Fall is quickly arriving! We are a small, 15 acre property, that's located within one hour from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Our farm has wooded trails, bonfire pits, with amazing sunrises and sunsets. It is quiet and very peaceful. Our little town is 10 minutes from most shopping, with multiple restaurants minutes away. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! Our farm also includes walking trails for the use of our guests and their pets. Especially near dusk, you are likely to see many deer, turkeys, rabbits and pheasants.
The sunsets are gorgeous at the farm and on cloudless nights the stars in our dark sky are amazing. This is the perfect place for a peaceful get away with loads of outdoor activities available just down the road.
Additionally, the farm is equidistant from the towns of Prescott and River Falls, WI- about 10 minutes to either. Prescott is near the confluence of the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers and has several restaurants with both great food and water views. River Falls is on the Kinni River and has excellent food options as well as 3 breweries, a distillery and two wineries nearby.
This is a working farm. We are happy to welcome you onto our land and would love to show you around. Informal tours showcasing our organic and regenerative growing methods are available as time permits. We also offer 20% discounts on organic produce to our guests. However, while it feels a world away, we’re actually quite close to some of our favorite Minnesota spots.
We’re just 15 minutes from the Cannon River bike trail and great spots for kayaking or canoeing, and Nerstrand Big Woods State Park is a short 20-minute drive away for hiking. The historic downtowns of Cannon Falls and Northfield are both nearby, offering fantastic breweries, antiques, boutiques, vintage shops, bookstores, wineries, restaurants, and more. We are also an easy 45-minute drive from both the Twin Cities and Rochester.

Kinni Croix Farms is a four-season regenerative farm. We grow vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, and Christmas trees and greenery using no-till and organic methods. The farm is 78 acres and has 3 spots for self-contained RVs. All three sites are leveled, mulched and include 50 amp hook ups.
The farm is next to Kinnickinnic State Park where you will find miles of hiking and biking trails. The State Park is located on the pristine St Croix and Kinnickinnic Rivers and has public beach access and fantastic trout fishing locations. The Kinni is also known for fantastic kayaking.
Our farm also includes walking trails for the use of our guests and their pets. Especially near dusk, you are likely to see many deer, turkeys, rabbits and pheasants.
The sunsets are gorgeous at the farm and on cloudless nights the stars in our dark sky are amazing. This is the perfect place for a peaceful get away with loads of outdoor activities available just down the road.
Additionally, the farm is equidistant from the towns of Prescott and River Falls, WI- about 10 minutes to either. Prescott is near the confluence of the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers and has several restaurants with both great food and water views. River Falls is on the Kinni River and has excellent food options as well as 3 breweries, a distillery and two wineries nearby.
This is a working farm. We are happy to welcome you onto our land and would love to show you around. Informal tours showcasing our organic and regenerative growing methods are available as time permits. We also offer 20% discounts on organic produce to our guests. After twenty years of living in the heart of the city, we traded our pavement for 14 acres among the rolling hills of the beautiful Cannon Valley region of Southeast MN. Crowded Table Farm is the realization of a long-held dream: a place where we can grow good food, restore the land, and—most importantly—share it with others. Our farm is a patchwork of vegetable beds, fruit trees, a budding native prairie, and quiet woods.
Life on the Farm:
Depending on when you visit, you might see us out in the fields planting, weeding, harvesting, or tooling around on our small tractor. You’ll definitely hear the ducks chatting and the roosters announcing the day, but beyond that, it’s pretty darn quiet here. We are actively restoring a native prairie to provide a home for pollinators and butterflies, and we steward our wooded spaces, working to support a healthy forest ecosystem.
The End of the Road:
If you’re looking to get off the beaten path, you’ve found it! Our farm sits at the end of a dead-end road, with four miles of gravel between you and the nearest paved highway. Because of that, our nights are truly dark, and the stars are incredibly bright. It’s the kind of place where you can take a deep breath and actually hear yourself think. However, while it feels a world away, we’re actually quite close to some of our favorite Minnesota spots.
We’re just 15 minutes from the Cannon River bike trail and great spots for kayaking or canoeing, and Nerstrand Big Woods State Park is a short 20-minute drive away for hiking. The historic downtowns of Cannon Falls and Northfield are both nearby, offering fantastic breweries, antiques, boutiques, vintage shops, bookstores, wineries, restaurants, and more. We are also an easy 45-minute drive from both the Twin Cities and Rochester.

At Crowded Table Farm, we believe in a "purposeful surplus." We run a small CSA, sell at a nearby farmers market, and grow extra produce specifically to donate to our local food bank. As advertised! An easy 10 min to downtown Stillwater. Nice, big open lot with plenty of space for our camper (26ft tag a long) and 2 tents as well as 2 dogs to run and do dog things. Hosts are extremely accomidating with all the requests that we made. Would definately camp with them again.

Wonderful Hosts- When we arrived at our site we had a gift (you have to visit to find out what it was). Beautiful set up. We had long days as it was a working trip and we slept so soundly. Our first time utilizing Hip Camp. It was a flawless. Thank you and hope to stay next year as we are coming back to area for our work. FYI we had 3 working dogs with us and can say it is a dogs' heaven.

We had a fun time at the Shady Hideaway site! My husband and I, unfortunately, had a rainstorm roll in the first day of our weekend trip, but we still had a lovely time just relaxing in the tent and listening to the rain. The site is very private and a great location to relax and enjoy a weekend out of the cities. We also got to see some super cute goats down the path!

This year we upgraded to a Class C Motorhome and George had site 1A which was perfect !
We hung out under the awning during the evening rain and watched the fire.
