Ross Lake/Beach, the remodeled Beaverton Tavern, park, an ice cream shop and splash park are all located within a long walk or short drive. We are close to Gladwin, Ross Lake, ORV trails and the Juicy Bone. The river flows into Wixom Lake which is anticipated to be back in 2025. Sandy beach with river access . You can access the river from our canoe portage on the property. Good fishing, swimming or just hanging out. You can also canoe, kayak or tube beautiful Tobacco River or sandy Cedar River. Quiet, despite a nearby road/bridge, and situated on the Tobacco River, Riverdaze offered me a private retreat while visiting friends nearby. I stayed for 3 nights with two pups and enjoyed the hospitality of the host as well as the convenience of nearby activities and restaurants. The hosts are putting work into the property, with improvements, and I'll keep it in mind if in the area again. The sites are perfect for tenters, small trailers, or those interested in boondocking with fire rings and picnic tables provided. A new treehouse and available water activities are great for families and adventurists.

This site is a slice of heaven on earth. We had the most comfortable camping conditions weather-wise, it was getting a bit chilly in September so we had the entire property to ourselves. So peaceful and healing. Site 2 and 3 are definitely show stoppers. The walk down to the campsite feels right out of a Disney woodland movie, complete with a ton of foliage, flowers, and a babbling creek that was a dream to listen to as you fall asleep at night. Sarah was awesome and super communicative and let us have free range of the sites during our stay since we were the only ones there. Being on the river was absolutely picturesque and we are already planning on coming back in the summer to enjoy the river more. Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your gorgeous property with us, we are so excited to come back with friends!

Very private campsite with gorgeous view of the stars. We overall had a nice trip, but would make a few adjustments: - The camp site was smaller than I was expecting based on the photos. - The walk down to the creek was nice, but could definitely use some maintenance to help clear up the stinging nettle and poison ivy. - There is poison ivy everywhere along the campsite perimeter, so I wouldn’t recommend this site to groups with pets of kids. - The entryway is marked with blue reflectors (not rocks like the description says)

We had such a great time here, my kids loved it and can’t wait to come back. Definitely family friendly. Being on the river is incredible. The host were so great just like the other reviews said. Helpful, kind, and also not to overbearing. Rent the kayaks! It’s a great trip.

Great camping experience overall. Loved the location- lots of cute local farmstands nearby to stop at and beautiful scenery. We fit 2 small tents on the cleared site and easily could have fit 1-2 more. The site feels secluded and safe. Coyotes started barking around dusk and did not stop until dawn. We took a walk down to the river (follow the pink blazes) but the path was very overgrown once you got down to the bottom and the tall grass was irritating our skin, even through pants, so we didn't linger. Lots of thorny plants (blackberries) everywhere. Did not see any ticks and surprisingly low mosquitos. The site came with a couple of nice logs to burn and we had no problem finding kindling and branches nearby for the fire. There were also a few tools, like a shovel, rake, and fire pokey thing. Note: the little road to the site is hard to find but just be smart about it. I downloaded google maps for the area and saved the coordinates and was able to use the satellite image to find the way (it is marked by two reflectors but there is also a sign that says no trespassing before you see the HIP sign). We did have a little intermittent cell service but don't count on it. I was with a friend this time but would feel safe camping alone here as a woman.

2 nights at C & A Adventure

My best friend and I took a much-needed girl's trip to C&A in August. Aimee's communication and directions were extremely thorough, and amenities were better than a hotel. We packed as if we were going camping, but quickly realized we way overpacked, as Aimee had thought of everything. Chad and Aimee are lovely humans and gave us our space but still made communication easily accessible when there were any questions. We loved our campsite and enjoyed soaking up the scenery, hammocks, and firepit. The bathhouse was fully equipped with toiletries, a mini fridge, a large sink, snacks, tea, and coffee maker. Cell service was spotty, but texts still came and went eventually. The geography of this part of Michigan is absolutely beautiful, and we will keep C&A in mind for future adventures.

It's just the most beautiful place to go! It was my third trip and it won't be my last. Sarah is the best hostess and the place is absolutely beautiful. Definitely bring a wagon and some water shoes and you'll have the best time. I love Site #1 and keep coming back to it. The others are gorgeous, too, but I love the spillway and the creek. It's so tucked away that you'd never believe there was camping down there. The river isn't super deep so it's great for wading and swimming. Plus, there are spots you could drop kayaks or tubes in up river and float back to Doriath. I brought an anchor and floated on rafts for hours right out front. I'm so grateful that Sarah shares this place with the world!

We loooooved our stay on site 3!! What a perfect spot for our family camping trip. Sarah was a wonderful host and was ready to come out to help me when my car died! Great spot, great communication- loved the land! We saw bald eagles flying the river, enjoyed the sounds of the springs while we slept, listened to all the other bird and animal noises and swam and kayaked up and down the river all day! Will be back 10/10. ☀️

The host was amazing! He doted over us making sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. Quiet, incredibly clean and manicured. The river was fantastic. After I forgot what I needed for kayaking, the host offered their kayaks which we spent the day on. So peaceful. The town had a great ice cream shop, out of town was great BBQ. We will return.
