Our site is quiet and spacious and can easily accommodate a big rig with a tow vehicle, if needed. There is easy access for backing in. The campsite is located on our Centennial Farm, surrounded by farmland and a large yard. A fire pit with firewood is provided if you let us know in advance. Dow Gardens and the nearby Canopy Walk are just a short drive away.

This was a great experience. Before we arrived our host (Kim) made contact with us, letting us know they looked forward to our arrival and added little things we needed to know. When we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and help getting our rig on site. (Took a little work & removal of mailbox). Nice level site. View was beautiful. Fire pit, grill, boat, fire wood, fire started logs. All provided!!! These are great host with an awesome location.

Kim and her husband were great! The site is very quiet and private. Great for bird watching as well. If you need anything, they are happy to help. We were able to dock our bass boat easily on their dock and the community boat ramp was close by, just down the canal. We'll likely return if we're back to that area of Michigan.

We adored this site. The view was beautiful, it was peaceful and quiet, right on the river but looking out onto Lake Huron. At first, I wasn't crazy about being nestled between two houses, but you know what? It's more spread out than a state park campground and we camp at those often and it's RIGHT on the river. I so appreciate the hosts installing electric and everything here to share their little slice of heaven. They were so sweet to us and our son. I hope to come back again this camping season. The awesome private deck offered great fishing and we enjoyed watching everyone going out to the big lake on their boats. They provided chairs and firewood (actual good firewood, too, perfectly dry) which was so nice. We even woke up to a knock on the door with delicious homemade blueberry muffins.

What a great deal! Robert was supremely conscientious, meeting us the first night for a very late check in, and setting us up with the solo stove. When it snowed he promptly kept the way out well cleared. Spot was quiet and calm, in a well treed nook towards the back of the property. For a traveler there’s not much better. I felt safe and that my needs were considered. A very pleasant experience. I’m sure I’ll be back next time I’m in town!

We loved camping at Kim’s! It was colder than we expected, but we still had a wonderful time. Staying here was a delight. Kim & Gordon were pleasant, helpful, kind, & considerate. We had the best time just sitting and watching the sunset on the dock overlooking the river and Saginaw Bay. We saw a ton of wildlife & even duck hunters would wave at us and talk to us from their boats. We will definitely be back.

What a view! We spent so much time watching the Terns diving into the river for fish, herons flew directly over the site, tons of swallows... and the sunsets - WOW! Great spot for fishing (we didn't catch anything but I think that's user error and nothing to do with the location. Haha). This was a great base camp for relaxing and checking out local sites - we recommend looking up the historic Octagon Barn if you like agricultural history, and Tri City Brewing for good beer. Bay Shore Bar and Grill, 5 minutes from camp, is also great for when you don't feel like cooking! One word of warning - we have a 25 ft travel trailer (with hitch and bumper it's closer to 30) and a Ford f-250. We drove straight down to the end of the road and thought we could back in from there. Getting backed in that way was TOUGH. A "fifty point turn" if you will. Thankfully, Kim and her husband were home and super helpful, letting us drive through their yard to maneuver better. Pulling out was no problem. In hindsight, we would have backed down the road and backed into the site that way. Sometime to consider if your set up is our size or bigger. As hosts, they were so kind! A bundle of starter fire wood, and kept in contact during the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back if we're over this way again!
