About Tyme Farm

2 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents26 acres · Westminster, MD
About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.

Conewago Glamp and Paddle

1 site · Lodging8 acres · Dover, PA
Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay. The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area. Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here. I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way. Wildlife love it here, I think you will too.

It's fit for up to six guests looking for a modern yet close-to-nature adventure. The relaxed and quiet atmosphere here, coupled with medium-firm plush beds fitted with quality sheets (and darkening blinds in each room), guarantees you'll wake up each morning feeling refreshed. This beautiful Mt Gretna cabin rental features two unique living rooms. After a long day of fun, you can sink into any of the comfortable sofas and chairs they each offer. Anywhere you decide to sit you'll be received by large windows, giving you access to the rich views which make you feel like you're among the trees. And although T.V. is optional when you're in the mountains... there are two high definition Smart television's here for you. When it's time for a hot meal or coffee or tea, you may be able to see deer grazing on grass and shrubbery from the large window in the kitchen. A set of binoculars on the windowsill await your curiosity. Pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils, blender, toaster, a toaster oven, crockpot, and every common kitchen utensil and tool are available for you. Sippy cups, plastic tableware, and a high chair are available for your little ones. There is a dishwasher and tablets for you to use. As well as dish soap, new sponge, a bottle cleaner, and dish rags if you prefer that. The gas range stove gives you the ability to whip up a meal for six or a beautiful brunch to enjoy on the deck or in the dining space. And there's a drip coffee maker, french press, and tea kettle with plenty of coffee, decaf, and teas (both caffeinated and herbal) for your utmost convenience. When you want to enjoy a meal together, there's a lovely wood dining table for you all to share. The dining table seats four, but foldable dining trays are there to accomodate more. There's also a charcoal grill with utensils for you to enjoy cooking outside. With plenty of outdoor seating at your disposal. The master washroom has two sinks, comfortable toilet with a bidet, large bath tub, and always has a bath tray & bath bombs for you to unplug, take a nice hot bath, and forget about the world. For your convenience, there is a heater right above the tub so you can step out of the shower feeling warm and refreshed. Body soap, shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, Q tips, dental floss picks, extra toothbrushes, 2 hair dryers, extra toilet paper, and clean towels/wash rags are a few of the amenities you can expect to be provided for you. As you waltz your way down to the first floor, you'll notice a cast iron wood oven. Grab some firewood, a Duraflame log, and matches from any local gas station or grocery store, and cozy up next to it for a truly authentic cabin experience. In this section of the cabin, you have a poker table with a real Hard Rock Casino Las Vegas poker set, Scrabble, Uno! Flip, Pictionary, Heads Up!, Bluetooth Karaoke mic, Scattegories, and about 8 other board games. The TV here is fitted with a vintage Nintendo 64 with over 600 games for your enjoyment. There’s also a bar with a cocktail kit, beer pitcher, wine & shot glasses, and a mini fridge to keep your beverages ice cold. And beside the bar are beach chairs, beach mat, floaty, cooler, a beach bag, and speaker to take with you to the lake. Beside the bar is a high efficiency washer and dryer so you can take home clean laundry with you. Detergent is made readily available to you. And there is also a half bathroom with hand soap and plenty of toilet paper here. As well as a space heater, dehumidifier, and clothes drying rack if you choose to use them. Overall, the house is decorated with throw pillows and blankets, lighting fixtures, plants, art work, and books. There are travel guides, cookbooks, history books, and novels everywhere. Titles by Ernest Hemingway, Louisa May Alcott, Neil Gaiman, David Baldacci, Suzanne Collins, William Shakespeare, and more. In the master bedroom there are a number of children books and nighttime stories for the kiddos. And throughout, you'll enjoy fast Wifi at an excellent 800 Mbps - suitable for everyone's devices. Stepping outside, you will have a 3-4 seater hot tub in a screened sun room with plenty of seating around so the whole family can enjoy time together, with ash trays for smokers. The cabin sits on nearly an acre of raw wilderness begging for you - or your furry companion - to explore. We love dogs, and we understand how hard it can be to travel when you have to leave your furry friends at home. There is a sofa cover in the second floor coat closet for your convenience - that way your puppers can sleep or sit with you on the sofa risk free.
