Hike peaceful trails, exploring the wooded hills until you find the perfect spot for your tent. If you select a spot near the clearing, you will have access to the picnic table and fire circle. Spend your days mountain biking, hiking, fishing and watching wildlife on a private ranch in the Ozark Mountains, less than a quarter mile from the Mark Twain National Forest. Less than five miles from Indian Trail State Forest (Indian Trail Conservation Area) with beautiful Blackwell Lake. Canoeing and kayaking are less than an hour away (Meramec River, Current River and Jacks Fork River), as well as trout fishing at scenic Meramec Spring Park or Montauk State Park. 1855 Campground is 45 acres of private property, dedicated to the natural Ozark experience. We border the Mark Twain National Forest, enjoy the outdoors at its best. Our space offers 7 large campsites to provide privacy & serenity.
Site 1, Little Brushy Creek with parking.
Site 2, Nancy’s Landing, smaller site close to the creek with parking.
Site 3 Bills Hill, located high up in the woods.
Sites 4 & 5 Walnut Grove, large flat grassy sites in a meadow with wildflowers.
Site 6 Hidden Hollow, located in a private cove.
Site 7 Roberts Mountain located high up in the woods.
Sites 3-4-5-6-7 are remote wooded campsites. Accessible by foot only & upon request a free shuttle of your camping gear. MUST arrive before 8pm when booking these remote sites.

Camp at our beautiful private swimming hole at the edge of Joachim Creek. Our campsite includes a community picnic table, hammocks along the tree line and a huge communal fire pit. We have four individual camp sites in total, each with their own fire ring. Bring your fishing poles, water shoes and camp chairs!
We are a working farm that grows produce, raises dairy goats, pasture raised pigs, peacocks, chickens and more! And while you may hear a rooster crow in the morning, you'll be tucked away from the hustle and bustle of farm life.
NEW THIS YEAR: We have a farm store that is stocked with seasonal produce, meat (frozen), eggs and other value added products as well as camping incidentals in case you forgot anything while you were packing! Farm store is not located at the swimming hole, but is located at the main farm.

When we got to the property, Michelle offered us the camp site with a covered shelter which was amazing since we ended up getting lots of rain. We were able to have our cookware & a tiny fire underneath the shelter & could stay out of the rain. It was my son’s first time camping & he loved how close the creek was - all he wanted to do was fish. He also loved the big open space at our site. It was perfect for playing baseball, frisbee & football. So, despite the storms & cold weather, we ended up having a really great weekend.

I texted my brother: I think I found a hidden gem after arriving. Baby goats. A burro. Friendly hosts. Hiking trails. Rocks. Camping on a ridge. Community kitchen. And the best shower I took on a two week camping trip.

I loved my time at Hawks Bluff Campground. I chose to camp further away from the main home and enjoyed ample privacy, firewood, and endless incredible sights. Definitely prepare yourself for ticks. If you stay at the sunset view campsite head down the slope straight from parking and you'll find a magical rock to take in the full valley.
Follow the main trail down to the creek and enjoy the wildlife, fauna, and peace. I didn't use the kitchen facility onsite, but did enjoy a private hot shower that completely revived me after my hike.

This place is Awesome! If you’re into camping 5 yards from the river then this is the place for you. We camped here on Easter weekend so we had the entire place to ourselves. Harless was a great host and went out of his way to make sure we were safe and comfortable. There was a 3.5” rain in the middle the night and he was right there the next morning to warn us about the river rising and made sure we were safe. We ended up hooking up and leaving for the day to have lunch and antiquing and returned after the river went down to finish out the weekend. He even offered to refund our $ for the inconvenience! That’s one thing we love about booking through Hipcamp; you meet some of the nicest people and the camps are usually superior than any State Park or Forestry campground. We will be returning to this one.

Had a great time at the Sir Quincey yurt! Susan was very kind and supplied us with fire wood, cooking supplies, good water and other camping treats. The horses pigs, cats and goats were roaming around the meadow area and came to say hi to our camp, they are either shy or friendly. I braided a mane. This camp is within a half hour of awesome hiking tails, Meremec river/cavern and other cool caves.
