I have a menagerie of animals, many rescued or adopted, that love all the attention. About this space The "Kick Back Tiny Shack" has a queen size bed, small futon bed (for a child) along with two single camp cots. This tiny house can sleep up to four people (2-3 most comfortably) depending on your needs. There is a mini fridge with mini freezer along with a mini gas range/oven, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. There is a TV with only local channels available. Wi-Fi is available at nearby restaurants. AT&T works well here; all others are very sketchy. The cabin has a freestanding gas fireplace to keep you cozy and warm. Come prepared to relax. This is a rustic cabin with all amenities so no need to pack up dishes, bedding, towels, etc. (bring sleeping bag and pillow for anything other than the queen size bed.) The kitchen is fully stocked with your basic cooking and dining essentials. If you don't want to do dishes you are welcome to bring your own paper plates, etc. Coffee, Salt, pepper, dish soap and hand soap, toilet paper and one roll of paper towels provided. There is no running water, but you will be supplied with an electric pump faucet with 10 gallons of water for the kitchen sink for doing dishes, etc. There is also a pump faucet for the outhouse sink. You can heat water on the stove with the pot supplied. In addition, 1 gallon of drinking water will be supplied also. There is a heated outhouse next to the cabin which has a shower stall in which you can shower with an electric pump shower, 120 gallons of water and on demand water heater. Towels are provided and if you need more water, you can contact us, and we can refill at our home which is located next door. Please allow notice in case we are not home at the time. The contact information will be provided with your booking confirmation. You have your own private yard on our 6 acres with a BBQ pit in the summer months, firepit and grill off of the back deck year-round. If you chose to bring a four-wheeler, canoe, boat or snowmobile there is plenty of parking space depending on the quantity. Snowmobiles & side by sides are available for rent 3 miles up the road from the cabin. Come and unwind or explore the many wonders that the Northwoods has to offer! The interior of the cabin is newly refinished. The exterior will be improved as time goes by.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The host is wonderful and the location is incredible. We enjoyed the trails and keeping warm by the log cabin. Our dogs also had a blast. We would definitely come back.

Spot was a little smaller than initially expected but, made it work with my 30' TT. Jared was very sweet, communicative & accommodating. Even discussed winter options & it was nice to know I had them. Occasionally heard a car or two go by & once in a while, you can hear the train, otherwise very tranquil & peaceful. Driveway could use some leveling but my Pontiac took the punishment like a champ. Spot was level enough that I didn't need to do anything to level my camper. Would recommend.

This place was great for an overnight stay. I enjoyed the fire and the deepwoods experience. It is a few mins from a main road so not much traffic. I could hear the waterfowl on the nearby lake and would occasionally hear some of the neighbors dogs off in the distance. The land looked very lumpy on first inspection, but I found a place for my tent without a problem. There was extra firewood for purchase on site and plenty of deadwood you can pick up (not cut). I stayed in mid Oct. so the mosquitoes weren't bad. Follow the gps coordinates to a great no-thrills camp in the deep woods.

This is our 2nd time camping at their property. This time we decided to camp at a different site and it was perfect! Love the privacy and like always, Patty and Dan were the perfect host! They even started our fire for us since we got there pretty late. We invited them to hang out with us Saturday night while we had the bonfire going. We will definitely be going back again in the spring and fall next year! Totally recommend their campsites!

A nice and spacious campsite! It was great going there and having the leaves fall! It definitely made our group love fall even more. We definitely would come back again, and again! Tons of firewood to keep you warm, you do have to purchase the bundles, otherwise, lots of fallen wood that you can use!

This place was a top 3 camping experience, anywhere. Let me break it down: Spacious campsite in deep woods, a maze of a trail system for hikes, they set us up with a large container of drinking water, outhouse was premium, they even dropped off fresh vegetables and eggs for us to eat. Unreal host commitment. 9.5 / 10 will go back and camp there. Great base for adventures on the Iron Range.
