Learn more about this land: Welcome to Constellation Farmstead. We are a multi-faceted agritourism destination combining farming, homesteading and leisure. We are located in a quaint and quiet area of the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We currently have camping space available both for tents and camping with an RV. For animals we currently have 3 pigs, 12 chickens, a handful of ducks and 8 of the softest rabbits you will ever meet. We also have a husky named Lakota who is always on leash with us as well as 2 cats, one of which spends much of his time outside. Our hiking trails are open, and markers are being added. You are welcome to hike through our property on your own or we are always happy to join. Our disc golf course will be open with t pads and baskets once the ground is firm enough to get everything set up! In the years to come, our beautiful barn will become a venue for weddings as well as a suite and rentable rooms where you can stay. We’ll also be continuing to grow our family farm, orchard and of course our growing array of animals for you to visit. For guests we also have a community fire pit in our yard and host fires most nights that we have guests. We also have a sauna that we heat up many nights so feel to let us know if these things interest you.

We are conveniently located between Calumet and McLain State Park as well as adjacent the Swedetown Recreation Area (our property touches Swedetown's boundary and the M203 trailhead is just down the road). Using us as a basecamp, everything the Keweenaw has to offer is easily within reach. Important details regarding our sites: Sites 1 - 3 are for tenting groups. Snowmobile and ATV trail #3 is just a short cruise down Donken-Tapiola Road. Furry friends are always welcome and are able to be off leash! Turtle Pond Site has an approx. 12x30 foot level gravel pad and a fire pit on a small pond frequented by turtles, ducks, deer, birds, and even an occasional beaver. There is a 100 year old Finnish Homestead a short walk down a mowed trail. Guests are encouraged to take a look, but please don't enter the buildings as their integrity is unknown. We strive to continue to improve our property every year. This year, we are working to improve the pond health and its borders. An updated photo is included in our listing; but you may notice small differences as the property settles back after being disrupted during this improvement. Great place, had it to my self most of the week. Good location for exploring the Keweenaw. Nice views. Sites 1-3 are on a pound. Each site has an increasing view of the pound as you go from 1 to 3. 2 and 3 are walk in sites, I was in 1. Evan is a great host.

Really neat property. Evan met us when we arrived and rode a utv to where we needed to park. The cows chased us as we went passed their fence, because every animal loves my girlfriend, probably because they thought Evan was going to feed them. 🤣 The site are well designed. 3 had a great view of the good sized pond he has on his property. The location is ideal for people that are interested in rock hunting. 30 minutes from gratiot park. 10 minutes from Calumet waterworks park. 10 minutes from McClain state park.

We loved camping on Evan's land! His land is private and tucked back by a lake. We were greeted by a wild turkey when we arrived at our campsite which was really cool. Campsites were set up really nice with a fire ring and picnic table. He also has an out house and running water from a well for guests. Tent sites have plenty of room but parking might be an issue depending on site. We really enjoyed our stay!

10/10 would stay here again! It was a gorgeous, spacious site. The location was great (my friends and I were able to explore up to Copper Harbor and down to Houghton with ease), the site itself was very clean and private, and the small touches were so thoughtful (fire making supplies and cooking utensils). Our only regret was not carving out enough time in our plans to explore the farm/trails and get to know the owners!

Site #4 was amazing. Away from everything, quiet, clean and beautiful. Evan was an excellent host super helpful and hospitable. We were thankful to find such an excellent property and host to stay with. We heard wolves, coyotes, and owls. The night sky was amazing. We'll definitely return. We had an F250 and a 11ft trailer and had no issues whatsoever navigating the campsite.

Another awesome stay with AJ and Maddie. Nice level area to park van, we were only ones there. Nice to see all the progress from hard work over last 3 years. Folks should understand this is a working farm, so watch where you step! Sauna was awesome - slept really well afterwards! See you again for the three-peat! Didn't play, but they also have a killer disc golf course.

This is a beautiful piece of property and our site was perfect in every way! We stayed at site 4 with our Off Grid Trailer for 4 nights. The site was spacious , very secluded and private and even though we had a a fair amount of rain one night it drained extremely well. Loved the two and cows in the pasture next to our site and to our surprise there was even some apple trees on our site that were in season that we were allowed to indulge in! Thanks Evan! The outhouse that is available for guests to use was very clean. The hosts were polite, courteous and respected our privacy during our stay. Thanks Evan for being a great host and we will definitely book this location again if we are ever back in Michigan!

Evan's place was perfect. Beautiful property, amazing view of Lake Superior, kind and accommodating host, and very close to our new favorite bakery. We never knew food could taste so good until trying Ramona's; thanks to Evan's recommendation. We have been craving it since!
