Antelope Run Ranch
4 sites · RVs, Tents41 acres · Valmy, NVAntelope Run Ranch is 40+ acres, the Property has currently a total of four sites. One Cabin...not open for rent yet...building a composting outhouse / shower room. Three camp sites which are all operational. with improvements made monthly. The property has an old dry river bed running through the center, and this is a work in progress. There is a water system coming soon on site (potable), bring your own water for now ... but your business will need to be taken out for now until other accommodations are acquired. This area is a gateway to the adventurer spirit...whether it's rock hounding, hiking, hunting or simply mixing it up in the sand...Antelope Run Ranch has got your ticket. Enjoy the openness of the Pumpernickel valley. Any vehicle welcome as long as it's a 4x4. Sand is soft, so hopefully you're bringing your sand toys. So much to explore in the valley, enjoy the clear skies both day and night, bring the sunblock for the days, and firewood and some warm blankets for the night. The Humboldt River can be reached by UTV, ATV, or whatever other mode of desert running you have, both to the South and the West of the property. Mountains are in every direction, but in the immediate area, it’s all about the exploring. If you’ve forgotten something, just know East on I-80 is the city of Battle Mountain. So bring your explorer spirit and get away from it all. There is a small "hunting" cabin A01 (paused while upgrades are made) on the Northeast corner of the property which can sleep two. There is a small wood burner inside, a sky light ... nothing special...has been used primarily as a base camp for hunting the area. On the Southwest corner, there is a picnic table, bench, firepit and BBQ for kicking back... site B01. It's located next door to 1,292 acres of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land on the west side of the property, but the entire valley is loaded with BLM land. Only dirt roads once you pass the power plant (roughly six miles away from the property), so plan accordingly if you're planning on bringing out the trailers...camping or toy, maybe even the horse trailer, just be aware, there is soft soft sand everywhere. Once you're booked, and you get the coordinates, get set for a true "Get Away". Enjoy the isolation and the clear night skies... Pumpernickel valley is a true getaway, located roughly between Battle Mountain and Winnemucca Nevada, north of the I-80. I am working on marking and mapping out a few separate routes once you take a cut off exit of the interstate. I've just added (May 22 2023) a Solar Cellular Security camera on the NorthEast corner, looking due SouthWest, roughly 300' behind Cabin A01. So once you're booked, either I can look directly at the property to see how the area looks or I'll give you access to check it out yourself. I've planted the first tree of many, well baby twig for now. I'm working on potable water for guests and for watering trees until they are established. So come set up your tent, RV, camper trailer, overland rig or stay in a cabin for a couple extra bucks. Be aware...this is High Desert, and along with the crazy temperature swing that can happen between day and night, always be aware of "nature"...there are always wild things...snakes, scorpions, coyotes and anything else that wanders the land. Rockin' N Ranch Buena Vista Valley
4 sites · RVs, Tents80 acres · Unionville, NVOnce located in the mountains of California, the medicine horse project was often in danger of wildfires on the 6 acre ranch which threaten the lives of our rescued horses. It was November 2018 we found this 80 acre property, unlike the hundreds we looked at, this one had a taste of the Wild West, settlers, Signs of ocean presence, shells, fossils. It was a chilly December week 2018 we came to see what it would be like to live here in the winter. We stayed a week in a aluminum horse trailer waking up to amazing sunrises, making awful coffee over a fire. Making an evening campfire to cook, bbq and making cocktails sitting on logs. I gathered all the geographical data I could to build what is now 120,000 sq ft horse rescue facility completley off grid accept with minimal generator help to run well pumps. Why Hipcamp? We loved the breathtaking scenery that almost doesn't look real with frosted tip of mountains, the smell of with sage in the cool breeze. We carved out our camp sites in the very same spot we stayed in the horse trailer to share that experience with others!
