Plenty of board games, and maps of our local hikes and places to explore. Shower is located at the cabins. We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge and we just fixed the Old County Road and the parking area and the road is settling from being fixed but low cars have been making into the parking area with no problems. The paths are primitive and not suited for people who have trouble walking on uneven ground. We provide solar lights, propane stove, propane, natural bug spray, battery bank charger, 1 small bottled water per guests and sleeping bags. Heat provided from Oct 1 to April 30. No Out of State Maine Firewood. No water at the shower from October 15 to April 30 because of the frost.

There is a composting toilet inside with a battery-powered light for nighttime. Outside, there is a gravity-fed sink with non-potable running water and solar shower bag for a quick rinse. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS. FIRE PIT - A new, stone fire pit with a fitted grill for cooking is just off the front stone staircase. The dark sky is simply amazing on a clear night! BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD OR EASILY GATHER DOWNED WOOD ON THE LAND NO RUNNING WATER. We provide non-potable water for hand- and dishwashing from the rain barrel. BRING YOUR OWN POTABLE (DRINKING) WATER. NO ELECTRICITY. This is a truly an off-grid cabin so no air conditioning or electrical outlets. There is a nice cross, ocean breeze in the cabin. Please note: No electricity, no plumbing, no wi-fi. Campers are required to bring their own drinking water, towels and bedding (pillows and sleeping bags). We will supply you with one 5 gallon solar shower bag of non-potable water, toilet paper, and a limited amount of battery operated or solar powered light fixtures. We encourage campers to bring flashlights and headlamps. This site does not offer internet, but cell service from certain providers seems to be quite good.

Wilderness Glamping 200’ hill 22 acres off grid wooded area beautiful views of Mountains, Stream, Britton Prospect with traces of gold, silver and copper, trails around the Balsam Hill. ATV and Snowmobile Trails come right to Balsam Hill Cabins. The Cabins are right on the old Stagecoach Road that is 220 years old. We just fixed Old County Road to the Cabins. We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge Find us on YouTube videos of wild animals and campground area 😊 A-Frame Cabin 10’by10’, private, fire pit, benches, picnic table and hammock. The Cabin is 75’ from Old County Road and 200’ from the parking area. A cell phone booster is at the campground which works good and runs all the time and no wifi or power at the cabins off grid. Shower is located at the cabins. We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge and we just fixed the Old County Road and the parking area and the road is settling from being fixed but low cars have been making into the parking area with no problems. The paths are primitive and not suited for people who have trouble walking on uneven ground. We provide solar lights, propane stove, propane, natural bug spray, battery bank charger, 1 small bottled water per guests and sleeping bags. Heat provided from Oct 1 to April 30. No Out of State Maine Firewood. No water at the shower from October 15 to April 30 because of the frost.

Now a tiny dirt road, with ultimate privacy, Stone Hill was once a bustling 'highway' for folks traveling by horse and carriage as early as the 1700's and before then the lush valley was a thriving home for the Abenaki Tribe. This land is a gorgeous example of Maine's pristine nature and is full of native plants, fungi, and animals that we share the space with! The cabin is a cute little space made from recycled materials, creative building skills, and a whole lot of love. Nothing fancy by any means, just a fun spot to hide away with loved ones! We celebrate the simple things in life here. It's perfect for couples, small families, or upto 4 guests in 2 beds. Take a walk out the door into the woods, play down by the stream- have a campfire- or spend the day with your nose in a good book. The loft is fully stocked with paints and brushes if you're feeling the flow! It's just a great place to let go, and relax! The sky is intense- the owls are loud, and there is plenty to do within a short drive incase ya get cabin fever and want to get back into the world for some fun! Make sure to save some time to take a paddle on the canoe, kayaks, or paddleboard that we leave down at a nearby pond for you! 2 nights at Riverview cabin

This was a great cabin! Had everything we needed and kept us nice and warm through the night. Jamin was super helpful in showing us how to get to the cabin when we arrived in the dark. Did some fishing and was perfect for our two nights. We were there in mid November and were so grateful he kept the cabin running for us.

This was my first Hipcamp and it was great. The cabin had everything we needed and though it definitely got cold, as we were visiting in mid-November, a fire and plenty of blankets kept us warm through the nights. This is a lovely little camping and so peaceful!

4 nights at Graham Cracker Cabin and Campsites

Super helpful hosts and a nice Hipcamp. It is as advertised for the most part being a rustic cabin. We've stayed in many rustic cabins through Hipcamp. A few things to note: Even though there is a woodstove (we used every night to keep us warm) the cabin does not hold heat because the walls to the cabin have large gaps so we had to use 4 bundles of hardwood a night to keep it comfortable at night (temps in the 20° to mid 30°s) We were somewhat prepared because we knew it wasn't insulated but we were not expecting the amount of heat loss due to all the gaps in the cabin. There are other campsites on the property which are a good distance away (some within sight) We got a little freaked out by a group of campers walking up to the cabin at 10:30 at night and waking us up. (Definitely not the host's fault) but just be aware it's not the most secluded. Being in the cabin it was a little quieter but this spot is off a main road so there is a bit of noise from that but definitely not something that would completely deter me. The host was very helpful when we mentioned that we'd like to drive up to the cabin. They told us we were not able to do that (I'd just suggest taking that as an option off the listing because we chose this site in part because of that having 4wd) but they offered to help us bring our stuff with another wagon attached to the owners tractor which was very nice. The cabin is equipped with everything you would need for rustic camp: pots, pans, water, utensils.

Weekend Trip to Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond

Robert's cabin at Tilden Pond is a wonderfully secluded get away spot with a beautiful woods walk (15mins) to the pond. We were happy about being able to park next to the cabin for easy unloading of gear. We liked making meals over a camp stove we brought and at the fire pit to calls of loons and owls. We brought our own tent but opted to stay in the cabin on the cots provided, which were comfortable with our sleeping pads and bags. Our dog loved having the woods to romp in unleashed. The sunset at the pond was a highlight. On a future trip we hope to take advantage of the double kayak. We saw others kayaking, sailing, and fishing off in the distance. Robert has done a good job repairing the road recently but it is important to have a truck or vehicle with good clearance to drive in. We loved having both Belfast and Camden only minutes away.

Sweet little cabin in the woods! Jamin was super accommodating and even built an outside fire for us prior to arrival. More spacious than you might think for a small cabin. We opted not to use the generator but it was nice to have that option. We enjoyed staying here as a launch point for the weekend of the Common Ground fair just up the road in Unity. Felt very cozy and private. Could be great for a small group of people or just a couple like us.

The location was prime, about 100 yards of waterfront to enjoy, with sunny mornings and shady afternoons that were perfect for hanging out. Our two dogs had the best time. We’d absolutely come back!

I don’t think there’s anything that could have made my stay here any better. It was exactly what I was looking for- pond is beautiful and close, the cabin was clean, the whole stay was very quiet and felt secluded despite being really close to Belfast. There were more supplies than I expected too- I’m used to dispersed camping where I have to bring everything and was pleasantly surprised by how thoughtfully supplied it is. The host was wicked helpful, responsive, and friendly too, plus gave me helpful tips on hiking in the area. Bonus: saw lots of wildlife from the cabin and at the pond :) I’m jealous of how awesome the setup is, I’m going to just have to book it again in the future!

1 night at Balsam Hill Cabins

We loved Sienna’s sweet lodging in the woodsy glen, and stayed an extra day to enjoy it. She was responsive and helpful throughout our stay and has thought of every detail inside the cabin and around- the bed was very comfortable, the outdoor shower delightful and we kept the side lifted for most of the day. We will definitely return and are telling all our friends about this wonderful spot!
