Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Please pick up after them. We are a short driving distance from West Liberty, Cave Run Lake, Grayson Lake, Carter Caves, Morehead, Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. We are approximately 20 minutes from the nearest store so you'll want to come prepared. We are located in West Liberty (Morgan County). There are 2 centrally located bathhouses with toilet, shower and sink and a hose for potable water. We have firewood for sale for $20 per stay and is an extra option when booking(use what you need during your stay and it is centrally located near bath houses) you can bring your own and you are welcome to gather from the surrounding area but please do not cut down any living trees/limbs. There is a centrally located community building with a Wifi hotspot, streaming TV, Keurig, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster/air fryer, swing set, foosball table and darts.

There is also an outdoor shower on the property just a short walk away, down behind the host's garage, that features hot water. A great place to relax and detach from the stress of society for a few days, or hike, hunt, or head over to Cave Run Lake for some fishing. Tranquility and peace await you here.

Our seasonal bath house is generally open from April or May to October or November based on the prevailing temps. There are 4 flush toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 hot showers. The floors are concrete so we recommend shower shoes and you'll want to bring your own towels and shampoo/soap. The farm has a small playground, yard games, creeks, and a steep and rugged hiking trail that loops the mountain. We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge. For other activities, restaurants, shopping, music, and more, we're happy to share our favorites, but highly recommend checking out the Berea Tourism website.

On the trails you will find many species of vegetation and natural resources, which range from easy, moderate to strenuous, distances vary, short hikes take minutes. A few hikes take longer and have more strenuous terrain. There are native trees, which includes Tulip Poplar, (the Kentucky state tree), giant oaks (hundreds of years old), several variety of pine trees, holly, hemlock, beech, ironwood, sassafras, box elder and maple. Take a walk, take pictures and bring a picnic lunch. In the summer there are beautiful flowering goldenrod, and many pollinators and addition forest wildflowers all year. These pollinator magnets definitely lure numerous birds and insects for your viewing pleasure. There are beautiful rock ledges to enjoy as well. CAMPSITES: #1 The RV campsite is easily accessed from the highway and includes water, electricity, septic dump station, shower, restroom and high speed internet. Cross over the bridge, entrance is limited to shorter trailers under 30 feet. Turn left and cross over a small creek and arrive at your site. Park in the designated area. Video surveillance is on site. Two sites are available on a scenic overlook with an outdoor toilet nearby. Site #2 has a furnished Whiteduck 16' bell tent and site #3 is a rustic area and your choice of spot. Stop in after a day on the trails, cliffs or Cave Run lake in the area. Red River Rewind is a small glamping community that is themed off of the owner’s passion for different genre music, vintage, antique history and memorabilia. Currently still a work in progress, we offer a customized bell tent which sits on a 20 x 30 platform deck, with a customized, insulated, fully functioning outhouse which has a shower, commode, and sink that allows endless hot water. “Elvira” is our cozy small cabin. Both have electricity, and water, and full bathroom accessibility at their own site. “Hey Jude” also offers a small wood burning stove to accommodate for cooler temperatures with an Eden pure heater, and fans for warmer weather days, and mobile AC. ELVIRA has a window AC unit and heating with small unit. The customized fully furnished bathroom just steps away from the tent, offers endless hot water. There is also a water spicket just a few steps away from the deck. Note that should the wood stove want to be used, guests need to supply their own SMALL pieces of wood as it is a miniature fireplace. The cabin will be designed with a mini split heating and air system, in the future. WiFi is not currently available though an amenity that is upcoming in the very near future, fiber internet being installed mid July 2025. Cell phone access is good in our area typically. Red River Rewind has common shared amenities to include: a 3/4 acre fully stocked pond which is available for simply viewing its beauty as the fountain flows, or catch and release fishing as seasonally available, many family and friend oriented activities to choose from to check out and return such as cornhole, large checkers, and many more. As time and weather permits, we plan to expand with really neat projects and extras in upcoming months, and would love to have visitors passing through our beautiful area who need or want a place to stay or locals who just want a little change of scenery. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our stay. Everything was so well thought out, from the adorable interior decor to the sitting area outside the camper which we made great use out of. The camper seats conveniently convert into a bed and was the perfect amount of space for the two of us. The views are breathtaking and perfect for enjoying by the fire pit outside. Natalie was super attentive and came to our rescue anytime we needed anything. We were sure to stop by the Cookie Jukebox for a sweet delicious treat. Weekend Trip to Backwoods Hideaway

If you're looking to get away, unplugged, reset this is the place. Absolutely beautiful, tucked away in a holler. First thing we all noticed was the thought the host put into our stay. It was put together in a way even the kids wanted to leave it the way we found it. When they say all you need is your favorite pillow or blanket, they mean it. The host was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Very respectful as far as privacy. Also, more than willing to offer assistance if asked. Sitting next to the fire, listening to the creek flowing, the fireflies, the sounds of the whippoorwill, it all made for a whimsical stay. One which we will plan again.

Cozy and secluded little cabin was a perfect stay for the night while passing through. Heard owls at night and woke up to bird song in the morning. The provided generator was a nice touch, though we didn’t end up using it.

Weekend Trip to Possum Ridge Ranch

This is our second time booking at Possum Ridge Ranch! We booked the Hillside Cabin last minute on a trip to the red, which I might add was great after an all-day brutal hike! Couple things I'll point out. The bed was comfortable and there were a grill, mini fridge, and microwave. As a back packer and usual tent camper this made meals, quick and easy. Theres a small portable A/C and a small heater to use which we did and tv tray style tables to eat at inside if needed. Very accommodating!! The bath house is a blessing and very clean. We have come by ourselves and the first time with our four children, cannot say enough great things about this hipcamp. The trails are pretty, the views are great, its peaceful, relaxing, and a reminder of simpler times. You'll love the stay I promise. We already have a future date booked for July 4th for the 250th USA camping trip with our children.

$50, before fees. That's what this cost. I've paid upwards of $200 for other accommodations that are equivalent.

Weekend Trip to Whimsical Treehouses and Trails!!

This was a great place to camp with our six and a half year old! We can’t normally get him to hike very far but there were so many fun swings and slides along the way that he was really engaged and ended up doing almost 4miles with us! The new patio on the hickory tree house was a perfect family gathering spot for uno and charades. Our best family vacation yet. Be sure to pack some easy on/off shoes with good tread! It can be a little slick between the cabin and outhouse - crocs won’t cut it if it’s wet out.

Great spot, clean bathhouse and bathrooms. We had three adult men sleep in a small cabin comfortably. We were on motorcycles and found plenty of spots to eat a short ride away.
