The site was nice, well-kept and having full-hook-ups and a trash container was great! Upon arrival we were welcomed by the hosts son and dog. My mixed feelings are not due to the host or the site, its due to the directions to the site; directions need to be provided from a State Highway. Our GPS (and even the GPS from the HipCamp app) brought us approximately 10 miles on a rural narrow gravel road. Being unfamiliar with the area this gave a sense of being very remote. Once we got onto the State Highway it was fine.

Rushing River RV/Camping Site
We loved staying at the rushing river rv site. Very clean, very spacious, kind hosts. Even though it isn’t secluded, it still felt private. The field and sunsets were beautiful, it was a great place to visit the red river gorge area from. Merle(?) the dog is definitely a character!

Very nice and relaxing place, beautiful almost mountains and the hosts were fantastic. It felt very private but not alone. There are several houses on the property. So there were people if you needed them. Also an interesting little town. I will be going back with my wife for sure. Natural bridge is 15 miles away and town is 10 minutes but it doesn’t feel like it. The hookups are in great shape and the lot is easy to get in and out of. Best part was the neighborhood Labrador who was very playful and sweet. Didn’t catch his name, but he tried to steal my water bottle, then the chocks for my camper, and finally some of my firewood. Then he noticed I was cooking pork chops and became very well behaved. LOL. He had to come back for breakfast and say goodbye. Gassiest dog I’ve seen in a long time and well behaved.

We had a wonderful visit! It was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed petting their goats and turkeys and explored a bit of their hiking paths. The hosts were extremely accommodating and helpful. Good southern hospitality at its finest. We will be back!

We loved our stay at Rushing River- beautiful view, full hook ups, and the best Wi-Fi we’ve ever experienced while camping! We were able to stream TV, and use two devices with excellent strength. Kevin was extremely helpful when we arrived, and we loved the dogs who came to visit!

A friend and I made plans for a quick last minute trip to the Red River Gorge area of KY and we're quite happy to find a site here. The site was clean and the view was beautiful! It was easy to follow the directions from Cassie that led to our campsite. Cassie and her hubby were so sweet and welcoming and my friend and I Loved the puppy greeting committee! I would definitely recommend this site to someone looking for full hookups and lots of wide open space to yourself!

Our stay exceeded expectations in every way! Easy to get in and situated, and the property had everything we could hope for. Nice trees, great brand new hookups, and lots of open land for our boys to play! We were even greeted by some friendly dogs that our boys loved and were sad to leave… the night sky was spectacular, almost zero light pollution, and was able to see amazing stars with the naked eye and captured some amazing images with my telescope also! Would absolutely stay with this host again! Super friendly and accommodating, made sure we had everything we needed, offered to help set up our camper, etc. thanks so much!
