A short trail (400 feet or a little over a football field) leads through the forest to the Snake River, where you’ll find a second fire pit with chairs, solar lighting, and a private dock that is share with just our cabin and then campsite. If you are tenting, you can tent at the river but do not drive on the trail except for atvs. The river is great for fishing, swimming, canoeing, or kayaking, and can accommodate small boats. Multiple public boat landings are located up and down the river for easy access.
The property lines are outlined in the overview picture. Please do not go to the west of the trail to provide ample space for privacy with our neighbors. The red on the map is the camping area with electricity and outhouse. Our personal log cabin is the blue dot but there is a significant tree line in between. If we are there, we are happy to give you a tour. The blue line is the trail. The white area is our property on the river and available for tent only or to hang out for the day if you choose to camp up top. The purple area is where the goats are busy eating. Come and visit them!
While the site does not have running water, you’ll be camping right next to our family cabin, and we’re happy to help with anything you might need. We also have friendly goats on the property that guests are welcome to visit!
There’s also plenty to explore nearby. Just minutes away, Braham offers a quirky “hole-in-the-wall” bowling alley and some charming local shops. Head north to Pine City for more options, including restaurants, a larger grocery store, and additional shopping. History buffs will enjoy visiting the Snake River Trading Post, a Minnesota historical site. And if you’re in the mood for a local treat, Sapsucker Farms is a nearby cidery open on weekends, often hosting live music, food trucks, and hiking trails. Great quiet location, Wildlife and the sound of the country. You will have the only camp site on the property. You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or sleeping bag for the twin bed in the loft, or the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of a small electric heater, or A/C if needed, a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 8 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes or Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry wood in a storage rack. My feeling on how well the heater will work in cold weather is you are probably good until the temp is in the lower teen. if interested you could bring a larger heater to help with heating. I do no plan to plow the driveway if it snows so keep that in mind if you see a storm forecast. I will block out dates after the first significant snowfall.

The farm is next to Kinnickinnic State Park where you will find miles of hiking and biking trails. The State Park is located on the pristine St Croix and Kinnickinnic Rivers and has public beach access and fantastic trout fishing locations. The Kinni is also known for fantastic kayaking.
Our farm also includes walking trails for the use of our guests and their pets. Especially near dusk, you are likely to see many deer, turkeys, rabbits and pheasants.
The sunsets are gorgeous at the farm and on cloudless nights the stars in our dark sky are amazing. This is the perfect place for a peaceful get away with loads of outdoor activities available just down the road.
Additionally, the farm is equidistant from the towns of Prescott and River Falls, WI- about 10 minutes to either. Prescott is near the confluence of the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers and has several restaurants with both great food and water views. River Falls is on the Kinni River and has excellent food options as well as 3 breweries, a distillery and two wineries nearby.
This is a working farm. We are happy to welcome you onto our land and would love to show you around. Informal tours showcasing our organic and regenerative growing methods are available as time permits. We also offer 20% discounts on organic produce to our guests. Great quiet location, Wildlife and the sound of the country. You will have the only camp site on the property. You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or sleeping bag for the twin bed in the loft, or the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of a small electric heater, or A/C if needed, a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 8 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes or Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry wood in a storage rack. My feeling on how well the heater will work in cold weather is you are probably good until the temp is in the lower teen. if interested you could bring a larger heater to help with heating. I do no plan to plow the driveway if it snows so keep that in mind if you see a storm forecast. I will block out dates after the first significant snowfall.

Kinni Croix Farms is a four-season regenerative farm. We grow vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, and Christmas trees and greenery using no-till and organic methods. The farm is 78 acres and has 3 spots for self-contained RVs. All three sites are leveled, mulched and include 50 amp hook ups.
The farm is next to Kinnickinnic State Park where you will find miles of hiking and biking trails. The State Park is located on the pristine St Croix and Kinnickinnic Rivers and has public beach access and fantastic trout fishing locations. The Kinni is also known for fantastic kayaking.
Our farm also includes walking trails for the use of our guests and their pets. Especially near dusk, you are likely to see many deer, turkeys, rabbits and pheasants.
The sunsets are gorgeous at the farm and on cloudless nights the stars in our dark sky are amazing. This is the perfect place for a peaceful get away with loads of outdoor activities available just down the road.
Additionally, the farm is equidistant from the towns of Prescott and River Falls, WI- about 10 minutes to either. Prescott is near the confluence of the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers and has several restaurants with both great food and water views. River Falls is on the Kinni River and has excellent food options as well as 3 breweries, a distillery and two wineries nearby.
This is a working farm. We are happy to welcome you onto our land and would love to show you around. Informal tours showcasing our organic and regenerative growing methods are available as time permits. We also offer 20% discounts on organic produce to our guests. 40 acre farm. 3 horses with a large pasture that has trees and a pond. A wooded area across the road. Old trucks and tractors for pictures and the old farm feel, and lots of wildlife.
There are miles of gravel roads to walk, bike, and ATV through the county. Dozens of lakes within a couple miles that offer great fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming.
a few miles from town with shopping, bars, and restaurants. 2 bars and a gas station within 2 miles. Cute cafe just down the road, and a mile from the Pine City rodeo grounds.
Tenters can camp almost anywhere on the property and be as secluded as you like. Parking for campers/RVs is near the house only, and there is limited water and power access.

Such a beautiful location, we felt so secluded! We saw deer, an eagle and a little downy woodpecker gave us a show on a tree just outside the screened in porch which was a favorite spot for our morning coffee and to listen to the rain. So peaceful .
The water crossing was indeed a challenge with glacier cold water I decided to take a wrong step on a slippery rock and do a face plant in the cold water!
With pretty much only my pride hurt (and a video my hubby happened to be taking of me at the time) it definitely made a memorable trip!
We would definitely come back! And I were not to step now! ;)

We loved "glamping" here! The cabin was adorable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect...secluded, yet so close to several gorgeous hiking spots. The stargazing was incredible. Our pups (one of whom is scared of other dogs and people) were so happy to have the seclusion. It was the perfect spot to spend our days hiking, and our nights being cozy in the cabin!

Great little spot for a solo getaway just my dog and I. Love the proximity to Sherburne Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. Enjoyed various hikes there and the nature drive twice. The cabin was cozy and we enjoyed the shelter as there were intermittent showers. The porch overhang is nice to enjoy a quiet rain while staying dry. Loved having the mini fridge and microwave too. Just enough creature comforts yet simple and relaxed. Thanks for sharing your space Troy! Hope to be back next spring or fall!

We had a fun time at the Shady Hideaway site! My husband and I, unfortunately, had a rainstorm roll in the first day of our weekend trip, but we still had a lovely time just relaxing in the tent and listening to the rain. The site is very private and a great location to relax and enjoy a weekend out of the cities. We also got to see some super cute goats down the path!

Loved our stay. It was a great escape for all of us. The what we assume is a dry creek was fun to wonder up as well as the paths I do warn that if you have a lower car you will have to park at the top of the hill and walk everything down to the site but its worth it.

Lazy River campsite was a beautiful location for our family to camp! It was only an hour from the metro area but felt like we were much further out and was very private. There was plenty of space for multiple tents right along the river with a nice fire pit area, kayak and canoe, hammock, and picnic table. It would have been tricky moving all our gear to and from our car to the river area but the hosts were so helpful and assisted us with their 4-wheeler. There was an option to camp right next to the vehicles but we wanted to be next to the water. Outhouse was clean and stocked. Would definitely recommend!
