This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily acomodated 20+ canpers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and RVs are welcome! There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here that won't bother you. I also travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit. Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available at the RV posts and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking. RV parking may need to be arranged with myself. For RVs, Electric hook up is 30amp and an extra $10/day. Water hook up is $5/fill. Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you. All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions. Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. For winter stays please send a request before booking. There is a group fire pit area on the grounds for everyone. Many people do not need electricity these days. So I have lowered the price of the spot. It is without electricity. You can add it on if you wish at $20 per night. You will need a long extension, and it is 20 amps. I have water for your holding tank. Sorry, no sewer. This is an excellent spot for a short stay. It is good if you need to be here a couple of days prior to your campground stay! I have been enjoying hosting campers here for the past two seasons. I can't wait to meet you! CENTRAL MAINE (CORINTH) - Camp sites are located in a large, quiet, rural backyard with direct access to 90 acres of wooded, private, non-motorized trails, including a shallow stream. Several camper/rv sites are available near the gazebo, some flatter than others. Two of our sites are even appropriate for horse trailers... bring your own portable electric fence, highline your horses, or use our grass paddock! In Corinth, the paved roads are considered ATV trails as long as you're heading to a trail (closest trail is less than 4 miles away). We are 30 minutes from the Interstate, 30 minutes from the Waterfront Concerts venue and Cross Insurance Center, and less than 1-2 hours from a ton of great outdoor attractions, like the Moosehead Lake Region, Baxter State Park, Fort Knox / Penobscot Observatory, and tons more. We can offer 15a electric at Sites 1 and 4, and we have a small dumpster, one bag of trash per stay is allowed. There is direct access to our private wooded trail system (non-motorized-use-only). Camp site property is attached to a small hobby farm with 2 horses and a flock of chickens. We sell beautiful blue/green/brown farm-fresh eggs from our free range chickens ($5/dozen). We also offer an optional and customizable "Farm Experience"... collect eggs, brush and feed horses, etc. Also optional/customizable, visit our home for a traditional Maine meal served on our patio, near our big fire pit. Meals are negotiated on a custom basis with local in-season foods.

Each cabin has two twin beds and includes two Adirondack chairs, a firepit, a small indoor table with two chairs, two LED-powered lanterns, one fan, 5 gallons of potable water, a simple outdoor kitchen table, a picnic table, and access to a propane on-demand shower house. The bathroom facilities include a shared port-o-potty or a compostable toilet—both options are available. These cabins are off the grid, with no power or water inside. We have a clean port-o-potty, serviced once a week, shared between the second cabin and one tent site. Potable water is provided in large jugs on the outdoor kitchen table. Please use eco-friendly soap for all dishes and body washing in the lake or in the field. Pets are welcome on a leash. We also have one dog on the property. Wi-Fi may be spotty, but information on connecting is provided in each cabin. You may need to get closer to the garage or house for better service. There is a small free library on the property with a few games you can borrow and return at no charge—perfect for a rainy evening. Be prepared for Maine’s environment and bring bug spray. Weekend Trip to Four Acre Woods Island Campground

We absolutely loved our stay at Four Acre Woods Campground. If anything we wish we had stayed longer! The campsite was out on a very quiet island, truly not too far from our outings. We stayed on the primitive secluded site which was absolutely perfect. It was very spacious, with tons of privacy, located steps away from the community cabin. We wish we had more time to enjoy the community cabin as it was warm, filled with books, games, cookware, utensils, lanterns, ice, tea, coffee, local guides and cozy sofas. Our campsite additionally had a private walk way to the bathrooms, which we were pleasantly surprised by for a campsite! The shower was equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash if needed, and the bathroom was as clean as you could possibly expect a campsite bathroom to be! Firewood was easy to purchase and bring over to our campsite which we appreciated. The hosts were very kind and helpful and we truly hope to be back again next year to hopefully spend a much longer stay at the four acre woods and get a chance to experience the onsite sauna :) thanks so much for having us! Would 110% recommend. (Ps. Just beware of deer and wildlife on the drive in, it is deer isle after all ;) )

I can’t say enough great things about this spot! My dog and I stayed for two and a half months and easily could have stayed twice as long. -The location is perfect — tucked in a residential area that offers plenty of privacy and peace, yet surrounded by friendly neighbors so it never feels isolated. You’re close to everything: most Acadia trails on Mount Desert Island are within a 25-minute drive, with many even closer (10-15 minutes). Bar Harbor is just 10 minutes away, offering great restaurants, shops, boat tours, and more. -The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable — I work remotely full-time from my rig and never had a single issue, even with constant Zoom and Teams video meetings. -Scott, the host, is fantastic — friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming, with excellent local recommendations. -It’s also a dog-friendly spot. There’s plenty of grassy space for short walks, and the lawn was mowed weekly, which I really appreciated. -The full hookups were in excellent condition and worked perfectly. There’s even a garden hose attached to the water line for convenience. -Parking was a breeze — the site is spacious and easy to maneuver into no matter the size of your rig. I live in a 30-foot Airstream and had no trouble backing in at all. Overall, this was one of my favorite stays — private, convenient, well-maintained, and hosted by someone who truly cares. Highly recommend!

I slept in my tent near the apple tree with the large green apples and the deer were right outside my tent all night and everytime an apple hit the ground they would grunt and prance in excitement and I could hear them crunching down on the apples all night. I spent three nights in the cozy barn tucked close to the wolves, and it was incredible drifting off to the sound of their howls at night. Quarrys Ledge was wonderful ! From the hospitable staff to the beautiful grounds, we had a great stay! The bathrooms were definitely note worthy as well, always clean and stocked. We stayed in a waterfront site which was definitely worth the extra money in my opinion. However, even the other campsites looked great. I also love that they gave an option to add firewood to the reservation - saved us a trip to the store! I highly recommend and would come back again!

This campground was the perfect place for us "home" during our fall visit to Acadia. We are a self-contained unit when we are on the road. That being said, it was nice to hook upto power and refill our water tank during our stay. It was also nice to have hot showers available. The campground was quiet at night. I slept well at night. The site was very close to all of the hikes on MDI. Some just down the road, trailheads no more than a 30 minute drive away. The site firm ground and fairly level. Perfect for our campervan. Being on the westside of MDI, it is away from the constant traffic that you face near Bar Harbor. We would recommend staying here.
