We have almost 200 acres of beautiful country surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest in Rockcastle County. With a mile of river to swim, kayak, and fish and enchanted forest trails to hike, climb, or play, we have all of the best Kentucky has to offer! We have more established sites with fire rings, or you can find a place off the beaten path for more privacy, if you choose. The riverside is perfect for hammock camping, too.
We love music and often host bands on the weekends. We rent kayaks and run shuttle on site, as well.
While there are almost 200 acres to escape into, on any fine night, the stage sits wit a drum kit and the will to make music within the Daniel Boone National Forest. Come play, come get away....we have it ALL!

Roaring Shoals is a family farm. This campsite is a double capacity with full hookup, located in a rural community halfway between Jackson and Salyersville on Highway 30 East. The site is close to the road; however there is much woodland to explore located on the property. We have small waterfall and a natural rock formation that can be hiked to. There is a shoal a very short walk from the campsite that is a wonderful place to enjoy the creek! There is great cellular service if your device uses Verizon towers, as there is a tower on the property. This is the perfect place to come and relax if you are visiting the area. It is approximately 12 miles from a small town with local restaurants and convenience stores. Our farm raised , dry aged black angus beef can be purchased if available; please check availability by calling a few days prior to your stay. You may also purchase firewood that was harvested from our property which is a certified tree farm. Our cattle are raised on another of our properties located a few miles up the road. We would be happy to schedule a time to take you there to see where they are born and raised.

This is the cleanest, safest, neatest, coolest camp I have ever stayed at. The amenities and time taken to make sure comforts and extras were in place was an Exceptional Effort and Much Appreciated. Fire ring, table, and space is a given...how about a swing, games, covered area for Rv and/or tent, full bathroom and shower setup, wood supply, kitchen table and grill, WATER AND ELECTRIC provided! Hammocks and dog runner...lost of apace! Superb!
Close enough to The Red River Gorge area and LOTS of hiking and adventure to be had.
Cannot give enough Thumbs Ups! Amazing! Already planning another trip in the fall!

I really enjoyed staying at this location. I went with my two dogs; Zuko and Tsavo. My boys absolutely loved the place. I was nervous at first because it was my second solo camping trip however the hosts were very responsive! The site was clean, easy to find, and I felt off grid- yet also reassured that there were others close by if I needed something. I seen two different types of owls! One was a barred owl and the other (who was as nosey about me as I was about them) was an Eastern Screech owl. I enjoyed listening to both species at night, they were very social and probably suspicious of me and my dogs. I enjoyed swinging by the firepit and reading my book. It was a much needed trip! Thank you both for sharing your space!

This is a beautiful, well maintained park geared towards those travelling with horses, but still welcoming to those of us without. New, very clean, private showers/bathrooms. Miles of trails to hike (be mindful of riders and give them the right of way please). My favorite hike was to a big cave. Easy access into London for laundry, groceries, and fuel. Peaceful and quiet. Wonderful place!

This was our very first experience with hipcamp and it was a fantastic one. Cristhian and Christy had everything perfectly set up and provided all you need for a great peaceful camping trip.... Beautiful area, tons of things to do in nature, and the campground was very private and quaint. Jamie and his family are wonderful people and I would definitely recommend staying here.

My family loved the campground, everything is well laid out and a lot of care has been taken with the structures and campsites. All sites are well spaced apart. The playground is really neat and bathroom facilities were very clean. There have been campers that haven't been respectful to the property so be careful of broken glass around some rv sites. Bring bug spray!

Savvy's Retreat was a fantastic campsite! It's well thought-out by campers for campers. The half bath was super handy when cooking outside and would be great if you had people visiting. There were plenty of outlets and lights in the shelter. Both the shelter and trees provided plenty of summer shade. The dog run was great to have, and they even had 3 tie-outs available! We travel with 3 larger dogs that like to bark at people, so crowded campgrounds are stressful for all of us. This setup allowed us all to relax outside together. Christian and Christy were on top of communication. This was truly a pleasant and well-thought-out space

We loved the set up! Had water, electric, sewer and bathroom. Plus many extras, large fire pit and swing, card and board games plus in a very quiet rural area. It was close to Berea, Kentucky to hike The Pinnacles, Indian Fort Trail to Eagles Nest and Buzzard Landing with breath taking views when you get to the top. Grab a pizza at Apollo Pizza in Berea. Very tasty. Flat Lick Falls near McKee was constantly flowing. Pretty water hole that’s clear with some swimmers. Easy site to pull out and leave. The owners are attentive with any questions and maintain their cool with care. We will definitely be back

Overall, we had a great stay at Cedar Springs at Serenity Camp. The surrounding farmland was beautiful and made for a really scenic setting. I was a bit surprised by how close the site was to the highway, so it wasn’t quite as peaceful and private as I personally prefer. We had a few minor setup issues, but the owner was helpful, came out to assist us, and got everything worked out. Despite that, I would definitely stay here again.

We had an incredible one-week stay here and could not have picked a better place. This site has everything you need and more, and the hosts were always available and quick to respond to any messages. We rarely saw anyone but did get a chance to meet a few neighbors who were so very nice to chat with! We hope to return here soon!
