There are private camp sites for guests who prefer to pitch a tent or park their van or RV. There's a portable toilet on site seasonally for guests staying on the lower half of the farm.
We can accommodated small respectful groups of campers looking for a quiet stay in nature. It's a great spot for local Scout Troops to pitch their tents and explore nature. Message for more information.

I'm about 20 minutes from Mount Wachusett and 5 minutes from the Quabbin. Lots of hiking all around, including from my farm (a nice 3 mile walk through a wildlife preserve). Worcester is about a 30 minute drive. Lot's of lakes all around with good fishing. The town of Barre has some excellent restaurants, a grocery store, hardware store, etc. This is an organic farm so you must use biodegradable products in you use my dump station. Our 2 acre property and house is located in the center of the small town of Leverett. We have two sites, a private camping spot located down by the stream, and a yurt at the edge of the yard. We are near a paved road with moderate traffic.
The property abuts many acres of woods and there are a number of great walking trails nearby. A half-mile walk behind the house takes you through the forest to an outlook on Leverett Pond.
The Peace Pagoda is just a few miles up the road. Other nearby destinations include Cushman Market and Cafe, the Montague Bookmill, and Mt. Toby waterfall, caves, and lookout tower.
Leverett Pond has a public boat launch nearby. We have canoes, paddles, and lifejackets available for rent--inquire for details!
The area has excellent bike riding as well. We enjoy all these activities and are happy to share further destinations, routes, and suggestions!

Our driveway is located about 3 miles from the start of the Boston Marathon, 8 minutes from 495, but, down a country road. We find our property to be quite peaceful. We do have crickets and frogs to lull you to sleep and early birds to greet you in the morning. Keep an eye out for turtles!
We are a few hundred yards from either Upton State Forest or Lake Whitehall. Lake Whitehall is popular with boaters (speed limit enforced) and is stocked with fish. No swimming. There is a public boat ramp on the other side of the lake. We often put in our kayaks at the entrance close to our house. We hike, mountain bike and picnic in these parks. It's really beautiful. There is a 24-hour grocery store 2 miles down the road.
The gravel campsite is located at the barn end of our driveway in front of the red barn. There is a little privacy from the house, but, we may need to get into the barn from time to time. We have a 30amp and water hookup at the barn. If planning on using electric please add one "electric hookup" extra to each night of your stay BEFORE finishing the request to book, it's really difficult to add it after. Please plan to bring 50' of hose and/or 25ft of electrical cord if using hookups. There is wifi, BUT, it's pretty weak at the barn. Definitely not strong enough for streaming! Our Ibex camper may or may not be parked next to the barn depending on if we are out camping! We do not accept car campers.
Turtle Path also has a Guest Suite. Find us on that other website! Shortly after we moved in we discovered a large snapping turtle on his way from Lake Whitehall to the creek at the back of our property. Our neighbor told us that's the turtle's usual route. Turtle won our hearts that day.

Goodwin State Forest is less than 3 miles away by car where you can put in a canoe on Pine Lake, amble through the wildflower and pollinator gardens, or enjoy the Education Center and Museum. Robert was a wonderful host who responded quickly to all question, gave excellent and accurate recommendations, and clearly cares about his Hipcampers. His lovely hillside was abundant with ripe berries, fruits, and vegetables, which Robert generously allows Hipcampers to gather and enjoy! What an unexpected surprise. My only warning to those pulling campers is that the field is truly a hillside made up nearly entirely of ups and downs with very few flat spots. You will need to figure out a way to level yourself manually, which we did without too much trouble.

Weekend Trip to Mishnoah Retreat
We loved Susan, she was such a great host! So accommodating and sweet. Besides the host, the cabins themselves were nice, cozy, well cleaned, and all around amazing. We were in the owl cabin and it’s closest to the lake, literally less than a minute walk. The lake is so beautiful and Susan even has some kayaks and canoes that you can borrow, she also had so many lifejackets, fishing poles, traps, and gear anyone could freely use. It was so sweet and we will definitely be coming back!

What a fantastic site! It's a perfect setting for a large group to relax in comfort and in nature. There were 20+ of us for a long weekend and we LOVED the accommodations, the location, the beautiful surroundings. From a great pizza night using the wood-burning oven to a local swim and hike, there was absolutely everything we could have asked for. Our island getaway was absolutely perfect! We loved lounging on the dock and brought floaties to enjoy the water. Other highlights included evening stargazing, a stunning misty morning sunrise, and playing backgammon on the porch during an afternoon rain shower. The cabin was so cozy and has everything you could need. The thoughtful hosts made sure we knew exactly what to expect and what to bring to make the most of our time there. You can tell from the moment you arrive at Alan’s campsite that he loves his land so very much and is eager to share it with his guests. From the immaculate campsite to the amazing manicured trails to the amenities - you will fall in love with this land, just the same way the host has. By far the best tent site I’ve stayed at on Hipcamp!

Stunning property!! Beautiful and quiet, the host is friendly and helpful but gives you privacy. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this campsite and would absolutely return for another stay.

My daughter asked me why we haven’t gone camping in a while and I said it’s up to her, where do you want to go? She exclaimed “Rosy Goat Farm!” lol! She remembered the last time we went years ago and wanted to head back, great memories!

4 nights at Salamander Hollow Healing Habitat
Super private little cabin with too many amenities to call it camping, while retaining the outdoors feel. Loved staying here! Mary is also incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s clear she loves the land and the space.
