The Schellraiser music fest offers a variety of seasonal camping options at our 80-acre private campground in the cool high desert of Eastern Nevada's Steptoe Valley, near the small town of McGill.
Our Lotus Belle-brand bell tents are solar powered and fully furnished, with king, queen and twin beds; organic Avocado-brand mattresses; rugs; loveseats; floor lamps; charging ports and wi-fi service.
Car-camping and pitch-your-own-tent sites without power are also available.
Our campground features several tiny homes; we've converted the biggest one into our clubhouse that is now open to all guests from Thursday through Sunday nights. The clubhouse has a small kitchen area for cooking simple meals.
We're also gearing up to reopen our coffee bar on weekends in late spring 2025; our menu features hot and cold espresso drinks, organic teas and organic chocolate bars.
A heated six-unit restroom/shower trailer is on site.

I excellent spot! Clean! Private and love the porta potty. Some road noise because of 50 but nothing crazy. It was nice to have easy access to spot to set for a night while traveling. This is def on the list for future road trips.

It was wonderful camping. close enough to civilization that I didn't have to worry if I forgot something, but far enough away that it was quiet all weekend - unless you don't like the sound of coyotes singing, and dark enough to sit out, watch the sunset, and enjoy a nice pour of Weller C.Y.P.B.. My trailer is 22 feet, so I would pull in, and still unhook, giving me a great view of the mountains.
Some weekends, I just need to get away from the house and all the stuff, and I will certainly look for this spot.

This place is so great! The location is a little adventure and the area is quiet and so chill. My friend and I enjoyed our stay and slept with our tent open. Coming from the Joshua Tree desert, we get a lot of critters... not here. Besides a super friendly chipmunk, don't think it was Chippy but he was a fun little buddy to watch as he explored our space.

Weekend Trip to Vegas Glamping
What can I say to express how wonderful Vegas Glamping is??? Our stay was the absolute best of the best!!! We came to Nevada from North Carolina and wanted to stay at our new home away from home instead of going onto Las Vegas!
The night sky was extraordinary with the most was beautiful view! Our tent was cozy, clean, and the bed so comfy…perfect! We loved grilling every meal on the fire pit…eggs, bacon, asparagus, steak, grilled cheese, and s’mores. We went “ATVing”, with Evalina’s husband as our guide, which was a blast. The scenery was amazing. It almost felt like we were in a picture book. Evalina made sure everything was perfect. She is a beautiful woman, inside and out!

We stayed here while visiting Vegas, and it worked out great! The spot is a driveway, but Stephanie was super kind and let us use an exterior plug, which made our stay much more comfortable. It’s a quiet little tucked-away corner of Vegas, and the drive to the Strip was reasonable. It’s semi-private since it’s just the front driveway, but overall it was peaceful. This spot did the job perfectly as a last minute option for our stay.

I had a good experience for three nights on this property because of it’s seclusion, cleanliness, level ground which drains well during heavy rain and its availability of a private porta-john, picnic table and two Adirondack chairs, small table and a grill. Great for stargazing and a short drive to the Great Basin National Park.

Kym’s Starry Skies campsite is a great place to stay. I went there on the recommendation of a friend and it didn’t disappoint. It is quiet, well equipped, and private. It was a perfect place for bringing my anxious dog. If someone is looking for a camping experience that doesn’t involve crowded campgrounds, this is the perfect spot.

I really enjoyed my stay. I was lucky enough to have the whole place to myself. The Tent Campers section, and the Yurts(?) is away from the RV Campers Section. I liked that. You can see Traffic(and Life) rolling by on hwy 93. It's far away. And the Lights of McGill and Ely. I do plan on a return visit.

Very nice and quiet land! The very warm inside the cocoon thing. The restrooms were very clean and nice, as well as the shower! The road in from HWY 93 was a little bumpy with some bigger rocks but got by just fine with my Corolla. There is a nice spot with a stove and fridge for everyone to use as well as a hammock-stand if you want to hang your hammock! If not cooking, closest restaurants are in Ely, about 20mins away.

Solid camp in the middle of the high plains. The road in is a little bumpy but the whole camp is really well graded and the showers/bath were very nice. The host was really nice and greeted me and escorted me to a bunch of site options. Great place for a mid trip stay over.

We loved camping on Kym's land. About 20 minutes from Great Basin National Park. Nice amenities including a port-a-potty, charcoal bbq, tent pad, picnic table, trash cans, and some extra chairs. Very quiet. Host has other listings on the land but they are a fair distance from the campsite. Little to no cell signal. You will need to pack in water.

Northern Nevada
Nevada's northernmost stretch is characterized by Wild West nostalgia and quiet communities, many heavily influenced by the descendants of the Basque immigrants who settled the region in the 19th century. The western part is home to both the Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge and the Black Rock Desert, where Burning Man is held every year. Continue further east and you'll find yourself in the remote Ruby Mountains, an amazing place to hike, camp, and birdwatch.
North-Central Nevada
This quiet swathe of Nevada has some of the best outdoor attractions in the state, from the Lehman Caves system in Great Basin National Park to the massive sand dunes appropriately known as Sand Mountain. If you really want to get a feel for the region, take a long drive down desolate Highway 50, which follows the old Pony Express route. Drive far enough west and you'll end up in Lake Tahoe, offering year-round recreation and easy access to the largest alpine lake on the continent.
Central Nevada
Vast central Nevada offers a mix of quirky roadside attractions and rocky scenery. Cathedral Gorge State Park is particularly fantastic, with otherworldly caves, towering hoodoos, and more than its fair share of jackrabbits. Fans of the supernatural won't want to miss a trip along the so-called Extraterrestrial Highway, which passes Area 51 along with all sorts of UFO-themed oddities.
Southern Nevada
Although Las Vegas is southern Nevada's undisputed star, there's plenty to see and do in the region beyond Sin City, from immersing yourself in Wild West history at the Pioneer Saloon in Jean to learning about the history of hydroelectric energy at the massive Hoover Dam. If you want to take a hike, head to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, where you'll find over 30 miles of red sandstone-flanked trails.
