Shari and David were incredible hosts. If you want a no frills, beautiful, private, and unique stay, stay here. We will absolutely seek to stay here again if we are in the area. We had travel troubles and didn’t arrive until midnight and they stayed awake to meet us and guide us to our spot. We were grateful for their hospitality, flexibility, and understanding. An absolutely awesome stay!

This campground is perfect for a getaway. Mike is amazing and helped us put our kayaks in the river so we could have a nice float back down to the campsite. There are showers and working toilets. We will be back!

Our views were great and i liked the location. There is a porta potty if you need it. No tables available, so you'll want to make sure to have table/chairs if you want them. Being by the river, there's lots of mosquitoes, so make sure to bring the bug spray! Overall a good site and pretty much what we expected!

First Season Open and you would never know it! Very well operated and maintained …with heart & soul! Owner, groundsman and office staff were super hospitable and personable! Our tent camping at Black River was perfect for a quick getaway! We had electric at our site and access to bathrooms/showers and water. Next visit we plan to take advantage of the kayak rentals! This property was super pretty and well maintained! The pond was really nice and the grass was mowed. There were new fire rings placed around and we chose one close to the pond. Very quiet as we were the only campers there for the one night we stayed. The portapotty was pristinely clean in all aspects and well stocked with a hand washing station and sanitizer. It's just a few miles from Warren Dunes beach and Weko beach and lots of wineries. We will definitely be back.

We had a beautiful weekend. Nicole was a great host. The farm fresh eggs were delicious. The float on the river was peaceful and the closest I've ever been to a bald eagle. The nearby Ruth Kern nature preserve offered a quick hike with luscious greenery.

I am three miles from Lake Michigan and my town has a public access beach. I am surrounded by wineries, breweries, and antique stores. I am in the country but only a few miles off the expressway. Berrien County's adorable small towns are known for their special events all year round. My sites are dispersed so first come first choice. Find a fixed Fire Ring and set up your camp! Or pick a spot without a ring - I do have portable free fire pits.

The Haven Camping and Outdoor Wedding Venue began in 2022, Our goal is to strive to share the property that God has graciously blessed us with, with the public. The Haven is nestled on 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of Oak, Beach and Walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: The River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, The River under The Canopy of trees (site 2) small RV and tent site, The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4) great views of the river. The Cozy Corner (Site 3) by the woods on the river (this is a secluded corner and very private.) And last but not least our Cozy Camper vintage Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents (2) (site 5).
