The Land Kindred

We had an amazing girls trip night in the yurt! Nicole was so helpful and responsive and the property was stunning. We met 2 of their super friendly dogs, one of whom accompanied us on a walk down to the brook! The yurt was incredibly cozy and we were lucky enough to get to see the first snow that night. We look forward to returning to the yurt again sometime!

This yurt was cozy. The bedding was lovely, the lighting, and heating options just right. It was my first “glamping” adventure and I cannot imagine a better experience. BEAUTIFUL woodlands, sunrises and sunsets. Would go back in a heartbeat ;)

A restorative venue for slumber

This was a beautiful, out of the way spot to pitch a tent for an evening—I wish that I had several more nights there! A calm and peaceful environment, Nicole and Elk have cultivated a lovely little place for nature immersion. It is also close to other destinations of interest, which makes it a great home-base for exploration. Finally, do yourself a favor: book the sauna while there. It was so relaxing! All and all a great visit!

My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend camping on Nicole’s land. My daughter had so much fun swimming and playing in the brook. It’s so peaceful and relaxing.

Thank you so much, Nicole! Everything was perfectly set up when I arrived at the site. The eggs were already on the table and all I had to do was make an omelette. Seeing the family dogs was such a joy and made the stay even better. I loved it so much, I had to extend my visit!

Secluded Relaxation

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Brook. We pretty much had the whole area to ourselves. We were able to relax and make use of the refreshing waters the Brook provided. It’s a great spot to cool off! Nicole was very responsive and helpful upon our arrival. Elk was even kind enough to help transport our gear to the site. Overall, The Land Kindred is a wonderful spot and we’ll certainly be returning in the future!

So lovely

I loved this Yurt so much. It was so beautiful and well maintained. The rest of the property is amazing! My husband and I only stayed one night and wish we could have stayed a week. I highly recommend staying at Nicole’s land.

just the right amount of rustic

I had a lovely weekend at the yurt. Even though it rained all weekend and I didn't get to enjoy the outdoors, the inside of the yurt was so nice we didn't care. comfortable bed. power but no running water and heat if you don't want to use the wood stove so it was just the right amount of rustic. theres a propane burner so you can cook inside and a sink with well water and a catch bucket. would recommend and would come back.

We loved glamping in the yurt! It ticked off all my boxes-not too far away, comfy bed & couch (we are NOT talking about a futon), electricity (refrigerator, lights and an iphone charger), inside bathroom, jugs of water, propane heater and stove top, and a woodstove! It was a very inviting space! There were conveniently placed clips to hook my hammock on-I learned that I was tying my hammock too low. Now I can easily exit it. Nicole answered all my questions promptly and Elk shared an amazing peach with us. The only downsides for us, the brook is down a pretty good hill and the communal space was being used by campers. The location is remote, but there is very early morning noise from traffic and a working business nearby.

The land was beautiful and peaceful and the location was great (close from Portland), there’s a beautiful river:) It was a little bit expensive but every camping option is in the same price range in the area. Would definitely go back!

Amazing place, if you want peace and comfort go to this. Near everything and easy to access. You got everything you want when you stay there. They have dog, but don’t worry they are really nice.

We really enjoyed staying at Nicole and Elk's yurt. It was spacious, clean and the bed and pillows were comfy. Beautiful land, guiet, gorgeous brook with deep pools to swim in. Nicole and Elk were quick to reply when we had questions or needed something.

Nicole responded really fast, the tent site was amazing, hearing the water nearby. Quite intimate, only 3 spots for tents and we were alone, we really appreciated and would 100% recommend!

We loved camping on Nicole’s land. Our site was right near the river so we could swim and relax on the shore as much as we wanted. It was enchanting. Plus, the directions to get there were very clear. 10/10 would recommend!
