I felt so safe and welcome staying with Holly!! I slept so well and got to Acadia the next day after about an hour and a half - two hour drive.

Campsite 5 - Avalon's Orchard

The farm was very lively! Had a fun time learning about the animals. Hosts were very friendly. Had a nice bonfire as well :)

We absolutely loved the solitude and the lady’s were lovely and welcoming. The farm itself is a work in progress. The Out House was clean ( but of course that’s not everyone’s idea of a “bathroom”), the spiket on the side of the house was also not usually people’s idea of a shower. A wider path with more planks up to the woodland site would be more helpful to pull the wagon. But all in all it is what we signed up for and would stay there again

A peaceful hobbit dream!

The folks at the farm were super kind and it was so incredibly peaceful there! We got to watch the baby highland cow get bottle fed which was such an awesome surprise! Very easy to access from Portland too! I highly recommend going to Elevensies too if you're there on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday!

Organic Farm and Highland Cows

Holly's farmstead hipcamp spot will be a place we will always have fond memories. Holly was very welcoming and accommodating showing us around when we arrived after dark. The night ski was beautiful and falling asleep to the sounds of nature was soothing. In the morning my teen son and I walked around the Farm and visited and watched the animal. It is a a spot where kids and adults can unplug from media and be immersed in nature.

This place was perfect! Truly a campers dream, the owners are welcoming and it is exactly as advertised on the app! I loved how quiet it was and secluded it felt! The farm animals added an extra dimension to the whole experience I really enjoyed waking up to them. The well water was amazing! Me and my friends had an awesome time camping here! The campsite was super quiet, and the farm was fun to be around. They sold us some amazing meat and veggies and we did a cookout our last night there. Everyone was super kind and the vibes were immaculate. It is important to keep in mind that the hosts run a working farm here, so being respectful of their time and keeping things quiet during quiet hours is important. Wasn't an issue for us, but just wanted to let future campers know. One of the fears I had while booking a campsite at a farm was that we would be disturbed by animals and farm stuff going on. That was 100% NOT the case for us. The campsites are super out of the way and tucked into corners of the farm. The farm itself is super pretty (think forest homestead, not cornfields)

What a great place. Friendly people, dogs, cows, chickens, pigs and gardens. Would absolutely stay here again! Keep in mind that it is a working farm, so respect the land and animals!

We loved camping on Holly’s farm! She gave us a tour of the farm and taught us about how they’ve grown the farm over the years and how much the community plays a part. Gorgeous camp grounds and kind people. Buy the sausages and cook them on the campfire!!!

My girlfriend and I stopped here for an overnight on our way up to Acadia. Holly was an incredible and informative host, and the farmhands were friendly and went above and beyond to give us a great experience. The Woodland Den was exactly as advertised, tucked away in the trees but a very quick walk to the bathroom. We loved being able to spend time with the animals, especially the pigs and the newborn piglets! I highly recommend this HipCamp to anyone who appreciates sustainability, community, and care for all living things. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

I loved camp site one, just enough privacy and close to all the animals. The owner are so sweet and we even got to feed the pigs. We got to see new born baby’s. Such a lovely and beautiful place. I highly recommend camping here

Staying at the hobbit hut was truly such a special magical experience! Our hosts have created such a beautiful place and were very helpful and kind. We were lucky enough to be there to see some baby piggies and watching the family of pigs was such a joy! We hope to visit again!

There was some difficulty with communication with host and was unable to find out before arrival if I needed to bring linens. The tent was very nice with very comfortable bed and lovely sheets and bedding. But would have REALLY appreciated a mown path to the site. The grass was high and with all of the crazy tick stuff going on, that was what I was thinking about coming and going. Host was thoughtful about their dogs, who were sweethearts. Would really make it clear that only water source is in an open chicken coop. You are weaving your way through lots of chickens to get to it. Not a concern to me, but could imagine it might bother some.

Holly is a great host. We felt welcome and at ease on her farm. We also enjoyed the drive to her camp site on the back roads of Maine. We were a short easy 20 minutes from Portland where we ate at Luke’s Lobster ($$$). We visited Yarmouth’s clam fest, Sandy Point for some beach time, and Clayton’s for yummy sandwiches. Holly’s sky filled with stars was one of the best parts of our trip. We would definitely return (if we lived closer).

We very much enjoyed our stay and visit in the Hobbit House at Tir na nOg farm. Such a unique structure on a beautiful farm location. Holly was an amazing host and shared lots of info with us on the farm history, the animals and flowers on the farm, etc.

We had an amazing stay! The farm is perfect, even more idyllic than it looks in the photos, and the tent and bed were roomy and comfortable. Holly was great and welcoming. The many animals on the farm were also fun. We really enjoyed the fire pit and made some good meals there. We will hopefully be back if we're in Maine again!

My friend and I had a great night at the Tir na nog Farm. The location was beautiful and very easy to navigate. We stayed in the bell tent which was set up lovely with a bed a small table, rug and extra bedding as well as some coffee and tea essentials for the morning. It was such a cool experience and the perfect 1 night camping trip since the tent part was all taken care of. Holly was such a welcoming host and gave us a tour upon arrival. My friend and I enjoyed visiting the highland cows, company of chickens and seeing the pigs. There was an option for a campfire at the campfire circle or a spot to set up your own camp stove. The out houses were clean and easy to get to. Thank you again for the lovely stay!
