The Agape is located on 20 acres and over 2000' of shoreline in Maryland’s Eastern Shore, with breath taking sunsets every evening. The Button Farm Living History Center is a hands-on education facility dedicated to preserving the history of the Underground Railroad. It is operated by the Menare Foundation through a long term lease agreement with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Several of us who work for the non-profit live in the Button Farm house and share the land with our pigs, geese, chickens and lots of wildlife. We're a close drive to Germantown and all the basic amenities of modern life, but when you come down our drive, you enter a world of natural beauty and rural quiet. When booking, keep in mind that all persons--regardless of age or whether or not they intend to spend the night--must be paid for. Our restroom includes hand sanitizer.

Judi and Berry are kind and generous hosts, and their property is beautiful! I was so grateful to enjoy gorgeous sunsets from their quiet campsite rather than endure a chaotic Labor Day weekend in a packed RV park. I was provided a level concrete pad with electric (50/30A and 120V), water, and a view of the harbor. I was also able to use Judi and Berry's pier with a cute tiki hut, picnic table, and chairs surrounding a firepit. Frequent guests included a family of ducks, a family of swans, a heron, and an osprey. I had a great weekend!

Weekend Trip to The Agape

This is a one of a kind site, situated on a point with 180 degree water views of the Wye River. We spent our mornings watching the Watermen working their crab lines while the sun rose over the water. Our evenings consisted of watching the fish break the water as the sun went down across the river, watching the dogs swim and then drinks by the fire pit. It was private, quiet, serene and perfect. So many people on these sites say “we’ll be back!” yet rarely do. We’re already planning our next weekend at the same spot.

This was a beautiful site, private, host was able to provide wood for a reasonable fee. They also checked in after one night to make sure all was ok. We will definitely return with a boat in hopes to catch some Wye River Crabs! We are only 30 minutes away which is another advantage for us.

This was our second time at Harbor View and it was just as delightful as the first. The spot is perfect and the views are unbeatable, it feels like being in a nature sanctuary. Our son loved being able to swim in the water and we all loved watching the swans, herons, ducks, and osprey. It is hard not to be relaxed while staying there and we will definitely keep coming back! Barry and Judi are the best hosts out there.

First off, Judi and Berry are wonderful hosts who have many years of RV’ing experience. They made us feel right at home. And then, there is the view from the RV. We watched the swan family (mom, dad and 2 cygnets), the mallard duck family and when they weren’t around, the great blue heron came to visit. Of course, you can also walk down to the dock, enjoy a cold brew and watch the sunset. We will be back :-) Family

We absolutely loved RV camping here! The land was beautiful, and waking up to the sound of the water each morning was so peaceful. The hosts were incredibly accommodating. We booked for 2 nights but my boys were having such a good time that they wanted to stay another night, and we did just that. I highly recommend this site!

It's easy to imagine a large group of friends camping here.

My wife and I had an unforgettable stay here. The campsite is in a wide open field with no one else around — just peace, quiet, and endless sky. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The picnic tables were sturdy and well-placed, making it easy to enjoy meals outdoors. A perfect spot for couples who want to disconnect and enjoy nature in total privacy. Highly recommended!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Harbor View RV Site. Judi and Barry were great hosts, making us and our dog Gracie feel at home on their property. We didn’t get to fully enjoy the incredible dock and waterfront, it was chilly and windy, so we spent time checking out Colonial Beach and George Washington Birthplace Nat Mon. It was our 49th wedding anniversary so we asked for a restaurant recommendation. Judi and Barry both recommended Sunflower in Colonial Beach, it did not disappoint. I highly recommended this place and hope to return in warmer weather.
