Weekend Trip to Patrick's Point River Camp

We had an amazing time at Patrick’s! The entire time we were there the hospitality was fantastic! The camp was clean and the host was friendly and helpful! The area was beautiful! When though it rained the whole time, out memories could never be drowned out. We were able to find hundreds of free fishing bait (night crawlers) along the bank!

What a wonderful way to begin summer camp season! We stayed with our dog at Don's Watch and adored waking with the sunny riverbank each morning, yet covered by harsh rays with comforting tree coverage. Amber's genuine knack for hospitality and friendly spirit made us feel right at home. Got to meet the sweetest pregnant Jersey cow named Journey on our final night at dusk, which is just one of the many experiences you can add on to your stay. We chose this site in particular for our annual roadtrip for the simple luxuries of nature, kindness and the enjoyment of taking time to simply "be". We can't wait to come back again with friends and family! 🏕🥾🎣🌄

The views alongside the river were beautiful. However the road leading to the camp sites was atrocious. It needs some attention. I would not recommend going there during or after heavy rain. Amber did warn me about the conditions after I had booked. Do your homework before booking or call Amber.

3 nights at Patrick's Point River Camp

We camped here this past weekend, and even with nonstop rain, it was one of the best tent camping experiences I’ve had. Angelica greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. The ground was very soggy from the weather, and since we were tent camping, our original riverside spot wasn’t practical. Thankfully, the hosts quickly offered a great alternative. It was just me, my teenage son, and my adult son, and we arrived later than planned. Angelica and Patrick gave us great dinner recommendations, and Patrick also shared helpful tips on local fishing and things to do. When the rain got worse, he moved us again to a drier, more solid area so we didn’t have to worry about mud or getting stuck. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, and the bathrooms and showers were spotless. Even with less-than-ideal weather, we had a great experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Plantasia Homestead at Anglin Falls

Great experience! We had an amazing time camping on Phil's property. Even though there was some rain we remained dry because of the well-built tent platform. Phil and his family were very nice and welcoming. We were also able to do some nearby canoeing and hiking in the area. I definitely recommend checking it out.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Patricks Point. Great location for a secluded spot on the Cumberland river. Dennis and Angelica go out of there way to make sure you have everything you want or need. There is a huge pavilion that would make a great get together for friends and/or family. If you are looking for something unique, and of the beaten path, you will enjoy this place.

Great place for RV camping that doesn’t feel like a state park or huge facility. Lots of good tent, camping spots away from the RVs too. We had a great weekend.

Me and my husband loved staying here! It was very peaceful and quiet. Amber was a great host and very informative about local attractions and things we could check out around the campground. We loved feeding the animals and seeing all the cats!

Weekend Trip to Plantasia Homestead at Anglin Falls

We had a fantastic stay at the private campsite on Plantasia Homestead. Phil, the owner, was welcoming and respectful of our space. The site itself was peaceful and well-thought-out—plenty of trees for our four hammocks, and the tent platform made a great spot to set up a table for board games in the evenings. One of the highlights was having access to fresh spring water and a sink—rare perks that made a big difference. We also really enjoyed seeing and hearing the ducks around the property, which added to the charm. Despite being close to the main house, we still felt a strong sense of privacy. The nearby hiking trail to the waterfall was a short and easy walk from camp, making it a perfect location for nature lovers. And we have to mention: the outhouse was the nicest and cleanest we’ve ever used—seriously impressive. We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet, well-equipped place to relax and enjoy nature.

Emma’s land is so beautiful! She was our late night hero as we had difficulty finding a place to stay (unexpected campground closures along the way). She was responsive and friendly - making sure we knew exactly where to go. Sleeping under the stars with the gentle flow of the nearby creek and waking up to beautiful birdsongs and frog choruses was a lovely reset along our traveling way. There was also a clean toilet space we could use. Excited for Emma’s hopes to keep transforming the space! Until then, if you need to park your truck with your popup tent or pitch a tent for the night, this is a lovely spot!!

We stayed one night at Hippie Holler and loved the super peaceful, secluded, laid-back feel.. Definitely recommend a 4WD tho to get in and out., especially if raining.

Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Much of the timber on the place is nearly 100 years old hardwoods, with a couple of fields throughout. I camp here myself too, and can recommend it for privacy! Learn more about this land: You can park an RV or trailer on these private sites within a 10min drive or short walk to Laurel Lake! Gravel roads to a field capable of holding up to two trailers with more planned in time! Primitive sites, Quiet n private. These sites are also within 10 mi of both London and Corbin Ky, with services available at both. Scenic Cumberland Falls is a short 25 min drive, and this place is adjacent to the Daniel Boone National Forest with plenty of hiking nearby.

Vehicles can be parked on the 25 ft stretch of grass pad above the campsite, or pulled down the hill … (please note the word HILL) onto site at vehicle owners' discretion. Fire pit is on premise and ready for use with a walking trail to the water. Kayaks are available for rental to navigate Cherokee Lake. Trees surround you full of wild rabbits, birds and squirrels. Down at the water about 50 ft from your site you have the availability to fish, wade in the water, Kayak, or sit and watch the ducks, geese, turtles and more. This is a private drive but has four sites so please respect other tenants who have come to enjoy seclusion and serenity during their stay. We are in a rural area about 22 minutes from main town. However, there are restaurants, a Blue Bell ice cream parlor, a grocery store and post office all within 8 minutes. We are 12 minutes from one of the best Disc Golf courses, 25 minutes from Parks/trails/waterfalls, and only about an hour from major tourist sites in Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg/ Knoxville/Bristol Speedway. You will have solitude during your stay but opportunities for communication and aid from the host is available. The site can be busier during holiday breaks as this is OFF a main road and is on Cherokee lake so noise echos on the water, and there may be other renters checking in other units just a heads up. Looking for a quiet slice of Kentucky! This 56-acre property is located in the outskirts of Livingston in Rockcastle County. There is ample space for tents, hammock tents or open-air camping. The property has about 3/4 of a mile of road frontage on a quiet road with a few good pull off spots, two natural springs, and lots of wildlife. Gently hilly with two hollows, remnants of old logging roads throughout and a near vertical rock wall to its northern end. The woods are mixed hardwoods and persimmon, with planted pawpaw trees. Great for hiking, seasonal foraging, and a bit of bush-whacking for the more adventurous. There are two RESTRICTED structures on site: one old unlivable hunting cabin and a 12 x 20 rustic shed that should not be bothered. There is lots to do in the area. Spelunkers can check out Pine Hill Cave a few miles away from the property. Livingston has begun to grow and is offers local kayaking excursions. There is a large 4-wheeling park and Camp Wildcat civil war battle site not far away. Wood Creek lake and Lake Linville about 20 minutes away and Lakes Cumberland and Laurel under hour.
