If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes or Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry wood in a storage rack. My feeling on how well the heater will work in cold weather is you are probably good until the temp is in the lower teen. if interested you could bring a larger heater to help with heating. I do no plan to plow the driveway if it snows so keep that in mind if you see a storm forecast. I will block out dates after the first significant snowfall.

When you arrive, we will take you and your gear back to your private campsite. No vehicles are allowed past the parking area to keep the wildlife happy. Once settled, put your feet up and relax, or better yet, head out for some well-deserved fun, then come back and relax in your own private campsite. Nature Retreats MN has two very secluded and peaceful bird watching areas and a wildlife viewing area where you have your own private blind to wait for whatever may come in! A birder and nature lover's paradise located on the banks of the Trade River. Spend the weekend in a 30 foot, eco-friendly, rehabbed vintage Mallard Trailer. Rebuilt using many recycled materials, electrified with solar panels and decorated with creative flare, you are certain to enjoy your stay in- and outside of the Sandhill Sleeper. Inside, you will find room for up to 4 people to sleep (one double bed and table nook converts to bed), a kitchenette with water and a two-burner propane stove top. Weekend Trip to Alpha and Omega Pizza Farm

We booked a late Fall trip to the farm and it exceeded all expectations. The farm setting was beautiful and charming. It was a great spot to hang out. We arrived in the late afternoon after hiking. One extras we added was dinner, so a little more than and hour after arriving and getting settled in, a crock of steaming hot beef stew and fresh bread was delivered tent side. We also added the Sauna/Cold Plunge package, so a couple hours after dinner we put on our suits and wandered over the wood-fired sauna. Talk about perfect. A few steamy rounds later and final plunge, we dried off and headed back to the tent to settle in front of the campfire. It was all really perfect. The tent was cozy and toasty warm with the stove. They've set up the experience so you have everything you need to have a great time. We're scheming to come back with friends, family or both!

I loved camping in Dan's yurt campsite! The walk from the car is perfect, just long enough to feel like you are really out there camping! The views walking to the bathroom in the fall were just gorgeous! Speaking of the bathroom don't be scared off by the composting toilet. Dan provides plenty of woodchips/sawdust to cover everything up and there is no odor! The bbq grill and bonfire ring are great to have options. The picnic table seats plenty of people. It rained a bit while we were there and everything in the tent stayed dry thanks to the extra plastic Dan has placed over the top of the yurt. Dan is so kind and generous and feels like going over to a friend's house to camp. Can't wait to return next year!

We enjoyed a great "quick getaway" (from Minneapolis) at this sweet property. Tucked in the woods, a 3 minute walk to the river, this was super relaxing. Hiking at St Croix State Park, s'mores, reading & games... Couldn't ask for a better mini-break. Thanks for the hospitality!

We loved the property and amenities! My husband isn’t much of a camping or outdoors kind of guy but he had a great time here! The cabin was clean and had all kitchen cookware needed when we were stuck inside due to rain. We had a fire every day we were there and cozied up by the fireplace inside when it rained. The stars out there were truly breathtaking! The location is out of the way of noise but not so out of the way from civilization with the nearby town 25 mins away. Dave and Tracy really thought about everything needed to accommodate your stay.

Weekend Trip to The Jubilee Homestead

My grandkids; ages 8 and 10 and I visited wonderful farm this past weekend for a one nite getaway. We all loved the experience! The kids rollerbladed in the barn, played with the cats and loved seeing the goats and chickens! Our glampung tent was perfect; comfortable bed and fun vibe. We definitely will be back next year!
