Our property is 85 very private acres with an open field surrounded by forest and open wooded area with many trails. The forest is very diverse including some old growth maples and birches, as well as hemlock and pine trees. The campsites are at the edge of the field set back into the woods. I have recently added sand and gravel to improve drainage since the heavy rain we have had last year. We have a portable composting toilet outhouse and a hot outdoor shower. Feel free to explore all of the trails on foot or mountain bike. You may see some turkeys or deer out there. There is a small pond with lots of frogs and salamanders near the camping area, and a few seasonal streams on the property. You can hike a one mile loop on our newest trail. It is medium difficulty because of the hillside it is built on so hiking boots are recommended unless you are on a mountain bike. Rock walls built in the mid 1800s circle the property almost entirely so the borders are easy to see. The Deerfield river is a few miles away where you can fish for trout or go for a swim or kayak. The Connecticut river and the green river are about 15 minutes away as well. We have tubes, a canoe, and a kayak that are available to rent for some floating! Historic Deerfield village and Yankee Candle store and factory are about 10 minutes away. We are about 20 minutes from Northampton and Amherst.

Large enough for 4 tents or one RV (25ft or smaller). Porta potty provided. Hose for water. No electric provided, generators allowed. Easy access to beautiful Chapman Pond (100 yards away), which is stocked with Trout and also home to Bass, Crappie and Perch. Great place to fish or just relax! The use of two kayaks and firewood available at no extra charge. (IF using the kayaks, they are to be brought back to the campsite and NOT left at the pond. If they are left at the pond and stolen, campers will be responsible for the replacement cost, which is about $600.) Lots of wildlife (loons, turtles, geese, deer, bear etc). You're free to explore the land and trails that go part way around the pond to the "Big Rock" and beyond. Info at the campsite for other nearby hikes and activities. We allow public access to the "Grassy Area", however larger camper groups that book this site have full access and are welcome to setup tents there, but no fires are allowed on the grass.. only in designated fire pit. (FOR THOSE WITH A TOW BEHIND CAMPER, you will want to drive to the pond boat landing at the end of Chapman Pond Rd, turn around, head back towards the campsite and BACK IN.) FOR THOSE WITH DOGS, we love dogs, we have our own. For everyone's safety and well-being we ask that you please keep them with you and under your control at all times. We have a farm nearby and want no casualties because of a loose dog. Also, our 90 lb APBT is very friendly but not to every dog he meets. $20 PET FEE - 2 DOGS MAX. SMOKERS, we allow smoking at the site but please dispose of your butts properly and help keep our property beautiful. All around beautiful and peaceful campsite. City of Keene is 15 minutes away. Directions to the property were clear. The site was clean, flat, private, and peaceful. Although we didn’t use the firepit, everything was there. The outdoor shower had perfect temperature and pressure. Willis was friendly, met us upon arrival, and made sure we had everything we needed.

Our family had a wonderful time setting up a “village” (3 tents) on this property. We made the trip from New York City specifically because Willis promised unlimited firewood and we sure took advantage! He was super kind and accommodating. If you’re looking for the feeling of deep- woods camping, this isn’t it; you definitely have the feeling of being on someone’s property, especially because you’re using their awesome hot outdoor shower. Highly recommend for families and folks looking for a city escape! Thanks, Willis!

I have to say it was lovely to camp here. Willis has beautiful land! Although campgrounds are nice, his place is private and you're alone surrounded by woods yet not deep in for tough accessibility. There's easy access in and out. You're right in there hearing the birds! Mornings are especially quiet, which is very nice. The fire pit is great as well and when we were there the campsite was clean. It is minutes away from the Tree House Brewing Company in Deerfield where we went for two nights of great music at a nice small venue. My family, friends, and I would definitely go again.

Great property! The main camping area is nestled away in the forest with a picnic table and firepit, and room for a tent and/or a camper van and a couple hammocks. There’s also a whimsical playhouse sized for little people. The full property has multiple other sites for tents/campers, plus a field that’s great for starwatching. The outdoor shower was great. Compost toilet is a compost toilet, what else can you say, haha. The main hose is across the field, visible but not intrusive. We took a couple walks on the trails behind the site. Very pleasant forest with enough change in elevation to make it interesting but not too challenging. We didn’t get all the way to the river. I suggest getting specific directions if that’s what you want. Willis is a great host. Responsive and friendly.

What a great spot! Lots of great amenities provided on-site, from bug spray and citronella candles, lighter, games, heat-resistant gloves, airhorns in case of bears, etc. Many are things that you should already probably bring yourself, but so convenient to have as backups. Firepit, chairs, firewood, picnic table, trash bin with a trash bag in, all located right together. The portapotty was a short walk up the driveway, just far enough to be a little private. It was clean and came stocked with TP, wipes, and sanitizer. The pond is gorgeous. We took the kayaks out, and had the whole place to ourselves. Well, us and the beavers, ducks, frogs, etc. Just a short walk fown a path from the campsite. The only other noise seems to have been from another set of campers. It was very quiet, and very relaxing. Hosts were responsive and friendly. Very, very happy with our experience here!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Stays At Quill Nook Farm

I absolutely loved my tent camping stay at Alison and Tristons Riverwalk campsite !! They were more than accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed, checked in on the first and last day of my stay, and also gave me some trails and swimming spots while staying on the property! The site itself was beautiful, clean, shaded toward the end of the day, and perfectly accessible ( as a solo camper in a smaller vehicle) The trail that leads down to the river with the swing is enchanting and breathtaking. Truly a beautiful spot to relax and explore. The community bathroom was clean and actually pretty cozy ( with the single wall, floor to ceiling, mini library) It was nice having a sanitary place to use the bathroom, accessible running water, a spigot to fill water jugs, and a place to charge things while there. You can tell Alison and Triston have put so much time into their land, working hard to make it a beautiful, relaxing, getaway kind of place to be. There’s so much to do and explore on their 200 acres and they are more than happy to share it! They are great people with a true gem of property and I’m so grateful they share it with all of us! I will 1000% be back to stay and explore some more !! Also Oliver, their farm dog, is an awesome dude ! We had an amazing camping experience here! Willis was super welcoming and gave us some great recs for bike paths in the area. The shaded area was perfect, and the walking trails on the property were a lovely bonus. We felt safe and private the whole time. One tip: bring a thermacell! It was a total lifesaver when it came to bugs, they're inevitable outdoors, but it made a huge difference. We also appreciated the large sink for washing dishes. Overall, we'd definitely recommend this spot!
