You must back into the driveway from the road (there are no pull through sites). Our driveway is 15' - 20' wide for ease of backing up. 20/30/50 amp electrical, sewer, water, internet WIFI (100mbs), fire pit (please do not move fire pits), and a picnic table are included for each site. Trash bin is at the road. The sites are level, consist of crushed concrete gravel covered by 6a stone, and are 12' wide. One family per site unless you are booking as a group.   Check-In is 1:00 p.m. and Check-Out is 11:00 a.m. At this time, we DO NOT accommodate stand alone tent camping as we have no restroom facilities. Pets are welcome but we ask that you clean up after them, be mindful of other guests, and be respectful of our neighbor's property. IF YOUR PET IS ON THE NEIGHBOR’S PROPERTY YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE and no refund will be provided. You are in a land carved by glaciers, seriously! A place away from the rest of the world, but within a short drive to the best Northwest Michigan has to offer. We are on a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle. Peaceful, quiet, one acre property surrounded by deep wooded forests. If you are looking to get away, this is it!  A private, full hook-up, RV campground with all the amenities including high speed internet. This is glamping at its BEST! You will not find a more charming place so close to the lakes of Northwest Michigan's lower peninsula and all within driving distance to the coolest cities. In full disclosure, we are not a commercial resort campground or a state park: this is our family property. We are excited in the joy and happy moments this land brings to our family and others. If you want a place with a hundred sites and tons of people around you this is not going to be a place you want to stay. Bring your boats, canoes, kayaks, bathing suits, and fishing poles!  Less than a 3 minute walk to Echo Township Park (Six Mile Lake) with beach, playground and boat launch (yes, you can literally walk there).  25 minutes to Torch Lake Township Day Park (Torch Lake), Antrim Creek Nature Area (Lake Michigan), Norwood Township Park (Lake Michigan), Elm Pointe Recreation area (Lake Charlevoix's South Arm), or Notewares Landing Beach (Lake Bellaire).  This is by far the coolest place east of the Mississippi to hit rivers, streams, and lakes. Hiking at its best!  Glacial Hills Pathway and Natural Area Trailhead (Bellaire); Avalanche Preserve (Boyne City); Sleepy Hollow Nature Preserve (East Jordan); and Northpoint Nature Preserve (Charlevoix). Go shopping or out to eat!  15 minutes to East Jordan (breakfast at Southarm Cafe is a must / dinner at Las Maracas for tacos), Bellaire (Short's Brewery), Central Lake (visit Bachmann's Five and Dime) or Ellsworth (Front Porch Cafe Breakfast).  25 minutes to Charlevoix (don't forget to visit Castle Farms on the way).  30 minutes to Boyne City (Indo China Gardens has great Asian cuisine). 35 minutes to Elk Rapids (Pearl's New Orleans Kitchen). 45 minutes to Petoskey.  1 hour to Traverse City.  Hour and a half to Mackinaw City. Currently we are offering only one campsite, so as our only campers you can enjoy an even more private, secluded experience in our 40 acre woods. Our property is undeveloped, so you will need to bring your own drinking water, but there's no need to worry about finding firewood before your arrive as we supply you with all you need. The farm is walking distance to Lake Leelanau and Schneider township park. Walking/hiking trails are available throughout the property and nearby areas. Provemont Pond which lies across M-204 is a lovely natural area with many trails. Shopping or rock hunting in historic Fishtown, aka, Leland is 6 minutes by car, a bit longer by bike. We are just minutes to several Lake Michigan beaches, Suttons Bay and Northport. Drive 25 minutes to Traverse City to the Southeast or 33 minutes Southwest to Sleeping Bear Dune climb and the quaint village of Empire. Lots to enjoy for the foodies as well. Aside from the many wineries and distilleries, you can find Nittollos italian fare and stone fired pizza. Dicks Pour House where all the locals go, and Fiddleheads which features many local farm foods in their pop-up weekend menus. In Leland you can dine at The Cove, or Leland Lodge. For quick bites try The Sandwich Shoppe and Carlsons smoked fish during the late spring/summer/early fall times. Fischers Happy Hour on hour way to Northport has the best broasted chicken around. Also available for purchase are organic farm fresh eggs, cold soda, and bottled water, as well as bags of ice in the freezer. At Grateful Acres we aim to make your stay with us, as enjoyable as possible. The two sites sit on 3 beautiful, quiet acres in Northern Michigan. Site #1 is flat, open, and spacious, while site #2 is a bit more enclosed and private tucked into the trees. Both sites come furnished with a picnic table, a fire ring with attached grill for cooking and 2 adirondack chairs. The Star gazing at night is absolutley Amazing!! Great spot for camping! Tina and Tom’s property is remote, quiet, and relaxing. The area was clean and hook up was super simple. Tom was there when we arrived to show us the lay of the land and even let us borrow an adapter for a 50 amp hook up because we didn’t have one. Tina is super quick on responding to any questions. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice and private site with delightful hosts!

The land was stunning and the hosts were very helpful. We came from hours away by the time we ended up arriving. It just happened to be storming, but the hosts were so nice and still helped my husband figure out how to get set up. There’s a few storage structures on the property but doesn’t get in the way of the beautiful area.

Jayne and her husband were excellent hosts. Jayne was there when we arrived and guided us right to our sites. When we mentioned our plans for the next day, she even shared tips on the best beaches to look for Petoskey stones. Marty, the camp host for the summer, was very friendly as well. When we were hitching up to leave, the head of a bolt on our hitch snapped off, leaving the remaining piece stuck with no way to unscrew it. Marty had the tools to cut and remove it, then set us up with a new bolt so we could get back on the road. We were incredibly grateful for his help. We will definitely stay with them again the next time we camp in the area. Great location and truly top‑notch hosts.

Phenomenal hosts! Super accommodating and always willing to help with anything we needed! The site was a bit tricky to back into but host was helpful in guiding me in. The campsite was spacious with plenty of room for my dogs’ pen with room to spare. Quiet and peaceful surroundings with a small decorated trail that goes to the neighboring site. A little stick man mysteriously appeared on my bumper … we let him stay 😂 Will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area!

We loved our stay at Elm Valley.! The location was perfect; close to everything we love about northern Michigan! It was a short ride to the bike trail which took us into Suttons Bay and Traverse City. The hosts were very friendly. The site was beautiful and very quiet. I will definitely stay here again!

We love site one for our smaller camper. So cozy! This was our second time here. The hosts are so nice and helpful. We had trouble with our hose and Mike came over and helped us. It’s very quiet and private and very pretty. Our dog was welcome there. They had water and electric hook up. It’s so close to everything we wanted to do that we could come home partway during the day and then go back out in the afternoon. Would recommend!

We absolutely loved our time at Tina and Tom's place. Very quiet, full hook up and a trail through the woods our dogs loved. We will definitely be back there. I only wish I lived closer, so we could enjoy it more often. Firewood being provided was very nice as well

Weekend Trip to Woodhaven

We had a great stay! The host met us when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed and was very welcoming. He took time to talk with us and share ideas for things the kids could do, which we really appreciated. The property is a beautiful, large piece of land in the country, with a peaceful setting and close to the lakes. There was plenty of space for the dogs to run around, which was a huge plus. Everything was clean, the setup was easy and convenient, and the fire pit was a great bonus. Friendly hosts and a wonderful spot. We definitely recommend.

The hosts thought of everything! Lots of space to enjoy with our dogs, and the septic and water hookups were perfect. Beautiful, level and maintained site, and we were alone and private. The building in the pics is storage, not a residence so it was blissfully quiet back there. Pulling into the site with our 50 foot truck/trailer combo was super easy (straight shot back off the road and then just a very short backing up onto the site). Tom met us there and thankfully had the right elec adapter to go from 50 down to 30 for us! We enjoyed a few nights of campfire with the nice fire ring and complimentary firewood. All in all, this is one of a couple of the best run and easiest hipcamp sites we've encountered. We'll definitely be back! Rick and Jane

Weekend Trip to Elm Valley

Perfect spot for everything on the Leelanau Peninsula! The camp site was perfect and backed up to rolling hills, trees and trails. The electricity, water and WiFi were fantastic and made our stay in our camper even more enjoyable. Jayne is a fantastic host and met us in the driveway to ensure we were settled and then was only a text away if we needed anything. We explore all over the peninsula and down around Glen Arbor, the camp site is perfectly situated for access to everything!

We had a fantastic stay at Site 1 – Elm Valley (hosted by Jayne). From the moment we arrived, Jayne greeted us warmly, offered firewood, and helped guide our 22-ft travel trailer into the perfect spot. The site was level, flat, with water & electric hookups—just what we needed. We were among the last campers of the season and feel grateful we were able to secure such a great location. The location was very convenient—several wineries were just a short drive away—making it easy to explore when time permitted. We were in town for the Iceman Cometh Challenge mountain bike race and enjoyed chatting with Jayne about the event and her family/friends who’ve done it. Upon departure, her husband stopped by to ensure everything was good—it wrapped up the stay perfectly. Jayne is exactly the kind of host you hope for: friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. We’ll absolutely plan to return—maybe next summer to make fuller use of those nearby wineries. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The scenery was stunning—fall colors everywhere and peaceful views in every direction. It was incredibly quiet and relaxing, perfect for a weekend getaway. The campsite were large, clean, and perfectly level, which made setup a breeze. You can really tell the hosts take pride in keeping the place beautiful and well-maintained. We’ve done a lot of fall camping, and this was easily one of our favorites. We’ll definitely be coming back!
