Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include… Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping. This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy!

The space allows for two adults and two small children, anymore than that would be very tight. The cabin is insulated so the road traffic isn’t bad but it is noticeable at certain hours when the window is open. We have two composting toilet outhouses available for guests use that we take care of on a daily basis.Inside of our large greenhouse, there is a hot water outdoor semi-private shower, only biodegradable soap that we provide can be used. There is also a kitchen and seating area in the greenhouse with a propane grill, toaster oven, microwave and electric kettle and small coffee maker/French press. The greenhouse is a communal space that our family uses as a wood shop and greenhouse space so while the kitchen and shower area are kept clean and clear for guests, the rest of the greenhouse is a working space that can be in various states depending on what projects we have going on. Dogs are allowed but they need to be leashed due to our free ranging ducks and the closeness of the road. We can occasionally provide eggs and some veggies and herbs for tea for a small fee if it’s arranged in advance.We provide a fire pit and kindling but ask that you bring your own fire wood that has been purchased in the area so as not to bring in any new pests.The parking area is large enough if you want to bring a boat or trailer.Our spot is 3 miles from downtown Freeport and is located near a commuter road so it’s easy access to many spots.Freeport is a coastal town with two state parks, lots of great diverse trails which are well maintained and lots of restaurants/breweries. It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include… Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Dogs are allowed but they need to be leashed due to our free ranging ducks and the closeness of the road. It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

Perfect peaceful spot to relax and shut down. We didn't really need anything but we knew April was there if we did. There are a lot of little things April leaves in the cabin in case you forget anything which is appreciated. It is decorated so cute with little lights inside which I appreciated at night. The spot is gorgeous with the sound and sights of a brook and trees. What more could you ask for? Sitting by the fire watching the moon rise and sipping coffee with the sun rise was so enjoyable. We didn't bring our dogs but will in the future. A great spot for them. You are in nature and have total peace but with the security of knowing April is right there if needed and hiking and stores are close by if you need them. Highly recommend this spot.

My Wife, Fur Baby, and I stayed at Eben’s land for a weekend and had an Amazing Time!!! Let me start of by saying the host Eben was wonderful!!! He met us upon arrival and was so kind and friendly and welcoming. He goes out of his way to show you how things at the site work and truly makes sure you understand how to operate everything. He had given us a map of the property and showed us everything his land had to offer and asked us what exactly what we were looking to do. Upon us answering what it was we were looking to do his made suggestions to accommodate our needs. He made suggestions around the area that were dog friendly so we would be able to accommodate our fur baby as well. Which was very thoughtful! After we were all set with everything he left us to ourselves and what a beautiful peaceful place it is. We chose the following morning to take a hike around the property and were pleasantly pleased with all the Beautiful Views his property had to offer. There’s nothing better than lying on a hammock and looking at Mountain View’s of the Fall Foliage. It truly looked like views you would see in a book or a movie. They were truly breathtaking. It was so nice to see our fur baby run free in the wilderness and soak up all the new scents. He was in heaven. This place is relaxing, peaceful, and just what we needed to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle of Life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others and we will most certainly be back without a doubt.

My group arrived right before check in to pick site 4, which has a mini parking lot and is right next to the stream, and close to the outhouse. You can hear the highway, but it’s distant and quiet at night. Beautiful property and pathways; the site did have small tree/plant stumps that were easy to trip on so just watch your step.

We had a fantastic stay in Billy's camper last weekend when we were in the area to bike at Highland. We enjoyed it so much we're going back next week! His property is private with beautiful Mountain View's and the camper was spotless with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. He was an amazing host, even dropping off wood so we could make a fire in the evening. It felt more like a relaxing getaway than staying in a hotel like we usually do, and the camper had plenty of space for several adults to stay comfortably. He isn't kidding that you need four wheel drive to get up the steep driveway - but the views are worth it!

Megquier place as they used to call it. Built in 1775, Megquier farm was the first homestead in the town of New Gloucester. The house here is supposedly the oldest in New Gloucester. Situated on originally 60 now 30 acres of woodland, with trails of all sorts that weave through the property which is surrounded by mostly farmland and wooded terrain. The Megquier family who built the house had relations with local indigenous people trading cider from their orchard. They also were known to be rebellious towards English rule at the time and were involved in the local militia leading to the revolutionary war against English rule. Proof of which lies in some historic photos of family members dressed in militia uniform right in front of my house way back when. Furthermore, construction of the house itself violated the kings rule that no tree over two feet in diameter marked by the kings agents was to be harvested. However, the roof sheathing in the house are two feet wide at least. Interesting to review the history of mast landing in Freeport Maine, just a few miles away. More recent undocumented history of this property is just as interesting. I’m told that during the Vietnam war period, many people resided here in commune to resist the draft for that illegal war. They camped along what was once a pond here on a sunny hillside with towering Hemlock trees. Proof of which lies just under the ground such as old beer bottle and cans from that time as well as the rusted front end of an old International Harvester bus similar the one Ken Keasey and the merry pranksters drove around the US with. Pretty cool. I’m told that this place has a cool vibe to it, in the house and around the property. Hopefully I’m keeping that intact. After 7 years here I’ve created a network of trails for biking, skiing and exploring. I’ve carved out a nice high and dry hilltop camp with two 12’x12’ platforms and a composting outhouse. It’s situated on the most isolated area of the property. It’s quiet, private and gets great afternoon/evening light. Totally chill place to isolate. And mountain bike. There are approximately 7 kilometers of private bike trails to explore and more always being created. Very close to other local biking trial networks via some road sections or a quick shuttle to other trailheads. Also there’s a decent little sandy swimming hole a mile down the road. This camp is brand new this summer. I’m hoping to attract people who love mountain biking.Learn more about this land:Winter camping available. Private isolated campsite on 30 acres. Great bike trails. Wooded dry hilltop campsite with privacy and seclusion. I’ve constructed two 12’x12’ platforms at the top of the hill along with a custom built composting outhouse and huge stone fire pit. Bike down your choice of trails into my network right from the site. Park your vehicle in the field near the trailhead and hike in to the camp or bring your four wheel drive vehicle right to the site. Utility cart available. I will provide all the wood you need for a campfire. As well as a water source located at the field. Approximately 7 kilometers of trail and counting. Bring your dog so long as it is behaved. You’ll be able to bike directly from here all the way to Bradbury Mountain state park and back (about 3-4 hrs) or easily drive to multiple trail networks. Pineland Farms located 1 mile away. 15 minutes to Bradbury Mountain state park. 20 minutes to Freeport Maine and LL Bean. 30 minute drive to downtown Portland. 10 minute drive to the nearest store. You’ll be all by yourself out there but close enough to hear the road nearby. You may see people riding a bike down on the main trail but you’ll be all set on top of the camp hill. I’ve created this one awesome refined site. There’s a lot of room here and plenty of spots for primitive camping. Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions.

We have a farm store offering a variety of items for sale including eggs, honey, rubs and much more. There is a microwave available to the campers in the farm store as well. Each site will be given a bundle of fire wood on the house, additional wood is for sale. You are welcome to participate in farm work. Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any. 2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience. WELCOME BACK for 2026... 2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. Megquier place as they used to call it. Built in 1775, Megquier farm was the first homestead in the town of New Gloucester. The house here is supposedly the oldest in New Gloucester. Situated on originally 60 now 30 acres of woodland, with trails of all sorts that weave through the property which is surrounded by mostly farmland and wooded terrain. The Megquier family who built the house had relations with local indigenous people trading cider from their orchard. They also were known to be rebellious towards English rule at the time and were involved in the local militia leading to the revolutionary war against English rule. Proof of which lies in some historic photos of family members dressed in militia uniform right in front of my house way back when. Furthermore, construction of the house itself violated the kings rule that no tree over two feet in diameter marked by the kings agents was to be harvested. However, the roof sheathing in the house are two feet wide at least. Interesting to review the history of mast landing in Freeport Maine, just a few miles away. More recent undocumented history of this property is just as interesting. I’m told that during the Vietnam war period, many people resided here in commune to resist the draft for that illegal war. They camped along what was once a pond here on a sunny hillside with towering Hemlock trees. Proof of which lies just under the ground such as old beer bottle and cans from that time as well as the rusted front end of an old International Harvester bus similar the one Ken Keasey and the merry pranksters drove around the US with. Pretty cool. I’m told that this place has a cool vibe to it, in the house and around the property. Hopefully I’m keeping that intact. After 7 years here I’ve created a network of trails for biking, skiing and exploring. I’ve carved out a nice high and dry hilltop camp with two 12’x12’ platforms and a composting outhouse. It’s situated on the most isolated area of the property. It’s quiet, private and gets great afternoon/evening light. Totally chill place to isolate. And mountain bike. There are approximately 7 kilometers of private bike trails to explore and more always being created. Very close to other local biking trial networks via some road sections or a quick shuttle to other trailheads. Also there’s a decent little sandy swimming hole a mile down the road. This camp is brand new this summer. I’m hoping to attract people who love mountain biking.Learn more about this land:Winter camping available. Private isolated campsite on 30 acres. Great bike trails. Wooded dry hilltop campsite with privacy and seclusion. I’ve constructed two 12’x12’ platforms at the top of the hill along with a custom built composting outhouse and huge stone fire pit. Bike down your choice of trails into my network right from the site. Park your vehicle in the field near the trailhead and hike in to the camp or bring your four wheel drive vehicle right to the site. Utility cart available. I will provide all the wood you need for a campfire. As well as a water source located at the field. Approximately 7 kilometers of trail and counting. Bring your dog so long as it is behaved. You’ll be able to bike directly from here all the way to Bradbury Mountain state park and back (about 3-4 hrs) or easily drive to multiple trail networks. Pineland Farms located 1 mile away. 15 minutes to Bradbury Mountain state park. 20 minutes to Freeport Maine and LL Bean. 30 minute drive to downtown Portland. 10 minute drive to the nearest store. You’ll be all by yourself out there but close enough to hear the road nearby. You may see people riding a bike down on the main trail but you’ll be all set on top of the camp hill. I’ve created this one awesome refined site. There’s a lot of room here and plenty of spots for primitive camping. Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions.
