Uraharas On The Hill

Beautiful campsite, accommodations and scenery are exactly as advertised. Plenty of firewood, warm showers (down the Trail), well-maintained sites. Just avoid the sand (they warned us) and keep your foot on the gas up that hill!! Definitely would book again.

The most respectfulost caring and thoughtful place I've ever camped. They have a common area for music, festivals and there's colorful lights and designs on trees it's just like a little electric forest! It was so fun! It was very clean and had trash cans for us, fire wood for free, clean out house and a really cute little shower house. It was so refreshing to stay here. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere and was so helpful with everything totally recommend!!!

Great experience at site 2

We loved the site at Marcy’s, we got there late and she was available right away to showed us where everything was. There was a space for a bonfire, there was a shower where the water is hot. We just stayed there one night but I would definitely go back to stay for a couple nights. Marcy was always super responsive as well.

Unique & secluded.

Marcy's effort to make campers feel welcome & cared for is extraordinary. We were the only campers there and had total privacy. The three sites are spread out enough & fairly secluded. I imagine, even with other campers on grounds it would still feel quite private. It would be an amazing place to group camp as well, particularly if you had a bunch of musicians to use the beautifully built stages. There is some road noise but nothing extreme. Finding it & driving up the hill was no problem. Great base camp for all the nearby activities.

Bargain camp!

This camp was by far my best experience on hip camp! We had the entire common area to ourselves. We all had so much painting pictures with each other around the camp fire. We are already hoping to plan our next trip here. All of the girls really appreciated the showers… said they were warm entire time

Mini Sherwood Forest!

Marcy is such a friendly and accommodating host! The attention to detail at Marcy’s sites were so charming—we cannot wait to come back! Definitely beats a regular camp ground. The showers and bathrooms were clean (consistently hot water in the showers!) and we especially enjoyed the mini Sherwood Forest-y common area and the stages. Marcy also provided wood for our camp fire and let us borrow a lighter! Super cool and great stay all around.

We were a little nervous as this was our first Hipcamp trip. We were blown away with this place. We have camped all over and this is by far the nicest setup if you like big sites lots of privacy and super cool host. We will return. Just short drive to torch lake and the others.

Very bare bones site. Lots of animal activity in the area which is unnerving, and it's close to the road so you will hear traffic. The shower is outdoor and only 1 person can take a shower as it quickly runs out of hot water and even after an hour is not ready again. Truly my least favorite place I have camped

Site three extended group camping

I cannot say enough about this site! We were looking for something seclusive and this was spot on! We had a large group and they were very accommodating. The showers and bathroom were remarkably clean. You’re just 7 minutes from public access at Torch Lake, minutes from stores/gas stations and about 40 minutes from Traverse! If you’re looking for a real deal camping experience where you’re free to also pick up and go to town this is it!

From the time we checked in till the time we left we had the best time at this camp site!! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re looking to camp close to Torch Lake!! Macys place was grate! She greeted us upon arriving letting us know where everything was even though we didn’t get there until 7pm. There was plenty of fire wood, the campsite was clean and could tell it had even been freshly raked. The bathroom was cleaner then any porta potty I’ve ever been in. Despite not being any electric there was still a power strip up by the communal area that we were able to use! Such a cool place, will be staying again!

Our stay was lovely from beginning to end. Marcy was such a gem and was there for us through out our stay. The site is well taken care of and was a lovely space to come home to after adventuring around Torch Lake and Traverse bay. Will definitely be returning in the near future ♥️

Unfortunately I was not able to make it to Marcy’s campground which sucks because it’s so cute!!! Marcy had great communication tho. She gave super details instructions and kept in touch through my trip to make sure things would be ok.

Marcy is an absolute gem! She was right there to welcome us when we arrived and you can so quickly see the passion she has and the work she has put into that space! She was kind and welcoming and cares so much for her guests and their comfort. I love the idea of an adult only campground. The space felt private, even though it was on her property. The lights at night added so much, too. We are so grateful to have stumbled upon this while looking for a place to camp and we can’t wait to stay again!

MINI ELECTRIC FOREST

Marcy was an amazing host. We had plenty of space for our two tents and a good distance from the other campers without being too far away. We had our own fire pit, wood and fire starter plus a portapotty and hand washing station! Marcy was super friendly and accommodating, we felt great leaving our things to go explore Torch Lake. Marcy daughter also showed us her amazing fairy garden (definitely worth asking about). There was a common area with lights, a fire pit and a great place to meet the other campers! We hope we can make time to stay again. If you want a great place to stay away from campgrounds but without being alone in the woods, this is the place to be!
