Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Please pick up after them.
We are a short driving distance from West Liberty, Cave Run Lake, Grayson Lake, Carter Caves, Morehead, Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge.
We are approximately 20 minutes from the nearest store so you'll want to come prepared. We are located in West Liberty (Morgan County). There are 2 centrally located bathhouses with toilet, shower and sink and a hose for potable water. We have firewood for sale for $20 per stay and is an extra option when booking(use what you need during your stay and it is centrally located near bath houses) you can bring your own and you are welcome to gather from the surrounding area but please do not cut down any living trees/limbs.
There is a centrally located community building with a Wifi hotspot, streaming TV, Keurig, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster/air fryer, swing set, foosball table and darts.

This is a funky little spot, don't be put off by the drive in. Mike has created a number (5?) of leveled gravel full hook up sites pretty close together, but very nice. Sweet communal fire pit right on a deck overlooking a little river. Fantastic bathroom with running hot water and shower! We would definitely camp here again. Thank you Mike.

My family and I loved this area for camping. It’s a beautiful property with some hiking trails if you love nature. I liked how spread out the campsites were, especially with having kids. Liz was a good host. She was very friendly and replied quickly to any messages. I liked the community area she had and the bath houses were nice. I will definitely be planning another trip out that way again.

A wonderful experience. West Virginia might be almost Heaven, but Mike’s place is Heaven. Do your dog a favor and take them to Camp Comatose. The hospitality is over the top .
It is a little tricky to get to Mike’s place , but worth the challenge .

We had a wonderful stay at this little store and enjoyed shopping in the store to get some fresh bread and Amish butter. The host were very attentive and welcoming. The property has an area where you could walk and enjoy wildflowers and was very peaceful. We’ll definitely stop again..

Very family oriented! The owner has a few family members with their campers there and everyone is amazing. I forgot propane and they let me use their grill in a heart beat. Owner is very nice and the site has water and full electric hookup. Everyone is really laid back in would highly recommend it here!

It was great for what we needed it for. The site was level and full hook up. We didn't have any reception with our cell phones and the wifi was not strong enough to get a signal. It was fine for us, helped us unplug a bit. The directions were good and didn't have any issues finding it. The road leading in is narrow for a dually and camper, but that is common for Kentucky roads. Overall it was clean and quiet. Everyone was nice.

Basic with hook ups. Screen shoot password and other info you need because cell service is very spotty. I have T-Mobile. Sites are gravel, quite wide, long and level. Neighbor who helps look after the place was very helpful.

We just wrapped up a magical weekend at Camp Comatose and I can’t say enough about the hospitality and vibe of this place! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed like family. The grounds are peaceful, well-kept, and full of character—just the kind of place that makes you want to unplug and actually relax.
One of the absolute highlights? The live music. The band was incredible—great energy, great sound, and the kind of performance that pulls everyone together around the fire. It felt like a little music festival tucked into the woods.
And let’s talk food—plenty of delicious options that kept everyone full and happy. Whether you’re a camper, glamper, or just stopping by for an event, you’ll find something to love.
Huge thanks to Mike and Cori for making our stay so memorable. We’ll definitely be back. ✨
