional guests are welcome to pitch a tent on the land if needed. •Hot plate, toaster oven, mini fridge, kitchen appliances, coffee (French press, drip, mocha pot). Black stone grill outside. Fire pit , check if fires are allowed during booking •Separate bathroom with compost toilet or a short walk to outhouse. Outdoor shower in the making, message if available. FUN: •Lake Spaulding is about 1/4 mile hike down from the property. There is a boat launch and plenty of room to park it on the property if you want to bring a boat. Also have two paddle boards you are welcome to use. The photos, has been a consistent request. But they didn't know better? We appreciate the questions and ideas for camping explorations based on ancient foundational practices of peace, relaxation and group/self-dependency to bear and enjoy the elements at the high Sierra altitude of 7000 feet, and musical instruments are highly encouraged. There are many outdoorsy things to do in the area. Make some campfire time to find out more. Small campfires are encouraged to help maintain a healthy forest. Get Your Campfire Permit! PLEASE SEND EMAIL PHOTO OF SAID PERMIT. (they didn't do it) Our history includes guiding mentors who don't know much, but are wise, and are available when located Our foundations are Multi-Culturally Inspired.
