The site has a small private pond surrounded by trees you can sit and relax near. You can (walk/bike/drive) the 1/4 mile down the dirt road to the public beach. Paddle out to the island and try the rope swing with one of our kayaks or canoes. Be sure to check out the bald eagles that live in the white pine tree just a little farther down the island. You will hear the loons during your stay and possibly see a mother with her babies on her back. There are also ducks and ducklings and geese with gosling paddling about the lake. The state stocks the lake with trout, splake, and salmon if you like to fish. There is plenty to do right here!

The 14 acres sets looking out over a bird sanctuary and the lake. Come and stay in a brand new tiny one bedroom home that can sleep up to four people. It might be small, but it loaded with everything you need. The house sits up high and looks out over the woodlands and the lake and bog. Down to the lake, you will find a canopy. There’s plenty of chairs. You can see the sun come up and go down. Its in a cove-shallow water full of lilies and other flowering plants and dragonflies. It’s a rare piece of property to be able to see the sunrises and sunsets. Welcome to country living on Sheepscot Pond and it’s over 1200 acres with every kind of fish! There’s over 6 miles of hiking on dirt roads you can bring your own four wheeler, dirtbike or side-by-side and have fun riding the roads. It’s year-round great for ice fishing snowmobile trails right out your door. You can get onto the ITS trails or come and snowshoe. It’s the best place to do photography! Note: Private, right-of-way to lake At Country Living Rental, you will walk down to the third driveway on the left, that is the entrance to the lake. This is your private area. No one else is to be there, except for you. Enjoy mother nature at its best.

Boomtown Rustic Camps is Nestled in the Foothills of Western Maine. This gem is located in the quiet woodlands on a dirt road where you can reconnect and rejuvenate. Your Stargazer Tent furnished with beds, linens. Outdoor kitchen for meal preps includes all essentials. Also, offered are Two Campsites located on the edge of the field where you can bring your own tent and camping gear. These two sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Shared Portable Toilet with outdoor hot shower. Water available, although non potable. There is no electricity on site. We are off the grid. Solar lights at night add to the ambiance.Feel free to explore the hiking trails on the 100 Acre property. This area is known for its wildlife. As you will see many different tracks, should you encounter our wildlife friends please allow them the space they deserve.Located approximately 40 minutes from Sugarloaf and Saddleback Mountains, these mountains offer magnificent views. Quill Hill has a spectacular 360 degree view where you can see for miles Visit Rangeley Lake to grab lunch and Browse the shops in town. Smalls Falls is breath taking offers another great spot for a picnic. Closer to home Porter Lake is a beautiful lake to Swim, Kayak, Canoe or Fish. This lake has an island which is home to Bald Eagles raising their young there. Eustis offers Flagstaff Lake, a popular spot for Kayakers. The lucky ones get a glimpse of a Moose.Maybe you prefer Biking or golfing in Carrabassett at Sugarloaf, hiking in Coos Canyon in Weld, Whitewater Rafting in the Forks Certain times of the year folks take tubes floating down the Sandy River. Our ATV trail is right out of the driveway heading up the dirt road. There is a lot to see and do in the area. . We look forward to meeting our guests, our new friends. Bring food, ice, clothing, extra blankets if you are one that gets chilled at night and of course some bug and tick repellent. Your site will be well stocked for comfort. Leashed pets allowed. Pet owners must clean up after their pets. Please be respectful of family space, gardens, and fruits. You pick raspberries may be available with permission. House is on the road, but not much traffic.

Weekend Trip to Trees of Life Retreat (ToLR)

My pup and I had a great time at ToLR. We had a hilarious greeting of turkeys and hens and then about 100 yards then to the right and we were there! The happy birds were a highlight each morning, the nuthatches were busy. The trails behind the woodshed were lovely and quiet. The cabin was so clean and so thoughtfully done. We didn’t want to leave and will for sure be back. Such a lovely and peaceful place.

I had the BEST two nights staying at the Bird’s Nest! It was so beautiful and cozy. The weather held out long enough to enjoy walking through the trails on the property, and building a fire in the wood stove was perfect for the rainy and chilly evening. Lisa is a wonderful host and put so much thought into everything one might need while staying here. I hope to be back again soon!

What an awesome spot! The Birds Nest doesn’t disappoint. The Nest sits on the same property as the owner but it’s far enough away that you can’t even see anything. Such a magical little cabin with an awesome wood stove that will keep you more than cozy. Everything was nice and clean/tidy….the outhouse was the same. Amazing location for hiking. World class fly fishing in the Carrabassett River not far away. Me and the ole girl and I can’t wait to come back!!

1 night at Magnificent View Blueberry Hilltop

Beautiful private place with a 360 view of the mountains! Completely impressed by the stone picnic table! The turn is a bit hidden so drive very slowly — we reached the top of the mountain and had to turn around because we went too far. I think the sign is a little hidden within the bushes. Otherwise, such a lovely stay! Would return!

New deck in 2022 and inviting Adirondack chairs make for a pleasant stay.

Lisa was amazing about communicating before and during my trip. She was also super helpful on directing me to the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The Brid's Nest was exactly as described, and. a fun cabin to stay in. It is a little bit of a walk up to the cabin, but there is a wagon to help load up your suitcases. Sunrise through the trees the next morning was absolutely beautiful along with my drive to my next destination. If you don't mind glamping without the extra fluff, I recommend staying here!

Awesome spot! Cheri was an excellent host and the spot is ~100ft from a creek. Pro tip: if you want to get to the main river faster, walk to the back of the meadow and down the embankment along the water. Much easier if the water is low.

Weekend Trip to Maine Christmas Tree Farm

my husband and i camped at the christmas tree farm for 2 nights while going to the common ground fair. it was convenient to be so close, and we had a lot of privacy and space. we enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner on our little stove top at the picnic table on top of this hill with a beautiful view of the fields and mountains. the sunrises and sunsets were absolutely divine and we slept under a bright blanket of stars! jesse was incredibly accommodating and helpful, while also giving us space to relax and enjoy our stay. our only challenge was finding a flat place to camp, but by the second night we found a spot that suited us well. i'd recommend arriving before nightfall to pick out an ideal flat camping spot if you're tent camping. cheers!
