The site is located on a land peninsula next to a small spring fed pond. Although private, surrounded by trees, it is a very convenient location on hwy 68, 3 miles East of Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky.
There is a 50 amp outlet available near the gravel pad. We have a 30’ cord available. Water is available. This is a single private site. No other campers at this location. We have an antique store 125’ away that is open to the public once per month and hosts occasional creative classes. The store cannot be seen from the camp site so you will enjoy complete privacy. Also note there is a paved bike trail across the highway so easy access for bicyclists. The pond is stocked with bass and blue gill for a photo op and release.

Thirteen years ago my best friend and I started a canoe and kayak company to allow people to experience the same things that we experienced as children.
We have met thousands of people and had opportunities to become friends with many of them.
We look forward to seeing them every year.
Six years ago we were able to purchase this piece of property for the kayak company and watch it grow into more than we ever thought it would be.

The property features a variety of thriving wildlife due to our fresh water stream that gently flows through the property year round. The stream is roughly ankle to hip deep depending on the area. The water is crystal clear and safe to play in if you have little ones. Walk along the stream and discover all kinds of fish, turtles, beautiful river stones and possibly see a beaver or 2. If you have Archery equipment, you can use our Archery Range.
The property is split by a 2 lane road. 7 acres to the North and 33 acres to the South. The smaller side is flat with many trails, fresh water stream and a gravel road. It features relatively junior trees and is home to a family of Whitetail Deer. The Southern side of the property features a mature hardwood forest full of giant white oak trees. Be sure to put on your hiking boots though, because there's a few Hills to climb. Three hills that form a beautiful valley in the center, with another fresh waterstream. The valley was once home to a 1700s settlement, so you may find some artifacts. (We just ask that you leave them where you find them.) Main trails are marked clearly with large reflectors for safety. With the near-by wildlife refuge you are sure to see and hear a variety of wildlife.
We have large steel firepits in every campsite. So feel free to bring your own firewood! Enjoy a good book or nap while relaxing in a hammock. Swing with a loved one while over looking the fresh water stream. Walk down along the stream and collect rocks, feed the fish, or go for a dip! Currently our property is very Primative, whichever there is no electricity or plumbing. We do offer clean composting toilets & a locking gate at night for your security.

Boondocks Campground is a quiet, wooded retreat on a well-maintained gravel road in the rolling hardwood hills of Stewart County, Tennessee. We offer multiple RV and tent sites with plenty of distance between them—no hookups, no utilities, no crowds. Just you, your rig, and the woods. If you're self-contained and looking to unplug, this is your spot.
Site 1 measures 15 x 60 ft, Site 2 is 18 x 45 ft, and future Site 3 will be 18 x 40 ft, each with its own fire ring and plenty of privacy. There's extra room for boats, trailers, and whatever toys you're hauling to the lake. When you feel like company, a communal fire pit in the roundabout makes a natural gathering place—that's where the evening stories tend to happen. We keep firewood on hand for purchase, so the campfire never has to go out early.
Fair warning: this is genuine boondocking. You bring your own water, power, and waste setup, and in exchange, you get shade, birdsong, and a night sky the way it looked before streetlights. Quiet inverter generators are welcome, and quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m. Cell service reaches this area, but just barely—most guests decide that's the point.
The lake is the other half of the story. A public boat ramp on Lake Barkley sits just half a mile away, with several more ramps nearby. Kentucky Lake and Land Between the Lakes are also just a short drive away. Fish in the morning, ride the LBL trails in the afternoon, and return to the woods at night.
Leashed pets are welcome.

Although there are no showers available to campers/guests, I can provide a large washing jug.
Plenty of hiking is available at LBL, just 8 miles away. I can provide intel on good fishing and backcountry spots. There is fantastic antiquing and thrifting in Cadiz and Murray, and I can introduce you to the Amish market for the most affordable groceries you've ever bought in your life.
I love to cook for people especially if it's a group. It'll usually be vegan chili con carne and skillet cornbread, Korean chajangmen, or some tasty variety of Asian seasoned vegetable soup with homemade bread. I am ovo-lacto vegetarian except in cases of hunting guests offering their own catfish, bass, venison, boar or turkey, in which case I fire up the bbq and get busy, because hunters are essential for environmental preservation. The fire ring is available for traditional cast iron cooking.
Dogs under 50 lbs are welcome if they're trained, you clean up after them, keep them leashed around guests and kenneled at night. I have 2 small dogs and I can kennel them on request.

We have five camp sites meandering up the hill.
1. Long Table. Our closest site with a parking for two cars, and cozy and shaded hang out area with the Long Table.
2. The Gathering Place. Our most developed site. Built out with a 20 ft octagon deck and tucked just behind the tree line, this special spot has two conjoined circles with the deck leading to a fire area with low benches, a cedar table and log-round seats. Room for 1 car. Parking is on a slight incline.
3. The Landing. A cozy round landing to relax into. Near-flat parking for 1. This is our smallest campsite, a great companion site if camping at the Gathering Place with friends. With easy access to our ever expanding trail network this site is best suited for a smaller tent, car or truck camping.
4. Bobcat. Our favorite place to camp on the land. This campsite is at a crossroads with multiple trail access points. Bobcat landing was carved out of peach red soil with the intention of having an ideal campsite. This site has one large area suitable for 1-2 vehicles, also suitable for car / truck camping 4x4 suggested if its been raining, but our Honda Odyssey frequently makes the climb.
5. Azalea. Close to the highest elevation of the property, this is a quiet place to watch a tree framed night sky. Flat parking for 1 - 2 vehicles, suitable for car or truck camping, 4x4 suggested but not required.

Quiet, lush and lovely. Attention to all the little details make this site a true delight! Flat back-in gravel site. Full service site. Fits our 38 foot TT well! The roads into the sight are a little tight for our 105" wide. Okay with caution. Great place for dogs including walking trails and a large field to be off leash. Owners met us upon arrival to ensure we landed well and were incredibly kind even providing a care package including trail map and biscuits for the dogs! Five stars out of five only because we can't give six!!!

We absolutely loved our stay here on Ditte and Stan’s farm. They are so incredibly welcoming, kind, and generous. It felt like home from the minute we pulled in. Amazing sunsets, fireflies, wildlife, nature trails, it has it all here! It’s quiet, serene, and private. It’s in a great area, close enough to town but still in the country. We will absolutely continue to come back here anytime we are in the area.

This is a nice, quiet, well maintained campground right on the water. It’s off the beaten path a little bit but the drive in is pretty. Our camp site was nice and level. The bathrooms and showers are nothing special but very clean and well functioning. There’s a nice little dog park also. The people were friendly and very accommodating

We absolutely stumbled onto a hidden gem with this HipCamp stay. The property was peaceful, beautiful, and felt like something straight out of a storybook. Huge wooded trails, wildlife everywhere, quiet campsites, and the sweetest screened-in sitting area with fresh flowers waiting for us when we arrived.
But what truly made this place unforgettable was the host, Ditte. She went above and beyond in every possible way. We were welcomed with a thoughtful gift bag that included homemade elderflower jam, fire starters, dog treats for our pup, and a hand-drawn map of the entire 50-acre property with trails marked out. She even brought us fresh eggs for breakfast!
The trails were gorgeous and clearly loved and cared for. We saw peacocks, toads, peaceful forest paths, and little signs throughout the woods that made the whole experience feel magical and personal. It honestly felt less like renting a campsite and more like being welcomed onto someone’s little slice of paradise.

Loved our stay at Hidden Timbers Homestead/Shady Slip site. Lauren is a terrific host. After being on the road, the showers are an oasis. Got some great tips on the best local resources, including Beck's coffee which is the best. Great place, beautiful area.

We enjoyed staying on Lauren’s land! It was super cute & the owner was great & helped us back into our site! We had full hookups, picnic table & a campfire pit. There were also hot showers on site. Would recommend Lauren’s land!

The location was clean, organized and inviting. There was plenty for my kids to do; a swing and hammocks near our camper kept them occupied. The cats on the site gave my fiancé the animal fix she was craving, and all the connections for my camper were available. I like to have a bonfire when I’m camping, not just for the sake of a fire, but I also use it for cooking. Despite the site not having a fire ring, they were gracious enough to move a metal fire pit over so I could have a fire. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a great place to camp!

I've been using Hip Camp for two years, and this was by far the most beautiful place I've stayed. I was met by the hosts who helped me back in and make sure everything was ready for me. Perfect level pad with full hook-ups. Only 2 sites, and I was the only one there. Very peaceful with a really pretty forest with trails behind my site. I highly recommend this location. I hope to come back someday!
