Though this is a new listing on Hipcamp, I've been hosting on another platform since 2017 with consistently stellar reviews. I’ve decided to switch to Hipcamp because it seems like a better fit for my low key, rustic offerings. My one acre property is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded mostly by uninhabited lots. There are two wall tent listings, and the kitchen and bathroom facilities are communal. I also live on property with my two dogs. Daisy is a pit mix and Frodo is a Pyrenees/Anatolian mix livestock guardian dog. They are friendly and like to hang out in my fenced backyard. Frodo does bark at night to ward off bears and other unwanted visitors. There is also a train nearby that runs all hours of the night. If you're looking for lodging in Coram, you're going to hear the train. For these reasons, earplugs are provided. In addition to hosting Hipcampers, I'm a host on Workaway, and so there may be workstay volunteers on property as well during your stay. If so they also use the bathroom facilities but they share my outdoor kitchen with me. I'm in the process of developing the property into a permaculture homestead, expanding my garden, and doing more natural building projects. If you share these interests be sure to let me know!

Good Creek Meadows

2. Good Creek Meadows

24mi from Kalispell · 2 sites
Our 2 cabins and one campsite are located in a small clearing surrounded by a forest of tall trees, next to Good Creek and expansive meadows on a 350 acre property which you are free to explore. Located roughly halfway between Kalispell and Eureka, we’re an hour’s drive from Glacier Park. There are many lakes and trails off the beaten path that are closer. Ten Lakes Scenic Area is 60 miles to the north. Good Creek Meadows is off grid and cell service is spotty - a great place to relax and enjoy nature. No shower, but a toilet (water flushing compost system) and camp kitchen are available for two cabins and one campsite to share. The sites are generously spaced and feel private. Each cabin has a hammock, deck, and cafe table and chairs. There is also a shared picnic table and campfire ring to use when conditions are safe. We’re happy to advise on ways to take advantage of the many outdoor recreation opportunities in the area, as well as how to explore the property without getting lost:)

This property is close to town and amenities but it doesn't fee like it! Rolling hills and tall pine and fir trees hem you in leaving an open view to Flathead Lake. There is an old log cabin, a new beautiful bathhouse, and a full-hook-up RV pad with stellar views. Peaceful, private location with easy access to Polson and Highway 35.

Rocky Top Retreat - Off Grid Cabin

5. Rocky Top Retreat - Off Grid Cabin

45mi from Kalispell · 1 site
This cabin sits on 60 acres of private land with many opportunities for wilderness activities with nearby lakes, streams, and small town attractions. The cabin is powered by solar energy with a back up generator that is very rarely needed. It is secluded from neighbors and remote, but has the comforts of home and even fiber optic wi-fi (if desired, since you are trying to get away, right?) ;)
