Weekend Trip to Sugar Shack Disc Golf Campground

This site was perfect for our needs and made for a fun weekend away from home! Our favorite parts: • Toilet and sink available • Ample space for several large tents • Shady trees that keep the site feeling cooler on hot days and dryer on rainy ones • The close proximity to civilization, while still feeling peaceful and private • Unlimited disc golf on a private course • A large supply of firewood provided • Great and thoughtful hosts! We will absolutely be back!

2 nights at Duck Lake Wooded RV Retreat

This is a very nice lot with electric sewage and water. Front yard has many trees and a fire pit. Duck Lake and dock directly across road for easy access. We were there for only 2 nights and didn’t bring kayaks but next time for sure!! Hostess Jennifer very accommodating and it was a peaceful and quiet stay.

2 nights at Tucked - Away Cabin

This a great place! It is obvious that great skill and care went into building the cabin itself and what an excellent site it is on! If you have been looking for a cabin that is not right next to the owner's house or right on a blacktop road, this is the place for you! The tucked away cabin is back down a windy little dirt road through the woods and is truly surrounded by nature. A great bike trail along the Grand River is literally 5 minutes away. Perfect secluded glamping experience with everything you need including a Solo Stove fire pit that is the most efficient way to burn wood I have ever seen. I will definitely be back to this special place.

Easy to find even though it is far off the beaten path. (Or is it an old well worn path) Great fire pit with lots of seating to watch the meadow and wetlands. Very quiet, but some light pollution from the east. Great for a telescope still. Primitive digs, so pack it in pack it out. Thanks for having me!

Absolutely beautiful spot! Molly and Kevin have done a wonderful job. Our only wish is we would have stayed longer. Outdoor shower AND fire warmed tub! Also a toilet, power and a wonderful fire pit! Hammock that’s super peaceful and a great little pond. It’s quiet and secluded yet 25 min or less from anything you need. They were excellent communicators and great hosts.

Weekend Trip to Camp Clear Sky

The lighted woods trails were enchanting. They are soft and the property has gentle hills. Wildflowers were bloomed. It was peaceful and quiet for sleeping. I knew about the rooster so was prepared for morning. Host John was kind and generous and is a fan of good music. The atmosphere was relaxing. I didn’t use the shower so can’t speak on that. I appreciate that there were parks nearby. I stopped at one on my way out of town to see the river. I’m a van camper so I was parked by the bathroom and kitchen.. If you tent camp and carry into the trails to a spot you’d be away from those accommodations yet have more privacy.

Wonderful campsite, very peaceful land. Pamela is quick to respond, helpful, and non-intrusive . Our campsite was spacious with a nice fire ring, stumps, a hammock, a picnic table, and a little string of lovely little solar powered lights at night. There were other campers at nearby sites, but there are many trees and plants and enough distance between the sites to feel secluded and private. Nice walkable mowed paths. Bathroom is super cute and comfortable. Shooting range nearby was poppin off for a few hours but settled down by night and it didn’t bother us any. Thanks for a really great night away in a beautiful place.

we had a great time on pamela’s property! the camp site was cozy and tucked away so we had plenty of privacy. we had everything we needed and we were even able to buy fresh eggs to cook over the fire which was a great touch! would definitely recommend :)

We loved camping here! The quiet, private spot was just perfect for a night under the stars after we enjoyed cooking over a fire and relaxing. We had everything we needed, including a spacious toilet area.

Weekend Trip to The Jolly Treehouse

In an area with a lot to do, hikes, downtown Chelsea. The treehouse was clean and comfortable with many thoughtful amenities. Outhouse was clean and odor free. Do not have little kids, but would be an amazing place to bring children, so much for them to do. Host was very available, kind, I had a restorative girls weekend around the campfire!

We enjoyed camping on Julie's land. The walk in site is nicely tucked in and very private. The property has clear signs for all camping spots. We appreciated also received a message in advance informing us that there was no more firewood for sale for that day. We prepared accordingly and had a nice camping trip.

Nice place with great view of the stars. Secluded and definitely feel "out in nature". A bit of a hike to the sites but they provide a wagon. Firewood delivered to the site is a nice touch. Outhouse is nice and clean.

Molly is an incredible host. It was an absolute pleasure meeting her and her family. The property is breathtaking and the amenities offered make camping very enjoyable. We will certainly miss our breakfast with Kevin (the cool cat) and the sound of all the wildlife. We highly recommend walking the trails and adding fresh eggs! Can’t wait to go back.

My black lab Luke or cat Mojo will likely visit your site to say hello and are super chill. 2 disc golf Black Hole Pro baskets on site to practice with. Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented. Cabins ARE SMOKE FREE and may not be used as kennels so please keep pets off furnature and don't leave them inside when you are gone. You must bring your own queen sheet set. Steam cleaning the mattress will be an extra charge. Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away. Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac) Woods site and Open Area have a few different locations you can choose from. If woods or open shows booked already, please contact me. Additional fee of $20 per extra tent/camper that sleeps an adult. Picnic shelter is also available. Use my website to RSVP entire camp area for an event such as wedding.

We are a small bio-dynamic farm situated on 10 acres in West Michigan. the land has small diverse eco-systems. Open meadows with large White pine to dense woods to the back of the property. We have a small diverse fiber herd of Jacob sheep and Nigora Goats along with some heritage Breed chickens including 1 Rooster who watches over the flock. A small group of Cayuga duck work their pest control magic as the snoodle around the entire property. These ducks go everywhere! There are also 2 barn cats, that might visit your camp site if you are traveling without dogs. we also host group of 24 Bee Hives. On the farm we grow a variety of veggies, flowers and Medicinals. We have plots of native woodland medicinals and a variety of other Perennials and Medicinals including Hemp and Cannabis on a very small scale. Everything is grown organically. Wildlife is on the move. Grass is greening. It's fabulous & appreciated. We are excited to share Our Place with new & returning guests. Glad to be able to offer our slice of heaven to you! ***For the preservation of our property, our septic system, the privacy of other campers, all arrivals MUST be prior to dark setting in. If you can't see the signs & posts, you can damage our property AND your vehicle/equipment. Please see the site rules for current max time for check-in. (With changing daylight hours, this time limit will change throughout the season.) *The property has a lot of wildlife; Deer, Turkey, Rabbits, Coyote, Birds, & Fox. *A small creek runs across the back of the property. *There are many lakes just minutes away, as well as the Huron river for fishing & kayaking. *Public beaches at Lake Chemung & Bishop Lake. *Campfires allowed. Plenty of dead wood around, or you can purchase firewood bundles onsite. *Potable water is available to fill water tanks & containers. The land was originally bought to be a hippy community- but sadly people grew up and moved on, leaving my father as the lone survivor of the property. My husband and I have recently purchased the land from him and want to make it into something beautiful- a new community of sorts. We are excited for you to come and camp on our property! We have lots of fun things planned for the property and will be making improvements as we go! Thank you for being apart of the journey. Learn more about this land: Our little slice of heaven is nestled back off the country road- with over 30 acres, we have a couple of old horse pastures and barns, a beautiful grassy area that has a large fire pit and a natural pond. Some wood is provided for your initial fire; more can be purchased from us for $5 per bundle. We have basic electricity, a country swing, a dock if you would like to fish- we also have nice grassy walking paths and a wooded area as well. Our land is very peaceful and safe. The perfect space to unplug and unwind and to recharge yourself. While we do only consider our space one site, it is large enough for groups as big as 30 ppl, with plenty of room to set up tents in your desired areas. Campers and trailers are welcome, with limited size requirements and space; we also restrict where they can be parked. We are very close to several rivers in the area, so bring your kayaks, or inner tubes and float down the rivers for a peaceful afternoon. We’re not too far from Lake Michigan (easy day trip), Kalamazoo or Lansing, Several breweries in the area- (Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Marshall) as well as a casino (Marshall). We are in a very nice happy medium to a lot of Michigan favorite spots. Come and enjoy the quiet country- and get some amazing star lit skies. Ask about our “glamping” set up, for an additional fee We can accommodate large groups, or family gatherings. Large groups (over 10) must add on an additional portable toilet to their stay (seasonal only) We have an open air shower (see photos) that is cold water- but can be hot on sunny days. We also have a sink area. Well trained- recall ready pets are welcomed- please pick up after your pet. We do have free range ducks that use the pond- who should be respected. Leashes are required for all dogs who are dangerous to our animals. *We are now accepting winter rentals, winter campers should prep for the cold winter weather and should have 4w drive capability’s. Some add ons including portable toilet are not available during winter months. Please confirm rentals or add ins before booking. We do a meet and greet with our guests and will show you to the space; go over any information that we need to with you, and then we try and leave you to the space so you can experience it for yourself and enjoy your time. We are proud to be a certified pollinator sanctuary, and do not spray our property for insects. Visit our seasonal farm stand for fresh produce, eggs, and some beautiful flowers and herbs. Serendipitously, as we were looking for a farm homestead to move to, we reconnected with the owners of the land, and they were just deciding to sell it. My family was able to buy back the family land and continue the legacy. -------- Onwards ---- Kathryn and I are restarted our cut-flower farm and hoping to develop a permaculture inspired orchard and keep chickens and pigs. We love living here surrounded by extensive state and county parks and recreation land, while still being close enough to Chelsea and Ann Arbor for all that they provide. We have about 40 acres and trails through the area for exploring. You just may come across some "forts" constructed by some of our grandchildren. There is a large fire pit and plenty of firewood for a minimal cost. (Trash can full. ) If you listen in the evening, you are likely able to hear a couple of owls talking back and forth. Usually you can see some deer and maybe some turkeys. There are many old pines around the property, the last remnants of our Christmas tree farm. There is no electricity in the cabin, but we do have two solar lights and some battery lights. If it's been rainy, the solar won't work as well. We have cornhole game available upon request and some table games kept in cabin. If you want to go biking, there is a trail in town, about 5 miles away.

Swimming is not prohibited, but is at your own risk. Several fields are available as well as a small and large tent site along the river. Campers may park in the field. We are located along the North Country Trail and only a few blocks from their office as well as walking distance from the Kent county youth fairgrounds There is several restaurants and breweries walking distance away, joined by a social district as well as several cannabis stores. A dollar store and ice cream shop are 2-3 blocks away. And a country style breakfast restaurant is next door. Have a fire or go fishing down by the river, or visit the animals at feeding time.
