Outhouse on site, newly planted fruit trees on site, very rustic, serene, beautiful, access to the Milky Way, and meteoroid showers. One mile from launch into South Arm of Lake Charlevoix, and less than 0.5 mile to Jordan River Rogers Road access. Beautiful and peaceful area. Located in Lake Charlevoix Watershed Area. Visit some of the local beautiful farms such as Friske's, Lavendar Hill, local farmers markers, and vineyards! There is a casino located in Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan as well as Mackinaw, and are a short drive away! Take a jump off the breakwall, or visit the newest bridge at Boyne Mountain Resort, just a stone's throw away! Relax in peace, the woods, and enjoy a little slice of heaven. There is no electricity, running water, or trash services. Please pack in, pack out. Please do not leave discarded or broken beer or alcohol bottles on property. There are over 30 fruit trees on site, from Black Pearl and Bing Cherries, Apricots, Peach trees, Honeycrisp apples trees etc, 250 sunflower seeds were also planted this season. This is a very delicate area near a local watershed source, Deer Creek, wetlands on property, and also fruit tree farm in it's early stages, organic strawberries, and organic raspberries growing as well. The glamping tent is located in an existing campground at the Pine River Paddlesports Center. The campground itself is on 26 acres - the sites are all hedged around on 3 sites with woods and are generously spaced out from one another. It is a clean and quiet campground - you shouldn't be able to hear your neighbors, and they shouldn't be able to hear you. The tent does have electricity - there is one power strip that is enough to power a fan (provided in the tent!), and to charge phones. There is a queen-sized bed, but please bring your own bedding. Inside the tent is also a 'coffee nook' - complete with a one-burner propane stove, tea kettle, pour-over coffee system, and water pitcher. Potable water is available at the tent site (there is a water spigot outside). Outside of the tent there is a fire pit with an adjustable grate for cooking, a picnic table, and a locking trash can that we change daily for you. On site, there is a beautiful 1/4 mile deer trail walk through the National Forest that leads to a great overlook of the Pine River. Also on site is a frisbee golf course that is free to campers. Also located on site is the Paddlesports Center where we rent canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and rafts for paddling the Pine River.

We loved camping at Rick’s! The cabin was well stocked with spices, flashlights, cozy and nice bedding. Rick resupied firewood for us and pointed out the trails to explore. The view from the cabin porch was beautiful with lots of colorful trees. The firepit was huge and we used the grates to cook over the fire. We’re coming back next summer!

Rick's place was such a gift. There were so many signs of thoughtfulness and insight into his prepared mind. Not only was the cabin equipped w/ basics but he also offers extras such as raincoats, hammocks, and what not. The property is well cared for, he has beautifully growing plants on the front porch The outhouse was actually nice, well stocked, and it was clean! The cabin too, was very clean, cleanest tiny cabin in woods I've seen yet! I like how he designed and decorated the cabin, it felt much bigger than it was. The framed bear art was so enjoyable to look at, each time I'd find something I hadn't before. It was like a mix between a Hieronymus Bosch piece and a teddy bears picnic! I highly recommend, he's a really nice easy going guy, pleasant to communicate with.

My husband and I had an amazing time. We were welcomed by the hosts who showed us around and had recommendations of restaurants and things to do in the area! They were constantly checking in, making sure we had a great time. The place was clean, quiet, and cozy. It is a great experience for those who enjoy camping but want a cozy bed to sleep in at night. The hosts also made sure we had fire wood each day and cleaned the outhouse every day. Would highly recommend this prosperity, we will be back!

2 nights at Ricky’s Pine River hunt/camp

Rick's cabin is so beautiful! He really has built a little slice of heaven in the woods. We had so much fun talking to him and meeting his sweet dog! We loved relaxing on the covered deck watching the fire below dance in the stoic stone firepit. Our son rode his bike and explored all around the trails on Rick's land, we hiked them too. Lots of nature to observe and the smells of the woods were delightful. This cabin was just what we were looking for in a quick family getaway! Rick has a large table for the kitchen counter setup with propane stoves, utensils, and a large glass water jug with an electric pump! The beds on the bunk were really comfortable, and the wood stove was so nice in the early mornings to warm the cabin up. The small dining table was perfect for taking it easy, drinking coffee and gazing out the window at the diverse trees. Rick also has a battery powered fan, and shop vac which were such nice things to have! He provided the firewood for both the outdoor pit and the small wood stove inside. The cabin is also a few miles from Yoder's of Tustin for some groceries, supplies, lots of baked treats and deli items including sandwiches. We drove to see the Pine River and the scenery around the area. Rick is a wonderful host! We will be back!! Thank you, Rick!!

We had a girls weekend, and it was hands down the perfect fit. We aren't the city type of women even though we live and work in cities... Rick and Jack were absolutely amazing hosts. The cabin had literally everything that we needed. We just had to show up with food and clothes. Keep in mind there is no refrigerator. Lol it's off grid. The beds were super comfortable. We just kept the clean bedding on and placed our stuff over top. We moved things around to for our stay( yes we cleaned up and put it all back, as you should lol). Even the outhouse was very clean and stocked. The amount of trails and things you could find to do on the land were pretty awesome. we wound up getting lost...so make sure you figure out your bearings before you leave.google maps and common sense helped Lol. He has plenty of lights/ flashlights to use... To stove kept us warm (filling a water pan and keeping it on top helped a lot with the humidity/allergies) Really.. The only thing that we would recommend is maybe putting some lights leading to the outhouse. He kept us well stocked on firewood, we even got to watch him drop a tree for us. Lol the night is BLACK. But the sounds are amazing! We can't wait to be able to go back. Hubby and I will be returning for a romantic getaway too! Btw JACK is the softest and sweetest dog ever! Can't wait to see him again! Connie and Dave are great hosts with a quiet getaway. The A-frame was comfortable and clean, with nature and the creek a very short distance away. Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves nature looking to be in the Torch Lake area

Weekend Trip to C & A Adventure

We had an absolute blast, the camp was super cute. Chad and Amiee were super easy to communicate with and gave good driving instructions as you will lose all cell service, (which was great). We would highly recommend their place!

2 nights at C & A Adventure

My best friend and I took a much-needed girl's trip to C&A in August. Aimee's communication and directions were extremely thorough, and amenities were better than a hotel. We packed as if we were going camping, but quickly realized we way overpacked, as Aimee had thought of everything. Chad and Aimee are lovely humans and gave us our space but still made communication easily accessible when there were any questions. We loved our campsite and enjoyed soaking up the scenery, hammocks, and firepit. The bathhouse was fully equipped with toiletries, a mini fridge, a large sink, snacks, tea, and coffee maker. Cell service was spotty, but texts still came and went eventually. The geography of this part of Michigan is absolutely beautiful, and we will keep C&A in mind for future adventures.
