A 2-acre field set up with sun shade sails and cooled by evening breezes, with picnic tables and fire pits available. A larger central fire pit is provided for group parties or reunions. Tent campsites are nearby under the trees for added privacy. This site can be used as a starting point to tour all three sides of the Thumb, as it is centrally located. Porta-potties, and trash pickup are available.I have a 4.5 acre country location for campers to use as a home base while touring the festivities of the Thumb of Michigan.. During the spring there are the migration of spring birds, an awry of wild flowers, hiking in our state lands, wild mushrooms, wildlife and fishing in the great lakes. The Summer brings wild blueberry picking, hiking trails, festivals, music, swimming, boating and nights around the campfire... The Fall comes alight with the fall colors that will rival any colors from the northern areas, and hunting. The property is situated near the local Amish Community that offers a great glimpse into their lives thru their gardens, stores, and bakeries. The pictures I have listed were taken in the fall so foliage was at its lowest point.. Tent sites are situated along the western edge of the property or within the area with the main campers to the southern area.. Fire ring and picnic tables available.. Portapotty, cold water taps and trash receptacles' are near by.. A host gift of 1st campfire with every campsite. Life on the homestead includes chickens, ducks, rabbits and turkeys..imagine waking up to crowing roosters and fresh eggs for breakfast... I also have fresh produce and or you can pick your veggies from one of my greenhouses or wander thru the strawberry and blackberry patch to nibble on fresh berries...or pick sun ripened peaches off the peach trees in the orchard... then in the late summer and fall their are different types of apples to be picked right from the trees.
