Truly one of the best glamping experiences! My husband and I visited Bois Blanc Island for the first time with our two dogs and stayed for two nights. From start to finish, Jess was an incredibly communicative and thoughtful host, making everything easy and welcoming. The yurt was such a unique experience, tranquil, cozy, and the perfect place to unplug and relax. The communal kitchen space is also thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our first night, we fell asleep listening to the sound of waves as our yurt is right by the beach. Mornings were just as special- sipping coffee by the water, watching the island slowly wake up around us. We loved how immersed in nature we felt the entire time. We saw deer wandering through the area and woke up to the charming sound of woodpeckers enthusiastically pecking away on something metal nearby. It was such a memorable experience that perfectly captured the peaceful, off-grid charm of island life. If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy escape with beautiful surroundings and a host who truly cares, this is an incredible place to stay. We can’t wait to come back!
