Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Please pick up after them. We are a short driving distance from West Liberty, Cave Run Lake, Grayson Lake, Carter Caves, Morehead, Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. We are approximately 20 minutes from the nearest store so you'll want to come prepared. We are located in West Liberty (Morgan County). There are 2 centrally located bathhouses with toilet, shower and sink and a hose for potable water. I loved staying at this site and Bridgett was such a good host! I originally went to car camp for a few days and unfortunately it rained the first 2 days, Bridgett offered me to switch to the cabin and I was beyond grateful! Instead of being stuck inside my car all day I was able to enjoy the cabin by the lake, it was so cozy and I got to watch the rain on the lake from the covered porch, which was just magical. Despite the rain I had a great time and the property is beautiful! Bridgett is a great host and went above and beyond for my stay here.

Our group included a set of grandparents and a family of 4 with two toddlers. This was a private campground in a quiet area. Some campsites had electrical outlets that were not compatible with our setup, but we located ones that were. There was a play area for the kids with a bit of play equipment suitable for different age groups, and a horseshoe pit. The resident dogs were friendly and visited our sites each morning. The owner was friendly and helpful and made sure we were settled in and had what we needed. If you are looking for a quiet out-of-the-way campsite, not too many frills but all you need for a fun camping experience, as opposed to more modern, bustling camping experience, then this quaint campground is for you!

We loved staying at Dave’s land. The RV site had everything we needed for our stay. We arrived in our class A Winnebago 25’. Campers should be aware the roads leading to the campground are narrow, winding, steep and not well marked. The stone drive way into the camp is narrow, steep (downhill) and bumpy. Other than these few shortfalls, we had a good experience for your days. Thanks go to the owners for keeping the campgrounds clean, well laid out, and private.

We had an incredible time staying on this property on the Peachtree lot. Liz is an amazing host! She couldn't have been more accommodating and kind. She has the cleanest and homeiest feeling bath houses we've ever used at a campsite. There is even a little community hangout area with vending machines, a microwave, coffee, ice bags, a foosball table, and some other little conveniences. As for getting to the ranch, it was straightforward. Google brought us right to her road and following her directions took us right to our lot with no issues. They have nice signs guiding you all along the way and everything's easy to make out. The drive itself is absolutely gorgeous out to her place and the ranch itself is peaceful and full of unexpected surprises. Liz told us about lots of places and things we could explore on the ranch and she also mentioned Hell's hole. If you are up to the challenge, take the hike down hell's hole and see if you can make it down to the river. It's unbelievable what some people have right in their backyard, and the fact that Liz shares it with us is such an awesome gift. I brought my 8-month-old puppy along and he had the time of his life chasing and sniffing everything he could out on her property. We will definitely be back sometime to check out more of the Red River gorge area and more of the possum ridge ranch itself. Plus it's just beautiful driving through that area. Thanks Liz!!

Possum Ridge Ranch was even better than advertised! Liz was a great host. There was a central bath house and community center was awesome! Where to go

Central Red River Gorge

Follow the 46-mile Red River Gorge Scenic Byway for spectacular views across the gorge, admire the unique rock formations and natural arches along the Angel Window or Sheltowee trails, or put your rock climbing and rappelling skills to the test. Koomer Ridge campground is the only developed campground in the main gorge area, but you’ll also find private campgrounds, cabins, yurts, and treehouses with views of the gorge.

Northwest & Daniel Boone

The 900-foot-long Nada Tunnel marks the western entrance to the Red River Gorge, and some of the most renowned rock formations and arches can be found nearby. Further north, the Daniel Boone National Forest is nirvana for hikers, and self-sufficient campers can enjoy dispersed camping throughout the national forest land. Or, for a change of scenery, head away from the gorge to enjoy boating, fishing, and lakeside camping at Cave Run Lake.

Southwest & Natural Bridge

The Natural Bridge State Resort Park encompasses much of the southwestern region of the Red River Gorge, where you’ll find some of the most easily accessible hikes and campgrounds. Hike or ride the Skylift to the park’s namesake Natural Bridge, rent a kayak or canoe along the river, then check in one of the campgrounds or rent a cozy cottage. Nearby, Muir Valley is a popular spot for rock climbing, while Campton is the starting point for ziplining excursions across the gorge.

East & Clifty Wilderness

If you’re looking to escape the crowds, pack your tent and hit the trails of the vast Clifty Wilderness area. Dense forests, rugged ridges, and streams provide plenty of tranquil backcountry camping spots, or you can bring your kayak or canoe to paddle the wild waterways of the Red River. In the southeastern corner of the gorge, the Rock Bridge Trail is a perennial favorite, with views of the natural bridge and waterfall.
